Good Morning Wednesday

Good morning to all from a grey west Kent. Doesn't sound like it's raining but haven't looked outside yet to check.
Had a busy day yesterday with lots of cooking, finished off with a lovely Zoom choir session (tuneless choir- highly recommended) . Always lifts the spirits to have a good old sing! Have a good a day as possible everyone.

No plans as usual. DH has gone fishing, so I'll potter and DS will be on his computer.

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey, damp corner of Somerset. Feeling sluggish after a disturbed night, the first for ages.

It’s grocery delivery and dust removal day here. Also need to pick up a test kit from the surgery and post a parcel. The day will be filled easily enough. Really pleased with my loft sorting yesterday, all tidy now, the real bonus is it will stay that way unlike the cupboards!

Special thoughts for Iris. Georgesgran and all finding life a struggle. Take care everyone.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a wet and windy start to the day, much milder though so I’m not complaining . I’ve not had chance to get out into the garden yet but hopefully soon.

I know what you mean about children getting a bit fed of just walks Dwmxwg my DGC feel just the same, especially my 6yr old DGD who rarely wants to go out, but once she’s out she actually enjoys it. Monopoly in the afternoon sounds a good plan though - our games always last for hours!
Nothing planned for today, maybe a short walk later and a bit of shopping. DD2 has been having a sort out and has given me some things to list on eBay, so that should fill a bit of time
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care whatever the day brings ?

When I went to get the jab last Saturday , which my doctor would have given me.
He told me will do in 2 weeks time , its the same with what I found on the patients access page as to the MOT come Diabetes appointment , with my heart condition and possible signs of better weather things will take place, that cold air got into me .
Although having had a phone conversation, with a former GM member she told me the cold air can cause effects on my condition.
Slowly recovering its a pity , I cannot have a R & R elsewhere to feel better like a short break from home , but these things with lockdown will not happen the way things are going.

I can’t believe how light it is already! There are light, broken clouds and a stiff breeze at the moment.
Our postcode on the Suffolk/Norfolk border is to receive surge testing this week as the S African variant has been found. I can’t find any more information about how this will happen, which is irritating.
Yesterday I finished the ironing ?. What shall I tackle today?

Morning all! The forecast milder weather has arrived on the south coast 11.9c at 6am but very overcast so it may well rain.

A busy agenda today for us - feels like a real treat! Our lovely cleaners will be here before 8am to do their fortnightly clean. Two sisters who do the whole house in 1 hour and have been coming to us for over 5 years now. They have just been appointed by my DD also and she is amazed at how swift professional cleaners are.

Then we have a Tesco click and collect and after that our woodburner stove is being removed. We have given up on it after all the warnings about particulates and also, being honest, the effort involved in looking after it. A clean energy replacement is already lined up. It's all part of my future-proofing of our home.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. Spring is continuing its steady approach.

Good morning all from a very wet Teddington. Going for a walk with my friend and her dog at 12 hope it's a bit better by then. Our laptop had a new hard drive so yesterday was filled with phone calls to BT and Microsoft! We're getting there, but as we're not very techie it's a bit of a slog! Hope Iris op goes well and all those with various problems and difficulties have a better day.

Good morning from north Surrey. Seems to be a nothing weather day today
I have my PT session at 8, glad the temperature is not that of last week’s session
Fun day with the boys yesterday although youngest (age 6) refused to go out for a walk, after lots of tears I gave in and we stayed at home whilst DH, dog and eldest went off. DD and I think he is just fed up with walks being the only thing on offer at the moment. He was fine once they had gone and played happily on his own whilst I made the most of time and cleaned the bathrooms. We all enjoyed a game of Monopoly in the afternoon
I have 3 days work coming up so just keeping things up to date before that

My prayers for Iris and her family today. I’m not surprised you’re having a wobble, grandMattie, keeping up a brave face for everyone. I expect your surgery will remind you about rebooking the MOT, just like we do, Mick!

Do you know which vaccine you had, Beechnut? I found the side effects struck more in the ensuing days and I was still feeling some fatigue yesterday from the AstraZeneca vaccine which I had last Thursday! Reassuringly, I believe the second dose causes fewer but I’ve heard it’s the other way round if you have the Pfizer one.

I hope there aren’t too many showers today, sheepandcattle; the idea of bootees for sheep raised a smile! Pantglas2: a woman of many parts - multi- talented!

Was up at 5.30am to watch the tennis and am looking forward to Nadal’s match later on.

Went out with DD3 yesterday which was lovely. She’s very good to me and I treasure her company.

Must crack on as I’m acting, deputy, second-in-command, trainee, apprentice grouter now that DH has finished the tiling....I also do the clearing up after he makes the mess ? and there’s a Full Monty expected from the Canteen later (that’ll be me in another hat ?‍?)

I go a lot done preparing the lambing shed yesterday- I should be able to tell my ‘ladies’ soon that they can uncross their legs! I’m expecting nearly 300 lambs over the next couple of weeks- that’s a lot of bootees to knit!?. Another rainy day expected today but mild. We did have some moments of sunshine yesterday but unfortunately I seemed to catch every shower when I set foot out of the barns! At least warm rain is nicer than cold rain ☔️ Our book keeper is coming this afternoon to do our quarterly VAT returns - ooh, the excitement of seeing another person! I must go and make some space in the office otherwise I’ll loose her under a heap of files! It’s nearly light enough now to go and check round the livestock - it’s going to be a soggy ride.

So far so good with my vaccine. I was done and dusted two minutes before my appointment time. I’ve been out in the car two days on the trot and it’s made a difference as to how I feel. A very pleasant drive to the vaccination centre and back and came back to warm slippers. I had put them upside down on the radiator.

Many worries are about so I hope you all have the best day you can. ?

Good to hear Mick you still intend having your check up. I used to be reluctant to take up medical appointments, but as I have grown older I have realised the checks they do could prolong my life, so I now go for everything offered.

I shall say a prayer for your young Iris Grandmattie ?What wonderful procedures the NHS can do to improve the lives of their patients.

I contacted the doctors yesterday, had to jump through hoops to actually speak to a human. I am all sorted now and on antibiotics for my diverticulitis.

Iris is having her second operation today. Shouldn’t be too long nor difficult. She’s due in for only a couple of nights.
Another nothing day. Too many of them, starting to feel a bit wobbly.
Seeing the podiatrist. A nice change from nothing again.
