Good Morning Everyone,
Up early as usual here in Brackley , its looking frosty outside , with weather changes latera swell for us.
Today , apart from TV and eating may attempt another shop, I received my exempt face mask card from my surgery yesterday , have yet to use in the outside world such as a supermarket .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning from central scotland. Zero degrees but no forecast of snow just very overcast. Just another day of not doing much. Keep safe
Morning all from a chilly North east, no snow yet, but hail just stopped, bitter wind.
Stay warm and safe.
Good morning Mick and all his followers.
Our Suffolk snow has arrived, rather later than forecast, with a strong wind. We have about one centimetre.
Shepherds’ pie tonight, before we start the low carb thing again tomorrow. I have a door to paint (yet another coat!) and a basket of ironing, so I had best get to it.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Is your roof holding up this time Kitty?
Good morning everyone from a colder but dry South Manchester. My stepfather is coming for lunch and we’re having roast gammon , roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese. There’s a bottle of Sancerre in the fridge to share with Himself as stepfather always has Grouse with water (unless we push the boat out and have a wee dram or two of malt some days).
What a coincidence that Bishop Vivienne is known to two on here who live miles apart. It like one of the 6° of separation thingies!
We do all care for one another on here which is so lovely. Last night when brushing my teeth I was thinking about Marydoll, Georgesgran, Autieflo, Sar53, gillybob, MawBe and Phoenix. These are stressful and sad times for many.
To end on an upbeat note - a friend, same age as me (66) with no underlying conditions has been called for her vaccination today! Wowzer. She lives in Chorlton and was amazed (but delighted) to be called so soon!
Hope Sunday is kind to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x
Good morning, Mick and everyone from the Cumbrian coast where it's dry, cool and mostly cloudy. I'm hoping for a bit of sun later when I might go out for a stroll. For now it will be a typical Sunday morning, belting out a bit of opera on the sound system and wading through the papers I bought yesterday. I've also got a large tome on music history I'm hoping I might get finished today. I started it at Christmas but I've been interspersing it with lighter stuff....which keeps me going in the darker days.
Hope the weather won't prove challenging for anyone, have a good day all.
Good morning from Shropshire where it’s a dry but cold start to the day.
A lazy day planned here.Usually have a quiet day on a Sunday reading and catching up on TV.
Thoughts with Auntieflo and Georgesgran and anyone else with illness and worries.
Have a good day all.
Thank you Marydoll for saying what a lot of us are thinking out of concern for Mick.
Good morning from the NE where we have a slight dusting of snow.
Will read the newspaper and do the crossword today in between meal times.
Chicken casserole for lunch but I am not eating a great deal at present.
Lovely to hear that the calf is loved by his adopted mum ?
Thinking of Georgesgran and all with worries.
Good Morning All x.
A bit breezy this morning, but it's a cold wind that penetrates if your nose is out of the door too long. So far it's dry but it's going to be bitterly cold everywhere.
Just dinner to think about today---roast lamb etc. I could eat it now to be honest but I'll make do with the crumpets
I enjoyed my fillet of salmon yesterday, very lip-smacking.
Peace and quiet for 5 minutes while the cats are out, if only I had the energy to fly around with the hoover while the going's good----if only ! I don't think it matters.
It's starting to get lighter in the mornings and I love it after what seems an age in darkness for months. Just this alone gives you a bit of a lift. All we want now is a bit of warmth to go with it.
So glad to hear that the calf has been accepted into the fold Sheepandcattle as it must be a worrying time if they're rejected at such a vital time in their life. I hope you don't get the bad weather that's forecast.
No sign of D yesterday, though I wasn't particularly waiting for her to call, her life is so busy.
Thoughts with everyone today and hoping nobody gets snowed in. Take great care and stay safe. Have a peaceful day.xx
Good Morning Mick.
Love your post sheep'.
You take care too Mary Wondering if you've had your vaccine yet. Did I miss you saying you had?
Damp, grey and miserable in Cornwall. Temperature dropping to minus figure tonight. Walk with Mya was not pleasant. I'm still persevering with getting her bowels back to normal. That means a very early morning sunrise walk. She'd always sleep through till I got up at 9:00 ish.
Take care everyone. Roll on those lovely spring days.
Morning Mick and All.
The snow hasn’t arrived in South Bucks ?
Ate something yesterday which has given me griping pains. I’ve had this before and need to rest with a permanent hottie attached to me ? and only eat bland food till it passes. Last time it took 5 days to go. So I shall watch the tennis, read my Kindle and chill out.
Sorry you had another bad night Mary.
Good morning all from a dull, grey, chilly S Hants, not even a flake of the white stuff sadly. More football today and I must get out for a quick walk later, we too have roast chicken for dinner tonight. I need to chase up some pans I ordered a couple of weeks ago and dispose of a spider lurking on our stairs, DH is not fond! He did a little skippy jump over it going up to bed last night, I’ll pick it up and chuck it out of the window.
Thoughts with those sad, suffering and lonely x
Good morning from a dry and cold S Welsh coast.
Good news about Nancy and Dumpy Bag * sheepandcattle*.
It rained most of yesterday so I'm hoping that we will get out for some fresh air later.
FaceTime with family later, no little one though as she is with her father this weekend.
Roast pork and stuffing with lots of veg on the menu, just right for a cold day. I don't normally make a dessert but I have a lot of milk so I think I will make a rice pudding.
Good to see Susan back yesterday, I've missed you.
Thinking of all those who are struggling for whatever reason
Take care everyone.
Good Morning all , wet and windy today , but still I prefer it to the snow .
Bit of a nothing day here again ?
Good morning all from Polmont where there's a light dusting of snow on the ground but more is forecast. The sky is grey and heavy so it wouldn't surprise me. I have a Tesco delivery due soon so that'll restock the fridge and cupboards. I had been going to go to Aldi yesterday but I took a look at the wind and rain and changed my mind. Other than Tesco, I have no plans today. Housework was all done yesterday. I might nap later as I also had a disturbed night. I'd better throw some clothes on. It wouldn't do to get the shopping in my jammies. Have a good day all.
Good Morning everyone.
No snow yet in N. Bucks. I hope that as usual we miss the worst of it.
It was lovely to be able to walk with DD2 yesterday, we certainly exercised our legs and voices !
Empty diary again today so will potter around doing this and that.
Keep safe and hope you all find a ?today.
Good morning Mick morning all from South Lanarkshire, it’s 0* and very still, it may snow later.
Today will be much the same as yesterday, I’ll potter in the kitchen and make something with chicken and chorizo then crochet whilst listening to a book or the radio. An afternoon dog walk and hopefully a call from one or both of my offspring will be the sum total of the excitement chez baubles.
Have a good Sunday.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve still got snow and it’s another cold icy day
Yesterday we enjoyed a walk in the grounds of Brodie Castle. In normal times we quite often take the DGC there so it was strange and very quiet not having them with us. A video call with DS is planned for today but nothing else yet.
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care whatever the day brings ?
Good morning all and yes, no snow, here in Essex, yet! I’m wondering if my Suffolk neighbours have it as it’s going to be quite heavy there on the coast.
I cooked a gammon in the slow cooker yesterday and had it last night with mash and veg. I couldn’t slice it as it just crumbled and fell apart. I suppose it was over cooked but delicious all the same. Was going to have it today with roasties and Yorkshire’s but it doesn’t look the same when it’s shredded. Oh well!
Im Glad Dumpy Bag and Nancy have bonded. I was sad to imagine mum looking for her calf. ?.
Ashcombe your fingers must get cold playing the piano/organ. Have you got hand warmers to use in between playing?
I watched ‘penguin bloom’ . Someone on here had recommended. A sweet film.
The GC have their sledges and snowsuits at the ready. I do hope we have snow so they can have some fun. Just looked out and it’s just started. Very fine at the moment!
Wishing you all a pleasant day. Go careful on those snowboards! ??
Good morning Mick and all
The sky is heavy with snow in S E Essex I am sure it will be snowing soon!!!
Ashcombe it’s worth enquiring at the local vaccine centre/clinic about their stand-by list. DH put me on our clinics list when he had his jab, I got a call 9 days later at 5.55pm asking could I be there before 6pm, I shot out the door and made it in time!!!
Roast chicken later, nothing else planned.
Oh it’s just started snowing ❄️❄️⛄️⛄️
Good morning all from Glasgow, where it's really chilly.
I didn't have a great night, it's my own fault that I had weird dreams.
I need to stop watching You Tube videos of Chinese romantic soap operas, with extremely dodgy subtitles, which don't make sense!
I'm glad to hear you are taking it easy, Mick. Would you consider at least wearing at a visor? By regularly going to supermarkets without a mask, especially as you are vulnerable, due to your age and medical history, you are putting yourself and others at risk.
Every local authority has a helpline for people like you, which can arrange food parcels and arrange volunteers to collect prescriptions. I am happy to help you find that number. That way, you can stay safe. It is none of my business, but I make no apologies for nagging you. I, like others, would not want anything to happen to you. Understandably, it's not easy, being stuck in and not seeing anyone. ☹
Sending hugs to all who are struggling today and hoping for a side effect free experience for those going for vaccinations today. ??
Good morning all from a dark, cold east coast of Fife where it’s expected no snow will lie due to being so close to the sea. Thank goodness for having a duvet day yesterday I’m feeling so much better now and no signs of any more fainting episodes. Must do a few jigsaws today and get going on my new book which a local lass has written. I bought it off Amazon a few days ago and I’m looking forward to reading about local places in the book it’s meant to be a good thriller called my mother’s mistake have a good day everyone keep safe
Where’s that early morning cup of tea? himself has slept in for once - mustn’t grumble I’ll get it soon then I’ll need to shift myself into top gear xxxx
Good morning all. It’s cold but not freezing here in Lancashire. No rain at the moment. I’m off out for my Covid jab just now, will catch up later.
Good morning from a cold, windy Colchester where it has been snowing for half an hour. We've no need to go outside as I emptied the bins earlier. DS has to drive back to Portsmouth though.
Roast Pork and a glass of red later.
Good morning all from a perishing cold North Leicestershire. We have the bedroom window open overnight and the house hasn't recovered from the icy blasts!
Not much on today - roast pork and the papers I think and possibly video chats with various children!
Have the best day possible.
