Hello Everyone smile
Just wanted to get this in first wink

Fancy some verbal jousting; a bit of rumble; a good old punch up?

Well, you're in the right place! Enjoy!

Any ideas for potential topics please?

MissAdventure Thu 18-Feb-21 16:54:59

Well, if the cold shoulder top cap fits..

suziewoozie Thu 18-Feb-21 16:53:49

MissAdventure

I agree.
Socks are only worn by chavs.

How very dare you?

Slippers are wonderful but socks are the devil.

MissAdventure Thu 18-Feb-21 16:41:46

I'm sorry, but slippers are wonderful!
Are you making this up?!!??
I love slippers!

Barmeyoldbat Thu 18-Feb-21 16:09:58

Suziewoozie, I have pairs of Nordic socks from Norway, they are so cheerful to look at and I can't for the life of me cover them with slippers, which I hate. As for salt we are a salt free house as well, Mr Barmey has to have a low salt diet so we don't have any. But I do have a secret stash that I gathered from a salt field in Cambodia. I was a bit worried about flying home with a little bag of white stuff in my luggage but I wasn't stopped. Funny enough Mr Barmey was and asked why does he go to Cambodia every year via Amsterdam and Bangkok and his luggage was searched. I can't show a picture of my cushions because I am afraid they are dirty after our wayward teenage cat stepped on most of them after being out.

Socks maniacs!

AGAA4 Thu 18-Feb-21 15:43:24

My socks have refused to be photographed due to the prevalence of socknappers in the neighbourhood.

grandmajet Thu 18-Feb-21 15:10:49

I sometimes think the wandering socks metamorphise into wire coat hangers. They have to come from somewhere.

Doodle Thu 18-Feb-21 15:04:34

They don’t mate for life because in every pair, one is an explorer and goes off in search of new life elsewhere. The other, left behind, pushed t9 the back of the sock drawer in case its partner will one day return. ?

Doodle Thu 18-Feb-21 15:02:14

Laura more comments like that and Fanny will have you sent back to the Argy ?

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 14:41:52

Giving some thought to the psychology of socks, they can only function in pairs and yet do not mate for life.

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 14:37:19

Oh dear that came out all wrong
Suck on that Mrs Cornforth

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 14:33:19

Hurray for Casdon, back to cushions. Pressing FannyC’s buttons, suck on that Fanny ?

ixion Thu 18-Feb-21 14:24:24

Isn't it very lumpy for one's head?
Or is it the refined version of filling?

Casdon Thu 18-Feb-21 14:23:10

It really is suziewoozie - there’s an amazing range of salt related goods out there. It’s a whole new world.

suziewoozie Thu 18-Feb-21 14:17:41

Casdon

There’s unmissable crossover options here, which I’m very disappointed to have missed out on before - the Himalayan sea salt therapy cushion.

Is this for real?

grandmajet Thu 18-Feb-21 13:57:26

Is winemakers’ salt to scatter on dubious ground after testing the wine, to avoid slipping?

Ok suziewoozie I must confess I am intrigued by your winemakers salt. Being partial to a glass or two myself ?. Is that where your user name comes from

The winemakers salt is à by product of making wine ( obvs) and I scatter it on a freshly cooked steak. My name is (was) chosen because of my use of alcohol. Sadly in the last year I’ve practically stopped drinking .

GrannyGravy13 Thu 18-Feb-21 13:37:24

If it wasn’t for DH salting our drive during the snow and icy weather our postman and numerous delivery drivers would have needed skis to reach our front door thank goodness for salt!!

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 13:33:39

Archeologists will marvel at your salted entombed path in years to come Trisher

trisher Thu 18-Feb-21 13:26:50

I've got the cheapest salt I could find. When I clear snow from my path I use salt to keep it ice free

Happyme Thu 18-Feb-21 13:24:41

Salt is the work of the devil. Remember what happened to Lot's wife!!!
Be kind to snails ??? ban salt

Greeneyedgirl Thu 18-Feb-21 13:22:21

suziewoozie according to ancient Egyptians you can’t have too much salt. They used it to salt the bodies before wrapping and entombing in the pyramids. Just never know when this information may be useful ?
