How are we all? Appears that you are having some rain, which is always good for the garden, so they say!
Likewise here! This time last year we were suffering those terrible bush-fires: this year most of the East coast has been drenched whilst way out West it’s their turn for fires.

Rafichagran I wouldn’t know how to “Rantz” and it’s anyone’s guess as to how much younger your “younger colleagues are!?” Are they past the “Rave” stage?
Sorry about my “Awful” jokes! Like Greatnan, I don’t write them; simply plagiarise selectively of course, so just give me a clue as to what is un-awful!
Btw. I’ve apologised to Fanny, but I’m sure she still regards me as a stirrer; you know that’s not true. don’t you! tchgrin

Megs The “problem” can be the difference between one person’s idea of banter whereby friendly banter can suddenly become very unfriendly, as witnessed by “tongue-in-the-cheek”, which was ever thus too!
How’s your jabs going? No sore arm?
All the expert commentary has completely confused me, so as I said before Relax!

Jaxjacky I forgot to check EPL fixtures on Google and I can’t risk looking right now, otherwise this message will have disappeared when I return!
Don’t say it could be shut-down! What then? TV highlights of ancient matches?
I’d be finally forced to install Win10 which has been on the to-do list for ever!

Callistemon Emirates has cancelled all flights to Eastern OZ leaving many passengers stranded overseas, so your trip down here looks a bit shaky!

Jane Hope your 3 Maine-Coons don’t cause trouble! Sorry! Just recalled; you had them over the years! Do you take Baz out “walkies”? No way could I see myself doing that!
I’ve done enough dog-walking over the years to have circled the globe twice in all weathers; I suppose Baz, like all cats refuses to go out if it’s raining!
Do you know if we have any VETS (for animals!) retired or otherwise on GN?

The Oldie which you’re currently reading has an article that brought tears to my eyes!
The letter “A horny tale” on page 48 is so funny!

Another, more substantial article, is in The Oldie Newsletter which has appeared before. You might recall, “The Joy of Latin Epitaphs for Pets” concerning dogs.
Reading it again brought tears of memories. Not so much because of the Latin theme which in itself adds to the emotive nature of the article, but the absolute memories of all the dogs we have loved down the years. None now I’m afraid!

Its getting chilly again! The C/H cuts out at midnight, i.e. about now! C/H on in mid-summer in Australia! Blame it on Climate Change, or I’m getting old! sad

Hi Rufus, City play Palace tomorrow (today for you) at 19:15, odd time, pandering to Sky or BT. Bit of a to do I gather re sports people flying in when residents can’t get home, understandable I suppose.
We had rain all morning, sun’s out now, but clouding over, no snow which is disappointing. I may have to investigate this Oldie thing that can evoke such emotions.
Take care ?

Well we have had snow here but it’s raining again so won’t be here for long. This is me making my snowball.
My Aussie friend in Bunbury says their are fires near Perth.
Mother Nature must hate us.

Hello Rufus
No sore arm and no repercussions, there are those I understand who’ll moan about anything say all sorts of after effects, just hope the vaccine knows what it should be doing although it will be weeks before any kind of normality, no silver bullet, like hugging friends and family Never mind, there was a minuscule drop in infections in London yesterday.
Hope alls still doing well with you.
We too havehad and lost pets over the years, both our sons had puppies in their teens, then then got married ( sons not dogs) guess what we then had two dogs!!! Alway had cats , now got a large moggie again , now 8 years oldie could outlive us I guess.

Keep safe

Cheers ????????

Good evening from a cold but sunny wet day in Fife it’s lovely to see the sunshine this time of the year when other parts of the country are heavy laden with snow and ice. I long for the warmer weather when I’ll be able to go for little walks a few steps at a time will improve my mobility making me believe stroke recovery is well on its way. It’s a slow slow process. sad

Good luck *Elizabeth, take it easy in the snow.
