I had one this week from "HRMC" or so they said when they said on a recorded message I would be arrested - oh really ?! I just hung up and reported the number on line as a scam number. I also informed elderly in laws just so they are reminded that these calls are being made. Just hang up if you are going to be arrested they are not phoning you up to informing you that you will be arrested they just come round and do it !!

I've had this one too. It's recorded otherwise I'd love to string them along.

Two days running now I’ve had a recorded message to my mobile, from the ‘central criminal investigation agency’ (I forget the exact wording) with stern warnings about my national insurance payments and threatening arrest if I don’t press 1 to speak to someone.
I hung up within seconds the first time, but carried on listening this morning, just to see what line they’d come up with.
I’ve been retired for several years now so haven’t paid NI for ages anyway.
