Hello Everyone smile
Just wanted to get this in first wink

Fancy some verbal jousting; a bit of rumble; a good old punch up?

Well, you're in the right place! Enjoy!

Any ideas for potential topics please?

Has he changed his cover?

Cushions have rights too, their desire to change shouldn't be questioned.

Just go for it, feeling totally fed up with this painful back problem and lockdown. The way I feel at the moment I would just love a dig at the NHS, I know they are saints working hard but I would just love to sound off.

Yes, you go for it girl!Just make sure that you’re holding a cushion when you do.

So FannyC - you decided to answer my and *Judy54's" question after all.

Well done.

I liked the Argy Bargy thread

*Grandmajet*, I would prefer him to be undercover but the grandchildren like him

Subjugating cushions now? Threatening to lock him away, but prepared to exploit him for the entertainment of children????

Crimes against cushions should not be tolerated in a civilised society. He has the right to be seen by all. Be loud and proud my cushion friend.

Aveline

I identify as a cushion and have done since lockdown comfort eating.

Hope that nobody sits on you Aveline?

I think cushions are the work of the devil?

Good idea for a thread FC.

Threads of course have a life of their own but I hope this doesn't turn into a fantasy/jokey one.

Some years' back Anya who sadly no longer posts, started the Argy Bargy thread with the very purpose of 'no holds barred' discussions without people getting hurt or upset. It was all in the name - Argy Bargy.

For some inexplicable reason it almost immediately turned into a 'fantasy' thread, which for the life of me I don't get!

That was about 7 years ago ......and it turned into a fun fantasy thread because 1) nobody was interested in arguments and 2) it was more interesting and posters enjoyed it.
If you don’t ‘get it’ that’s fine.

Like this cushion fight. My D refers to my beautiful cushions as 'flowery little numbers'. Very disrespectful to cushions who only want to serve.

This cushion has chosen to be addressed as he.
He is very sparkly

I’ve just got this - ?????

Ooooh PamelaJj that looks like a William Morris cover.
I love his designs.
Sorry if i am mistaken.

You are mistaken.
It's not Morris & co.

(Genuine bit of argument from the boy Cornforth, lovely stuff)

Here’s the real thing

Giggling at the toffee apple comparison!
Why are these leggings often paired with tight sleeveless vests?

LauraNorder Wed 17-Feb-21 15:16:48

Leggings are awful, they make larger ladies look like toffee apples. Coloured, psychedelic ones with large bare bellies complete with belly button ring hanging over are a fashion statement in some areas of the UK, will not say where yet, I’ll save that for when the thread needs further contentiousness.

Well the OP did ask for a punch up. Not much different from a cushion fight!

Mollygo Wed 17-Feb-21 15:05:38

Washing cushion covers often highlights the paucity of the remaining stuffing.
I would jettison the lot and buy new cushions to support the local economy, but DH won’t part with his favourites.

MrsAllboys Wed 17-Feb-21 15:02:28

This reminds me of the start of the ArgyBargy. A rather confrontational poster liked fierce and scathing posts. There was some remonstrance and then someone (can't remember who) jokingly said let's start an argy bargy thread. It was swiftly approved and everyone threw themselves whole heartedly into outrageous, hilarious, drunken misbehaviour! The original and rather contentious poster eventually slunk away disappointed.grin

LauraNorder Wed 17-Feb-21 15:00:15

Can a cushion choose his/her/its preferred pronoun
