Why don’t you email to complain? They usually bend over backwards if a customers not happy?

Complain on their Facebook or Twitter, good results usually.

You can use the coffee vouchers in M & S fuel stations.

My local M and S has a separate coffee shop outside the store's main entrance. Presumably it is still open to serve takeaway coffee at present so the coupons are usable.

I don't know about coffee vouchers but all the M&S stores are open in the Edinburgh area as they sell food and clothes. I emailed M&S as DH got trekking trousers for Christmas and they are broken and DGS2 got clothes that are too small. Very promptly received a pleasant email back explaining that they are extending the refunding and exchanging and that .... store was open and could visit if I felt appropriate. So I did and all sorted. It was well monitored and checkouts cleaned extensively after each customer - witnessed this. Didn't look at the cafe though. Dobbies are allowing drinks vouchers to add up on your card. Had an email about that as well.

Should have said food and clothes or food only.

I rarely go into M&S, I lose the will to live - their clothes are for frumpy old women or anorexic teenage dwarves [I'm 5'10" tall].
The food hall has lovely things, but is so full of "old people" either dithering or barging in, or they don't have any of the special offers I want, that I feel unsafe even in 'normal' times.
Ergo, I don't go there very often. Having said that, apart from one bad experience, the service staff is very friendly and helpful.

Don’t worry, Berylsgranny, I think it’s obligatory to have a moaning about M & S thread on GN at least once a month.

I dropped out of Premium Club as we stopped going to the M&S cafe - very slow service, dirty tables and inconsistent drinks. However, I’m an M&S card holder and they’ve sent an offer of 500 points on any 2 purchases of ‘home and clothing’. No minimum spend.

I’ve not been in any M&S since before Christmas and can’t remember before that. Our local food hall is a nightmare, especially people milling around any offers/dine in - it’s a free for all.

Oh dear grand attire lol our local M&S is lovely, obviously some of the clothes are not the type I’m into, I’m 5’8’ so not as tall as you, and I wouldn’t describe anyone as a anorexic teenage dwarf, very harsh! Or old people dithering ( they are allowed to look you know, younger people can push in also, ours is very calm at the best of times, and well run, staff are lovely

Berylsgranny you prompted me to open the letter from M&S that has been lying around for a few days now. I’m outages because I’ve only got 12 coffee vouchers! How did you get 24??

M&S have allowed the vouchers to roll over in precious lockdowns so I hope they’ll do the same again. They come in handy particularly when we look after our small granddaughter as she loves to go to M&S and have ‘coffee’ out with GM & GP. She has Percy Pig juice but it’s still coffee to her.

I also received a lot of the money vouchers which indicates I’ve spent quite a bit in there, lately. Must be the Xmas presents, I think. I use the vouchers towards the cashmere jumpers I’ve started buying.

SueDonim I have 24 as I have yet to use the last lot of coffee vouchers sent as I now have no M & S cafe to go to. I am thinking of cancelling my Premium Club as there is not much benefit to me now. Our local M & S cafe closed and with the restrictions and closure of their other cafes what's the point. .

Are you still in the middle age bracket? Or old enough to be called old??
Think I will go for a ‘mash up’ and say I am an old frumpy dwarf who dithers about in the food hall ( although not for a year at least).
M&S haven’t got their clothes right for the last few years, as we frequently say on the many threads we have about them.
Beryl I agree with you, without the cafe being open what’s the point of all the coffee vouchers, a food hall voucher would be the better choice.

Ah, yes, the previous 12. I had used up some of those on my childminding forays. Not sure how many I have left, I’ll need to check.

The main M&S in town kept the cafe open for takeaway in the previous lockdowns but it’s shut this time. All the toilets in town seem to be closed, too, which is v unfortunate if, like me, you have a healthcare appointment in town. Even the clinic toilet was shut! I had to wait until I got home, a 45min drive.

We love having coffee in M&S, particularly if we can get a window seat so handbag etc does not go on the floor, but haven't been since lockdown. We have ordered a few things online, using leftover coupons and getting free delivery for spending over £50 so are still in the Premium Club which we originally joined because of the travel insurance benefit.

I have just received two pairs of thermal leggings - they arrived in 48 hours and are the best, softest and most comfortable leggings I have ever had, as well as being very warm. Thumbs up for M&S!

harold - we also joined because of the insurance benefit and of course all the other perks. However, we, like most of us have not been able to enjoy holidays last year or in fact not sure if we will this year either so having the insurance for us at the moment is maybe a fee of £25/month a bit silly. Shall have a think about it though. I've always been an M & S fan.

I’m 72, so old, but it doesn’t mean I have to be frumpy! I’m wearing bright teal jeggings and a teal printed shirt- so not dressing ’old’
