To all those who have posted supportive messages and sent kind PMs in the last days, after my scary stay in hospital this week, I cannot find the words to say how much it has meant to me at a very low point.

I'm overwhelmed, but just can't find the energy to reply to all the PMs at the moment, so please don't think I'm ignoring you all.

This is GN at it's very best, when there have been some not so nice moments recently.

My special thanks to my pal, Chewbacca, who took the time to let my GN pals know, why I had vanished.

To the lurkers (I don't really like that word), who have never posted before, you have left me speechless with your kindness. ?

Dear Marydoll, one of the loveliest people on the whole of Gransnet. I’m so sorry about your blip but Charleygirl was right about that important 4-letter word. Riposati!! (Ok that’s 8) ?

Take care and hope you are feeling better soon.

M0nica Thu 07-Jan-21 22:10:20

Glad to know you are getting better. Hospitals are scary places and even more so at the moment.

Glad that you are back home safely Marydoll. I missed the news of your hospital stay too but I’ve realised that one of the reasons I enjoy your posts so much is because of your positivity and I’m sure that as long as you obey orders hmm it will help you return to better health. flowers

Paddyanne, the coronary RAH staff were indeed wonderful, as were the Paramedics, especially the dishy French one.?
Glad to hear your MIL is home safely.

As for Mr MD's string vests, I knit them myself. ? It's a chilly place Glasgow. Thank goodness I'm grounded and can't go out.!

I've just listened to Boris and the Covid drug he mentioned is the RA drug I inject weekly, which costs £1000 monthly. I am so blessed, thank God for our NHS.

I missed this news Marydoll hope you are well on the way to recovery and were treated well in hospital. We had to get an ambulance for my MIL when it looked like she had suffered a stroke and cant fault the treatment by the paramedic who arrived first and the lovely ambulance crew .Thankfully it was a mini stroke and she too is home after 3 days in RAH .
The NHS is always there when we need it

westendgirl Thu 07-Jan-21 16:55:08

All the best for a speedy recovery.

I’m glad you’ve felt the love, Marydoll. ❤️

Now, no gadding about for the next few days! If your part of Scotland is like mine, you’ll be entombed in ice anyway!

GeminiJen Thu 07-Jan-21 16:13:49

Another one here who missed your news, Marydoll.
I don't log in to GN all that often...so there's a lot that I miss hmm
Sending lots of good wishes now that I've caught up and looking forward to meeting up 'live' just as soon as get togethers are allowed again.
In the meantime, follow Dr's orders flowers....with maybe even a spot of wine?

Ninarosa Thu 07-Jan-21 15:59:43

Marydoll, allow all your family and yourself too to take great care of that heart of yours: it's made of gold.

Marydoll Thu 07-Jan-21 15:55:48

baubles that certainly made me laugh. I thought I looked really good, considering what I have been through!
