What a difference a day makes! Rained last night and all day today. Steady vertical type falling from a leaden grey sky. Definitely un-Australian!
I think she said it had been one month’s average in a single day!
Nothing like your recent dumping in the Midlands.

How about this for “stupid”?
A nutter was caught breaking into one of the hotels being used for 14 day quarantining of returned o/seas travellers. He was caught after entering via a lift-shaft at 3 am. The hotels have “armed guards” to stop inmates from breaking out, for which there are severe penalties, but I don’t think the authorities have considered this eventuality! hmm
He's now doing his 14 days whilst the police think up what to do with him! grin !

Poor Southampton! Couldn’t keep up the good work forever, I suppose, unlike The Blades “doing” United!. Meanwhile City marches on, 5-0 v WBA.
That made my day yesterday, watching the video recording over breakfast!

In addition to all the repeats of regular TV progs. including all the updates on Covid, we are re-visiting a whole series of documentaries dealing with Nazi Germany, the Holocaust, the Nuremberg trials etc.
I remember at the end of the war seeing all these News films in the cinema and hearing promises that they must be shown repeatedly forever!
Most of it makes harrowing viewing of course and it often has me thinking of what would it have been like if Hitler had succeeded in crossing the Channel?
I wonder if any author has written anything about such an event?

Now of course, things are vastly different!
Michael P’s recent repeat involved Germany’s railway system and the re-building of historic towns.
It was all so futile and sad.

Must go!

Hi Rufus the idjuts get worse don’t they, quite a few having celebrations with lots of people, but the latest is a group of ‘environmentalists’ have dug a large tunnel under the road in Euston area in protest of HS2 railway line, not sure what they’ll achieve apart from a dirty great sink hole when the whole lot collapses.Of course I am perfect ?. Snow gone from our area but still very cold. Had call from NZ rellies and they like you are roasting , not rain.at themomentthough, apparently had alot a while ago and everything growing like mad; you win some, you lose some.
Our lockdown is showing no sign of ending any time soon the strange thing is how fast the time goes when doing nothing,
several people have said the same.
Take care

Hi Rufus, hope your check up went ok. Saints have Villa tomorrow, City should see off the Blades. We’ve had heavy rain the last couple of nights, more due tomorrow and the temperature is dropping again., still, we haven’t much else to talk about. The wrangling over vaccine supply between the EU and the UK rumbles on like squabbling children, if it’s not one thing.... My car looks doomed to sit on the drive for a few more weeks yet, I don’t think just driving it around for fun counts as essential, or part of my daily exercise.
Take care ?
