What is top of your list once this is all over?

Isolation has made me realise that I have a very small circle of friends . I'm going to become a YES girl , and go to social events instead of avoiding them .
Might even come to a Gransnet meet up !

Hug my family before taking them for a celebration meal where we can plan a family holiday. Before I go I will also need to book an appointment with hairdresser, chiropodist and manicurist and possibly buy some new clothes if I have not shifted the weight put on during Covid!

Hugs with the family first and foremost, then call in the decorators! We had planned to redecorate last Spring, when we had realised that DIY was a thing of the past. In the meantime our home looks “tired”, much like the country and most of the people in it.

I will be going to Canada to see my only son, daughter-in-law & 5 year old Granddaughter.....who I wont have seen for 2 years (IF we do manage to get there this year?) I do get a little exasperated with some Grandparents moaning they havent seen their Grandchildren for 2 weeks etc. Spare a thought for families living apart all over the world please...where it isnt weeks it can be years!

Nails and hair. Take daughter and family for slap up meal. Then book flights to see son and family I haven't seen for 18 months.

But hair first as they won't recognise me otherwise shock

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 28-Jan-21 09:43:29

Go out for a meal at my local pub, fish and chips in a cafe and get the bus into town to mosey round somewhere like John Lewis and M&S just for the fun of it.

Beanie654321 Thu 28-Jan-21 09:41:22

Hugs with my children and grandchildren.

I will be booking the 1st flight I can for UK.My DD,my only 2 grandchildren,my elderly Mother and siblings live there.Im only in Ireland but I might as well be on the moon right now.I used to fly at least once a month to see them.On my way to the Airport I will call to my Best friend and give her the biggest hug and we will have a cry together, she's just lost her DD and I haven't even been able to see her,let alone a hug.One day we will be able to do these things again.Thankyou Berylsgranny for asking this, this has been uplifting rather than political smile

Esspee Thu 28-Jan-21 09:35:01

See all the family and cook them a meal with champagne and celebration cakes. I have a rich fruit cake which I will decorate when the time comes. There is a rich chocolate cake in the freezer. I see the family on zoom e erg week, but it isn’t the same is it? My daughter needs a big cuddle. She split from her partner of 7 years last autumn. Oh well.

We are planning an official opening of our summerhouse. Bit of a squeeze for us all but should be ok if we all cuddle up.
So many cuddles to catch up on.

If safe, I'd like a meal out in a restaurant. Also a trip to the cinema or theatre.

It will be great to see friends and family too but I think, for this thread, you meant specific activities.

It will be great to go shopping in an actual shop, apart from a supermarket.

Good thought Berylsgranny we all need a bit of positivity at the moment, don't worry about the naysayers.
I look forward to seeing my family and spending time in UK with them. I have a long standing arrangement for a birthday meal with my friend at a very nice restaurant so that's on the list too. Last but not least to get back to my voluntary role running a small library.smile

Skallagrigg Wed 27-Jan-21 19:24:05

See my First Grandchild Cora who was born in early December. Have a DeLuxe Pedicure because I have hardly had my walking boots off in the last 12 month's. Go to a classical music concert, catch a train just because I can.

kittylester Wed 27-Jan-21 19:10:52

Have big party at our house to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary, 2 x 50th birthdays and 2 x 40th birthdays. And the chance to hug my family and friends!!

NotAGran55 Wed 27-Jan-21 18:20:13

Family and friends first obviouslysmile

Be spontaneous as before. Jump in the car, drive to London, mooch around, visit Liberty , eat out , go to gigs .

Plan and go to Australia again and to New Zealand for a long break .

maddyone Wed 27-Jan-21 17:13:06

Book a holiday, go to the theatre, have meals out with my family, barbecue in the garden with my family. I can’t wait.

Pinkarolina Wed 27-Jan-21 17:00:38

Get my car washed! It is absolutely filthy after driving up and down an A road every day this winter. I’m worried someone is going to write rude words on it before it can be washed.
