1969.
I bought the vinyl LP. Gave it way at some stage to the younger brother of Himself, who was delighted. Then years later, I regretted it. But. Now with modern technology I’m listening to all those great tracks. The Beatles! Wonderful encyclopaedia of music to enjoy all these years later.
The zebra crossing, with EMI Studios in the background in 196o. Apple Records creative director Kosh designed the album cover. It is the only original UK Beatles album sleeve to show neither the artist name nor the album title on its front cover, which was Kosh's idea, despite EMI claiming the record would not sell (!) without this information. He later explained that "we didn't need to write the band's name on the cover ... They were the most famous band in the world"
My favourites:
Something - George Harrison
You Never Give Me Your Money
Carry That Weight
Just loving listening to this album again.
Anyone else a fan?
