Good morning from Malta where we are enjoying unseasonably warm weather. 23°C yesterday which was lovely.

grandMattie I went to school with Bishop Vivienne in Chester although she was a bit older than me. Her sister was in my class though.

I’ve been looking after my daughter’s new puppy all week while she’s at work. He’s so sweet and gets on well with my dog who looks like a giant next to him.

Washing the floors today and not doing much else. Had two nice outings yesterday so am happy to stick around home today.

Take care everyone.☀️

Good morning from a windy north Surrey, no snow here yet.
We enjoyed the SOAP dish last night although I think my tastebuds have not yet returned properly. Another good nights sleep as the cough is almost gone thankfully
Walked the dog to local river yesterday so he could have a paddle, he loves it, it is like watching a child having fun, running in and out, splashing and frolicking.
Nothing much on the agenda, roast chicken and jigsaw. My 4000 piece is almost at an end but the last few hundred pieces are all blue so it is taking an age to complete.
Wishing all a good Sunday

Good morning from a very windy and cold Essex by the sea but no snow yet.
I had a lovely long Zoom call with DD2 and 2 granddaughters yesterday. The 12 year old is growing fast, nearly a teenager and the 3 year old is a delight telling me what she has been doing.
No plans today apart from roast chicken later and more rugby this afternoon. England didn't shine yesterday in their match.
Enjoy your Sunday, keep warm and stay safe everyone xx

Good morning all from a chilly, damp Torbay.

Lovely news about Dumpy Bag, sheepandcattle! It is tough to miss seeing our little ones on special days, other than on screen, but I guess we must be thankful for technology enabling some kind of visual contact. What clever grandchildren, Grammaretto! I hope the weather is less severe than forecast for those expecting snow.

I'm saddened that people make vaccination appointments then fail to keep them. If only there was a way of opting for a short notice slot. Yesterday, I received the NHS letter offering me the chance to opt for various places to go for mine, the nearest being Exmouth, which must have moved as they tell me it’s 11 miles away. (Yes, as the crow flies but this old crow ain’t going!) There is an estuary to negotiate! I know from the experience of local friends that within a few days, my surgery will contact me as we have a large vaccination centre in Torquay which is the sensible option.

Early start for piano duties at church. ✝️ I need to allow time to dress in several layers for warmth!

Stay warm and well, my friends. ??☕️

Morning all from east coast supposed to be heavy snow but nothing as yet Horrible noisy night with the wind, everything banging and whooshing all night
Nothing on the agenda apart from maybe a beach walk to see if there’s any good wave photos to be had
Stay safe folks

Good Morning Mick and all GNs from a cold South Glos ... but minus the predicted "light snow", thank goodness.

Glad to hear all is well with Nancy and Dumpy Bag, Sheep.

I am having a book group discussion this morning via Zoom. I didn't enjoy the book much but ploughed through it as I felt duty bound. Learnt a bit along the way about mining in Durham and also the 18th century slave trade .... it was not a particularly cheerful read as you can tell.

Take care everyone. Special thoughts to all who are struggling or just plain fed up. x

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I hope the threatened snow doesn't come before I go for my vaccine tomorrow.
I enjoyed the family quiz last night .
The DGC are visibly growing. Dgs recited all the American presidents while his cousin reeled off the periodic table! They are 12.

I'm pleased about your cow Sheepandcattle. What a relief.
Virtual church and a walk later.
Hoping everyone has a good day.

Sheep, so glad that Nancy and Dumpy Bag are in love!
And at least today, we can participate virtually in our grandchildren’s lives. Mine used to see my parents who lived overseas about once every three or four years. Phone calls were about £1 per minute so only for biiiig events.

Good Morning Mick, Gagagran and all who follow from Severnside.

Thank for the salmon recipe LadyO. I shall make that after my next shop.
I didn’t make the SOAP for my daughter after. When I said it was pork she pulled a face and helped herself to cheese and oatcakes. I cooked it for myself later.

I hope to finish my skirt today and do some cardmaking.

Take are and stay in the warm ?

Good morning y’all from a grey E Kent. It’s supposed to be snowing but as yet hasn’t started.
I worry about DS2 who will be trying to get to work in a blizzard tonight and will work in an unheated factory for the next two nights.
Just virtual church today; Bishop Vivienne is preaching today; she “stole” DD’s slot. I hope she preaches as well, but then I’m biased.
The children loved their afternoon tea yesterday. We spent an hour watching them and chatting. It was really nice. DH even sacrificed some rugby to watch. Not the Eng/Scot match of course. DD knows better than to stop her dad seeing it!
Hope that more vaccinations are forthcoming today. SiL’s father, a retired GP, is vaccinating and says that there are loads of no shows and they scramble on the phone every night to find friend and acquaintances so as not to waste any vaccines.
Take care everyone, stay safe. ?

Good morning Mick and all. Too dark to see what the weather is doing but the forecast is for a run of cold days now.
The good news is that Nancy and her adopted calf, Dumpy Bag have fallen in love! ?. She’s now happily allowing him to suckle and has been licking him so all is well in the calving shed! We had another calf born yesterday evening so now down to the final 5 to calve. I’ve nothing particular planned for today, just the usual farm jobs of feeding and mucking out and then see what other jobs crop up.
It’s my little granddaughter’s 3rd birthday today. I’m feeling very sad that I won’t be able to see her but my son has said that he’ll FaceTime me when she’s opening the presents I sent her. I can’t believe the little darling is 3 already - I keep telling the grandchildren that they mustn’t grow up anymore until I can see them again but they won’t listen! Disobedient!!
Wishing you all a peaceful day and special thoughts to those who have received bad health news recently.

Gagagran Sun 07-Feb-21 06:29:06

Morning Mick and all who follow. Not as cold as I expected here on the south coast.4.7c so unless the temperature drops further I doubt if we shall see the forecast snow.

Taking it easy sounds like a good plan Mick and one I have been following for almost a year now as we have been sheltering. It does feel tedious now and sometimes feels as if we shall never resume normal living.

Blank agenda again today but I may sort out the cupboard under the sink and I may make some scones - didn't get round to it yesterday. Hey ho. Decisions, decisions.

Keep warm and keep safe everyone.
