Yes Jane he was great ? we laughed here as the interviewer (Who was doing her level best to get even one negative spin on things) was stymied at every turn.
His non nonsense approach was refreshing after all the apologetic and sometimes sheepish comments we hear from
Politicians and negative doom saying from various pundits.

Adding him to my celebrity crush list along with Jonathan van Tam ☺️☺️

There was such positivity in his answer I almost wanted to cheer.

Wasn't he fantastic!So clear and upbeat.Just rang our DCs to say that was the best update I've seen in ages.Although I've avoided them lately, and most of the news, because the relentless negativity of the journalists gets me down.And hurrah for his immediate dismisal of constant comparison to NZ.

I didn’t see the interview as I assume it was just before Johnson spoke and I can’t watch the lies that comes out of his mouth, but I have read all your comments about the way the bbc interviewer conducted the interview. It chimes with many interviews by the bbc and I think that there is little doubt that the bbc has lost its way.

I have been watching CNN over the last day or two as well as during the November elections, and I am extremely impressed with the quality of their reporters and interviews. A question is asked and the interviewer listens almost entirely without interruption, allowing the person to develop their argument. Subsequent questions are asked intelligently and in depth.

It is good.

The adverts drive you insane though.

I would have been astounded if you had been. CNN is a democrat supporting broadcaster. Your instincts are Conservative at the very least so CNN would not suit you at all,

Yes, me too. He was uplifting. Well done to him.
And I also thought that the BBC interviewer was not getting the answers she was probing for.

He is amazing. I told my DH I would like him to come and live here. He is a real breath of fresh air!

I saw this interview with Sir John Bell this morning and am really glad they repeated it earlier this evening. I was also very impressed with Brigadier Phil Prosser who was also very positive and informative at this evenings briefing.

What utter nonsense!
We do have CNN on at some point every day lately but the interviewers are much too opinionated.Democrats are very like Conservatives ( Fox is the Republican channel for very right wing Americans.)
It’s just the American interviewing style.....the content is often interesting and the guest speakers.
