You're taking a risk Urmstongran!!

Callistemon Wed 27-Jan-21 23:30:24

muse some doggie treats can cause a problem.
It sounds disgusting but pigs' ears are sold as treats and they can cause stomach upsets and sometimes antibiotics are needed. She hasn't had anything like that, has she?

Doodle Wed 27-Jan-21 22:43:08

Nice knowing you Urms grin

Charleygirl5 Wed 27-Jan-21 22:34:01

Pitlochry is a beautiful part of the country- it makes me a tad homesick.

Urmston I will find out the answer to that question and let you know.

Urmstongran Wed 27-Jan-21 22:14:08

Funny old night.
I popped back in to see if GrandmaFrench had updated us on her appointment with the doctor. I hope she is alright.
I hope I’m allowed to ask that.

Doodle Wed 27-Jan-21 22:11:14

Muse don’t worry about what’s happened today. It’s a very rare event in the kitchen which hardly ever has a deleted post. Some of us were just bit upset about something that has happened to a regular poster.
Hope your little dog is ok

Next time I visit family in Scotland, I'll insist on a visit the the House of Bruar. Maybe we could have a meeting of kitcheners there!

Jaxjacky Wed 27-Jan-21 21:33:28

Pitlochry, the A9, my in laws used to live in Drumnadrochit, so I’ve been up that road, a long overnight drive from Hampshire!

muse Wed 27-Jan-21 21:22:24

Hello Everyone
I wish I could understand what has happened today in Soop's Kitchen. It was a shock to read what's happened re: deleted posts.

I love damsons too Callistemon. Perhaps there's room in my garden smile
Marydoll I'd love to visit Scotland. Particularly the west coast.

My rescue dog and myself have been at the vet's this afternoon. She's got poop problems (just over a week now) but the vet can't find anything wrong with her. I'm positive she hasn't eaten anything strange. Got to worm her again and then try changing her food. She's been on the same food for 2 years with no problems. Oh Well. I'll see what I get up to in the morning. Poor dog, she didn't like the examination. shock

brook2704 Wed 27-Jan-21 19:14:14

Pitlochry sounds excellent and just what’s needed marydoll !! such a good idea to have something to look forward to
My DH always used to sit in the restaurant at House of Bruar whilst I browsed or if I took too long I’d usually find him outside near the river ?

Charleygirl5 Wed 27-Jan-21 19:05:59

Marydoll I have never heard of it- it sounds just the place I could get lost in. Maybe I could go there with an empty suitcase?

Marydoll Wed 27-Jan-21 19:02:49

brook, we are booked for a couple of nights in Pitlochry in May. (Fingers crossed).

I have been saving my pennies. House of Bruar was a palace of delights, especially their sale hall!!! (grin). I had imagined it to be something like the Edinburgh Woollen Mill. Oh I was sooooo wrong! I just need to figure out what to do with Mr Marydoll, who at the moment seems to be permanently glued to my side. He means well.

Bella, thank you. If only I had some good spirits, but I'm no longer allowed a tipple. wink

Charleygirl5 Wed 27-Jan-21 19:01:20

N&G present and correct.

Callistemon Wed 27-Jan-21 18:07:48

I love damsons

brook2704 Wed 27-Jan-21 18:05:08

Thank you for the honey baklava and Metaxa yiayia, I don’t think I’ve had Metaxa before ...but looking forward to trying it ?

brook2704 Wed 27-Jan-21 18:01:58

Oooh House of Bruar Marydoll now that was my most favourite stopping off point whenever we went up or down the A9 to Edinburgh or Glasgow! Missing those days ...

Yiayia4 Wed 27-Jan-21 17:56:56

To bring you cheer honey baklava and Metaxa a cure for all ills!!
Had a walk today first for nearly a week.Nice to get out but very muddy along the river. So many people now have dogs lockdown puppies!
Have a good evening stay safe.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 27-Jan-21 17:31:18

Panache sometimes posts on the lockdown gang thread.

annodomini Wed 27-Jan-21 17:30:55

Dwarf damson trees! Just the job. My old damson tree at the end of the garden collapsed into the brook last year when the bank was undermined in a flood. I miss that lovely blossom, like a bridal veil.

kittylester Wed 27-Jan-21 17:29:04

Which sort of proves my point!!

Nannytopsy Wed 27-Jan-21 17:26:58

PS If Panache is reading, please know that we are thinking of you and your dear man. ?

Nannytopsy Wed 27-Jan-21 17:25:08

That was unsporting of him Marydoll - doesn’t everyone need a damson tree? How else will you make damson whisky? ?
We watched our squirrel jump over the plastic anti rodent dome yesterday and start on the seeds! Little devil.

Bellanonna Wed 27-Jan-21 17:22:29

Marydoll, you sound in good spirits x

Marydoll Wed 27-Jan-21 17:17:34

Callistemon, House of Bruar have a huge food hall, (I could have spent all day there), as well as furniture, high end clothing, all the Gransnetter's favourite brands and so much more.
I tried to buy some dwarf damson trees, but DH reigned me in! wink

Bellanonna Wed 27-Jan-21 17:16:08
