Grandmabatty I decided to let the 1yr old run round chaotically for a couple of hours, my reward he is now sounds on my lap. Enforced rest for me........yay!

I had to read that twice because I did not believe it the first time. It was obvious even to me that if it worked before it has to work again when something has been repaired or replaced.

Sainsbury's has delivered this morning so we will in turn deliver my mum's order later this afternoon. Fish and chips on the way home and an early night in readiness for nanna duty tomorrow . Good afternoon from the Shire. I had to be reminded who Sam is but it is good to know the dear boy is now recovering. Yet another worry in the kitchen. Not to mention the continuing woes of our dear panache. Despite all her troubles she has been a great support to me and her kindness knows no bounds. It seems unjust that some people have such burdens to carry.

Thank you for those commenting on my posts. When I retired I decided to do something just for me that was not medically orientated, having spent so much of my life studying. I embarked on an MA on Art History which was amazing. It was this that taught me how to stop,listen,look, visually analyse and generally appreciate what had always been around me and what I had been too busy to really drink in in the past. It is this skill that now keeps me grounded, gives me solace and contentment as my Alzheimers starts to slowly strip away my independence of thought and action. The fuckitbuck has the odd thing thrown in now and again, but I have amazed myself at what I have achieved since diagnosis. (I consider my marathon at the top of the list.) The unsung hero in all of this, is of course, CH who deserves a medal. Also thanks to the many kitcheners who bear with my muddles and omissions regarding their own troubles

We have just done our river walk and the Thames is so high and running very fast!we certainly don’t need more rain.

So pleased to hear that yet more of us have had the jab-we are slowly getting there and soon everybody in the kitchen will have had at least the first vaccine.

Doodle my apologies but I have not asked how Mr. Doodle is. Birdbrain has even forgotten how long it has been since his accident.

N&G Sam is really looking very sorry for himself and his matted neck cannot be too comfortable. He is so handsome but he should know that by now.

Hellogirl, I'ts good that you've had the vaccination and that your son is going to have it too. I hope his chemo treatment is going to plan. I like those pictures of Sam, N&G. He has that 'poor me' look - quite justified in his case. He will be more comfortable when the matted hair is shaved off, even though that might spoil his good looks until it grows back.

Aah poor Sam - he does look sorry for himself! They really know how to tug on your heartstrings N&G.

Morning all !

Its raining cats and dogs here so there wont be much going on today !

Sam is lots better. The vet called and his blood tests are all fine but the sample they have taken of the actual cyst isn't back yet so we need to wait for that. Sam will be going in for the morning on Thursday as despite our best efforts the matting on and around the would needs shaving so we can keep the area clean. We'll discuss what further treatment he needs then.

Today , he has a new inflatable collar arriving so we can take his t shirt off . He'll be relieved :-)

Sorry to hear Mr Panache is so poorly , hopefully a short stay in hospital will help. Good to hear you got your vaccinations Hellogirl I cant wait for mine.

Good to hear that there were no more early morning shockers from poor Sam.
Well, today was J for jab day, all went well, I had the Oxford vaccine. My daughter 3 goes for hers on Wednesday, she`s only 54, but is carer to her husband. And my eldest son has his on Thursday, he wasn`t sure if he`d be able to because he`s having chemo, so was relieved to get the call.

Izabella, what a lovely description of a frosty morning. The heron looks quite dominant above that tranquil pond. It's good to hear the birds making their presence felt. I notice that the collared doves are flirting - but then, they seem to do that all year round! I haven't inspected my snowdrops recently because the steps down the garden are slippery and my son issued me with a solemn warning not to risk them and I always do what they tell me!

doodle thanks for updating us. Normally Mr Panache's problem could/would be dealt with surgically but I do appreciate his major underlying problem so that may not be possible. A worrying time for them both.

My most exciting thing tomorrow is my Morrisons delivery mid morning so I must have a night's sleep in preparation for such excitement.
