This is quite a long post but, aimed at reassuring anyone who is concerned about having the vaccine.
I went for my first jab this morning at our local football stadium. I could not have been more impressed. There were stewards at the gate ushering cars into the car park, after asking what time was the appointment.
Inside the club house, it was like clockwork — in the door, name to volunteer at desk, card and sheet containing personal details handed over and ushered to a seat. When called to a small cubicle, the vaccinator, in my case a recently retired doctor, filled in the sheet of paper after asking about allergies, drugs and current health. After giving the vaccination, a sticky label was stuck on my jacket. This stated the time I would be allowed to leave (after 15 minutes sitting again). Nobody could leave until the time on that label!
The only very minor criticism I have is that although hand sanitiser was given on way in, there was none on the way out but, I always have some in my car
