Callistemon, I`ve had that call 3 times now, amounts from £600 up to £1300.

Thanks for all your answers I m sure I m not, it just threw me having a prime bag and what appeared to be a yellow numbered sticker on it
I did have a free trail earlier in lockdown but definitely cancelled

Go to the Amazon site, sign in, and look (top right) at where it says "Hello XXXX Account and lists" Under that you will find "Your Prime Membership"

If under that it invites you to "Start Your Amazon Prime Free Trial Membership" then you DON'T have it already.

If you DO have the free trial, it will tell you how long your free trial has to go - and you can cancel it before it is no longer free.

If you are now paying, it should tell you when your next subscription is due (I have managed so far to avoid letting it get this far, so I am not sure whether it does tell you this) but your previous payment will be visible on your bank statement.

If you have any problems with Amazon - do an on-line chat with them . It works a treat if you have any problems with Prime or a payment etc give it a go.

I’m not a member of Prime but most of my parcels from Amazon came sealed with a Prime sticker. I certainly haven’t been charged £7.99 per month which is the cost of Prime.

If you purchase something provided by Amazon costing more than £20 you don’t get charged postage. I once added a small packet of jelly beans for 95p to top up a purchase!

Unfortunately they can't hear me when I politely tell them to go away!

Well now I ve just had the phone call you are now signed up to Prime if you want to cancel press number I on your keypad

There is an Amazon scam doing the rounds so please be very careful.

Go on contact us select ‘have us call you’. Honestly I joined Amazon in 1993 when I had hip replacement and I could not get out. They have always helped with a problem and sort things out. You can if you choose to try 30 day free trial hope this helps.

I've just had a phone call from "Amazon".

Apparently someone has just spent £1,049 on Amazon using my ANZ card.

Press 1 to confirm, press 2 to speak to a cancellation officer.

Press nothing and put the phone down.

It doesnt sound as if you are in prime. I am a prime member and if I go to my account and click prime membership it shows me my prime benefits. So if you dont have that I guess you are ok.

I think they always put stuff in Prime envelopes whether you have Prime or not, Bluebelle
