Good Morning Saturday, in absentia for Mick

Good morning all from a grey damp West Yorkshire.
As I’m not a crafter either, I generally try to rustle up something different occasionally. Yesterday’s banana bread was a hit with the OH and I took some to my Mum.
Am wondering what to do with a tin of Spam that’s hiding in the back of the cupboard? Have memories of eating it at school fried in batter.
Vaccine day tomorrow for OH. Am so pleased.
Have a good day.

Good Morning All x.
A dark horrible cold windy/rainy morning and I already loathe Saturdays as it is. If we could miss a day out of the week it would be today. I don't know why.

I must have been asleep from 10.30 last night as for some reason I was tired yesterday. Anyway awake at 6am so that'll do me.
No shopping needed so no need to go out and a " ready " veg curry and rice dinner courtesy M&S so no cooking today either.

Bed changeing to do and a bit of tidying up but not much else.

Thinking of those who are unwell and know of someone who is, as I think we all do or have done.
Hope Auntieflo got on alright yesterday.x

Take great care and stay safe if out and about. xx

Good morning all, thanks for taking up the reins this morning grandMattie.

The mobile dog groomer will be here soon, poor little pooch doesn’t like it but she would get very matted if I let it go. After that I have to log on to the livestream funeral Mass of an aunt who has been in a care home for several years now. I would normally have travelled to Ireland for the funeral, they are only allowed ten people in the church and of course no wakes are permitted.

Holding Marydoll’s friend in my thoughts and wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Good morning and it’s rained all night here in Essex. Still pouring now. I’m expecting DS1 to be bringing our shopping anytime soon. He likes to be up and about early. Lovely chap that he is!

Oh Sar sorry to hear you e been so sad. You’ve probably been worrying about your DD. along with everything else, it’s not surprising we have these off days. Hoping for a cheerier day for you. ?.

I do hope Mick is ok ?. Well done for opening granmattie.

Gagagran so pleased your Covid family are getting better ?. It’s good to hear of recoveries.

Yesterday was such a lovely sunny day, we took a short trip to Leigh on Sea and walked through the cockle sheds, bought some shell on prawns and headed for the small beach. The tide was high with lots of swimmers ?‍♀️. Life felt so normal for a short while.

I think the rain is in for the day, so will hunker down. I’ve watched half of The Dig which is a lovely gentle film about Sutton Hoo, so I’ll watch the last half of that. It’s so familiar set in the Suffolk countryside. Our seaside cottage isn’t far from there, so it’s lovely to watch.

Well folks, please have a pleasant day and enjoy the things you love. ????

Good morning from a soggy S Hants, more rain forecast. Thanks for opening Gm, better news Gaga and DD home safe Sar. Bit disappointed as Radio 2 has a weekend of show music, not for me, so on my walk yesterday I listened to Gardeners Question Time, made a change. DH will get me a paper later, my weekly treat, the crossword will keep me quiet for ages. Hoover will get bunged round later and bathrooms cleaned. Best wishes to absent GNers and a gentle day for all.

Good morning everyone from a dark dreary Lancashire.
It's fine at the moment but liable to change.

The streets are normally aired before I venture out but today is vaccine day so up and out of bed early for a change.I need to inject and breakfast before I leave the house.

I hope Mick is soon back in his usual place and that Marydoll' friend has good news about the baby.
Stay safe all and try to find something that makes you smile.

Good morning from a dark east coast of Fife. As I’m not yet up I’m not sure what the weathers like out there today. Here’s to a good day whatever. In was on my exercise bike aka moto med yesterday it went very smoothly and I was so pleased with my arm, hand and leg movements. I’m going on it twice today to get my stamina strengthened more My sleeping pattern should then improve.
At the moment I waken about 3 times a night I would be happy to only waken twice a night.

I’m having fluffy scrambled eggs with a little bacon for breakfast this morning that’ll get me out of this warm pit alright. Hope you lovely gns have a good Saturday, sending virtual hugs to everyone. Spread those smiles they’re catchy you know smile

Good morning grandMattie and All.

I’ve decided grandMattie that you are Granville to Mick’s Arkwright, keeping the shop going inMick’s absence ?

Rain due all day in South Bucks with a bit of sleet too.
Prayers go out to Mary’s young mum friend, hoping for improving news.

I managed to change the date of my jab to a couple of days earlier, it almost has put a spring in my step knowing that soon I will join the millions of other recipients ?

Keep safe folks.

Good morning all from a wet north Surrey.
So glad to hear your family are all recovering Gagagran and do hope we hear some good news from Marydoll of her friends pregnant DGD. We have a work colleague who is very unwell in hospital with Covid too.
I have work later so will probably just potter this morning with a few household chores.
Wishing all a good day

Good morning from a soggy seaside at Torbay!

Thanks to grandMattie again for “opening up shop”!

It’s good to hear of your relatives recovering, Gagagran, and I hope you will feel happier today, Sar43, knowing that your daughter is recovering at home.

My dental appointment went well and I like the new chap who has replaced my previous dentist. His name is Mohammed but he must have lived locally for some time as he referred to me as “my lovely”! He had a most reassuring manner so I felt very relaxed.

Have a happy weekend! ?

Good morning from a very wet and windy Essex by the sea. It appears to be blowing a gale outside. We have the window open a little in our bedroom and I woke up freezing cold.
DD2 went home from hospital yesterday morning. I will send her some flowers later to cheer her up.
I had a sad, emotional day yesterday, lots of tears, hopefully today will be better.
I don't think we will be going out walking if this rain carries on so a day in the warm. I do believe there is football on later.
Take care today, don't get blown away and stay safe everyone xx

Morning all! Dark and wet here on the south coast. 8.2c at 6am, I am so fed up of January, which has felt a real drag this year in so many ways.

Another day with nothing planned. I am not a crafter at all so am full of admiration for those who are and who produce such lovely and/or useful things. My talents, such as they are, lie very much in a different direction.

My DSiL actually went back to work yesterday. He has lost his sense of taste, which seems to be a by product of the virus. DD is improved but fatigued. DGS seems to have slept the virus away. At 15 he is a brilliant sleeper!

I hope Mick is soon restored to us and that all those with troubles of any kind find some peace and recovery today. Our resilience reserves are being stretched almost to the limit.

Keep safe and keep keeping on everyone! sunshine

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s raining and coming from the east by the look of the windows. There is sleet forecast for later.
Thanks for opening Mattie.

I enjoyed my SOAP Urm. Smelt lovely while cooking. It’ll be a keeper. It reminded me of a dish I used to make many moons ago, a layer of cooking apple, onion, sausage meat topped with a tin of tomatoes.

I’m expecting a parcel today so will be forced to stay home not like the usual gadding about everywhere I do lately ??

Stay safe and well all ?⛄️

Nannytopsy Sat 30-Jan-21 06:34:09

Good morning grandMattie and all to come. Dry here in Suffolk at the moment but we are on the edge of the snow or rain forecast for later.
I started making a curtain for the front door yesterday so today’s job will be to finish that. It will hang on a swinging rod, so it has to be double sided rather than lined, with tab tops.
There will be rugby to watch too. Sadly Tigers lost last night.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

grandMattie Sat 30-Jan-21 06:21:00

Good morning everyone from a wet E Kent. The forecast is for a very wet day. Unusual as the rain usually misses us. I hope Mick is still fine and he comes back soon. X
I’m very excited as I only have two edges of the quilt I’m making for DS2 to go. All I’ll need to do to finish will be to embroider my initials and the year, like a true professional (which I emphatically am not).
I’m praying so hard for the poor pregnant young woman, her baby and family. I hope today brings better news.
Today is going to be a lovely day for everyone; all worries banished, ☀️ and ? in our lives! Stay safe.
