Plasters that actually stick - I have to plaster small cuts on my hands caused by eczema and they fall off the first time I wash my hands. Grrr!

What do you wish someone would invent?..........

Self dead-heading rose bushes!

I wish someone would invent a pill that would fix all of your issues in one go.

Spine problems? Fixed
Need a new knee? Not any more! ?
Need heart stents? Nope, valves have been fixed
Cholesterol issues? What issues?

There would be no surgery needed. No months or years of waiting.

Just one little pill ?

I wish someone would invent a machine that throws husbands out of bed in the morning. My DH stays up until the early hours in his study on his computer speaking to people all over the world but then stays in bed until midday if he gets his way.
It is so annoying. He used to tell me all the things he had talked about the previous night until I told him I just do not want to know the opinion of complete strangers!

a dishwasher that empties itself - now that would be brilliant.

And an OH that clears up after himself- but not sure that will ever be invented ahaha

A spray so you can see covid in the air?

Ask at your local pharmacy to see if they stock the plasters used by nurses etc. We needed some larger plasters than usually available and we were sold the white ones used by nurses etc. Not kept on display. Needed for large graze on someones knee and lasted well.

Spectacles that do not steam up!

Luckygirl I too have eczema on my hands thats breaks down into small cuts. I have found using Argon oil before bed definitely improves things. Its not greasy as such and you only need a few drops. I rub excess on my elbows and lips. It doesn't taste of anything.
Its a little pricey but I prefer it to steroid creams from the drs.

I would like A tablet to take that would treat everything rather than the pile I have that could be considered a meal in itself ?
One Dr that could diagnose and treat all ailments in one appointment rather than different specialists in different hospitals etc.

Finally a time machine. So I could have been with my mum when she died, alone, in the hospital, rather than 600 miles away with no chance of making it ?
My siblings who live closer didn't make it either ?.

Windscreen wipers for glasses

Would love to have a shower that not only washes but dries you!
Or a cupboard that irons your clothes for you!

A sun lounger with a hole for your face (when you are lying on your front) and a shelf underneath to put your book on! They have those beds when you go for a massage and it would be a much more comfortable position to sunbathe in.

It’s got to be teleportation so we could see our girls and families. They’re in England and we’re in France and missing them all so much

Sodapop yes I did google ‘dog nappies’ but like you feel I couldn’t take away a dog’s dignity!

Witzend Thu 21-Jan-21 09:34:38

I’d like a self-cleaning bath.

@Casdon, for many years while living in the Middle East we had mesh screens on all the windows and the kitchen door. They were essential there for keeping flies out, but they would often get incredibly dusty - would need to be removed and washed - and I was very glad to see the back of them when we finally moved back to the U.K.

I would like an automatic winter windscreen cover that rolls down like a blind at the touch of a switch.

I'd like a dishwasher that empties itself - for some reason I find it such a chore. I need to put my dirty breakfast dishes in but can't until I empty the darn thing!

sodapop Thu 21-Jan-21 09:00:41

Bluesky you can actually get nappies for dogs either disposable or washable. We did look at them for our elderly JR but decided we couldn't take away his dignity like that. Fortunately he was only incontinent of urine.

A time machine

Nappies for dogs or dogs that don’t poo!

NotAGran55 Wed 20-Jan-21 22:36:38

Luckygirl have you tried Compeed plasters ? They are for feet but might do the trick . They stick like glue and come in various sizes .

Casdon Wed 20-Jan-21 22:35:07

I’m with you JackyB. My sister lives in Australia, and they have mesh screens built into their windows and doors so you can open them without getting insects in your house at all. I’ve looked for them in the UK to no avail.

Magic the work that needs to be done on my teeth in five minutes, or less, by a quick lasering or something..with no discomfort of course!
