Hello Everyone smile
Just wanted to get this in first wink

Fancy some verbal jousting; a bit of rumble; a good old punch up?

Well, you're in the right place! Enjoy!

Any ideas for potential topics please?

Doodle, that is blatant saltism. Totally unacceptable.

grandmajet Thu 18-Feb-21 13:03:08

Doodle

Salt free household here. No salt will enter my cupboards.

Saltist remark! Open borders for all salt I say.

Doodle Thu 18-Feb-21 13:01:51

Ok suziewoozie I must confess I am intrigued by your winemakers salt. Being partial to a glass or two myself ?. Is that where your user name comes from

Jamie is lurking in my condiments cupboard. What has he got to do with Mediterranean sea salt? Shouldn't he be promoting Essex salt?

ixion Thu 18-Feb-21 12:16:29

I think, Laura, it just depends on whether they hacked big lumps or small.

suziewoozie Thu 18-Feb-21 12:16:21

LauraNorder

That’s an impressive salt collection Suziewoozie.
Can’t argue with that.

??

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 12:15:05

Does refinement depend on nature or nurture?

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 12:14:13

I wonder, suziewoozie, if your Himalayan variety is more refined than mine?

ixion Thu 18-Feb-21 12:11:08

Keeps Sherpas going, I believe.
Mind you, I am a tad worried by its carbon footprint.
(Bit like you-know-who? and his missus??. Always draws the comments?)

I’m intrigued to know about your variety of salt Suziewoozie

Right <goes off to kitchen>

Saxa table salt (obvs)
Himalayan pink salt
Oryx desert salt
Winemakers salt
Cornish smoked sea salt
A French salt with herbs
WR coarse crystal sea salt
Fleur de sel ( from the Carmague)
Sel de Guérande

There we go

suziewoozie Battle of the Salt was quite fierce wink

My frustration boils over with socks.
- Peasblosssom - me too. Lucky suzie gets multi coloured Nordic socks. I have to put up with black with if I'm lucky an odd subtle stripe or two.

My blood boils over with them when one works its way down my wellies and ends up wrapped around my toes. Not all do it. Why do I end up with rogue socks?

grandmajet Thu 18-Feb-21 12:00:38

Definitely not Essex or Welsh salt. Cheshire is the best. Pure middle class salt.

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 11:57:39

I beg to differ GrannyGravy, even President Obama prefers Anglesey Sea Salt.

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 11:56:12

You’re right grandmajet they can hum and they do make good glove puppets but we are here to argue so I will pull up my socks and give my support to gloves. Or support hose.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 18-Feb-21 11:55:04

Only one variety of salt allowed.....Maldon Sea Salt

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 11:53:02

Don’t be mean Laura. Just because they’re humble it doesn’t mean they don’t have equal rights to be heard. After all, they can hum beautifully.

LauraNorder Thu 18-Feb-21 11:51:06

Now salt on the other hand adds flavour to food, cleanses and helps us float in the Dead Sea.

I can’t respect socks, they just get walked all over. They can be a heel when they don’t toe the line.
Their saving grace is that they have sole.

<groan>

grandmajet Thu 18-Feb-21 11:49:51

Don’t you dare come into my house with your mucky shoes on. You must display your socks!
Shoes off at the door everyone!

How I long to be cured of my sock addiction....to run barefoot and carefree. Beware those who campaign for socks, before you know it you will be wearing two pairs at once....three if your boots are big enough.
Down with socks!!!

henetha Thu 18-Feb-21 11:38:54

I'd like to find some bedsocks that actually stay on and don't disappear into the bedclothes every night.
