How many of you stay in your PJ's for the day?

Sometimes i do, but its not usually my style smile

mothertrucker52 Fri 29-Jan-21 10:49:44

No, I would freeze to death, I'm currently wearing a t-shirt, thermal vest, long- sleeved top, fleecy jumper, lumberjack shirt, jeans and ug boots - in my living room!

Craftycat Fri 29-Jan-21 10:44:59

I wish I could bring myself to stay in 'snuggies' as we call them but I can't. I often have to go to the door for postman etc. & I'd feel awful. Plus I am trying to get a daily walk in ( not today- it is teeming down & all the cats are snuggled on beds & blankets around the house. Cats are so sensible.
I confess the PJs go on about 4pm though!

harrigran Fri 29-Jan-21 10:42:04

Only if I am ill otherwise get properly dressed.

Rosalyn69 Fri 29-Jan-21 10:41:23

I love wearing PJs all day but it’s on rare occasions. I fear it could become a downward spiral.

mrsgreenfingers56 Fri 29-Jan-21 10:38:41

No, never unless I have been ill. I can still hear my late father saying to me and my sisters when we got up without getting dressed "Stop slopping about in your dressing gowns". So up for a cuppa, breakfast, shower and dress and make up. But each to their own as they say.

RosesAreRed21 Fri 29-Jan-21 10:37:24

No never the only time I would is when I would be that poorly that I cant get out of bed but apart from that will always get dressed.

dolphindaisy Fri 29-Jan-21 10:35:04

Never - I always have breakfast in my dressing gown but would hate to sit around in nightclothes all day, I would find it depressing. I need to get washed and dressed for my own wellbeing (but haven't worn the cocktail dresses much lately)

Missfoodlove Fri 29-Jan-21 10:32:09

I have tried but just cannot do it!
I know nobody will come to the door but it just feels wrong.

Blossoming Fri 29-Jan-21 10:32:02

No, I don’t. It’s yoga pants and a vest top while I do my exercises, then it depends what I’m doing for the day.

If others want to that’s up to them.

Americanpie Fri 29-Jan-21 10:26:31

No never. I always get up and have my first coffee or tea whilst wearing my dressing gown but then always get dressed and do my makeup etc. Doing this is a really positive ritual that makes me feel good.

BlueSapphire Fri 29-Jan-21 09:44:05

In my dressing gown till mid-morning, then shower and get dressed. Could not face the day without that. I do have nightwear, but it is just for hospital, and staying away from home. Bought some 'loungewear', and occasionally wear that after my shower.

Hetty58 Fri 29-Jan-21 02:24:16

All the time, right now, except when I go out. I've adapted well to lockdown conditions (and chilly weather). It's so easy to do the laundry, too!

Kim19 Fri 29-Jan-21 02:01:53

Nope, couldn't manage that. I'm already sometimes confused with the days. Don't want to add the hours to that dilemma!

SueDonim Thu 28-Jan-21 15:54:35

What Bluebelle says. I occasionally have a pj day on a Sunday if I’m not going out but then I usually discover I need to go outside for something anyway!

I’d start to feel sorry for myself and think I was ill if I slopped about in pj’s all the time. Otoh, my two dds seem to have no trouble wearing pyjamas for much of the time!

BlueSky Thu 28-Jan-21 15:25:17

Well said Doodledog! ?

Nightsky2 Thu 28-Jan-21 14:18:58

Same routine every day, boring I know but it’s the same every day. Breakfast, dog out for a wee, or dog out for a wee then breakfast followed with a quick bath, hair and face creams and a little eye makeup up, hair brushed and get dressed but what for.....
I would have to be unwell to stay in my pjs.

crazyH Thu 28-Jan-21 14:09:52

Well said Doodledog - I’ve been to the shops in my jeans - back home and in my pyjamas - and after my evening shower, I will get into a fresh pair .....

Liz46 Thu 28-Jan-21 14:07:07

The only time I did that was when I had pneumonia. I would get up, have a shower, put fresh pjs on, have breakfast and go back to bed.
The bra is a different story. We went for a walk this morning and I became too hot. My husband said he would carry my coat for me and I was much more comfortable until I remembered I was braless. I told him, he had a look and said 'it makes your belly look bigger!'

Doodledog Thu 28-Jan-21 14:04:19

I don't think it has anything to do with 'standards' grin. My standards are far more about how I treat people, but I suppose we are all different.

I sometimes stay in pyjamas if I know I am not going out or having visitors (when those things were possible). I always brush my teeth and hair, though, and have got back into the habit of putting on a bit of perfume, when I realised that lockdown had stopped me from bothering. If I have worn pyjamas in the day (thus saving on washing and wearing out normal clothes) I change into a clean pair after my evening bath.

tanith Thu 28-Jan-21 14:01:34

No I’m up showered and dressed first thing I put pjs on early evening but I don’t sleep in them.

Jaxjacky Thu 28-Jan-21 13:57:29

Nope, don’t even own any. Up, wash, teeth and dressed.

NotSpaghetti Thu 28-Jan-21 13:55:46

Never.
Unless I was too ill to get up.

MissChateline Thu 28-Jan-21 13:53:15

Under no circumstances, I’m up, showered and off for my morning stomp through the woods by 8am. Love it that the mornings are getting a wee bit lighter so I can be out earlier every day. It’s a lovely time of the day.
However I do love the time after dinner when it’s OK to put on my leopard print onesie for the evening!

Lexisgranny Thu 28-Jan-21 13:47:06

When I am certain there will be no deliveries I must admit to a very cosy onsie on chilly days, but I do put lipstick on and give my hair a good brushing to make up for it.

Riverwalk Thu 28-Jan-21 13:43:10

IMO, unless you have mobility problems or are ill, it doesn't matter what you wear during the day, loungewear, casual, pyjamas, etc, but staying all day in what you've slept in is slobbish!

Just why would you not get washed and dressed in fresh clothes?
