Whose poster did you have on your bedroom wall?
1966 (aged 15), mine was The Yardbirds.

Dare I say it, I was a classical music fan, even in my teens. My best friend had a photographs of Yehudi Menuhin, the violinist on her wall.

I quite fancied Adam Faith, but not Cliff Richard, but never stuck up posters at any time.

David Cassidy, Marc Bolan

I liked Herman's Hermits, The Walker Brothers especially Scott Walker I had a real crush about him.
I didn't have any posters only a tiny picture I cut out of the paper. I remember my Mum liked Gary Glitter she thought he was good looking lol, little did we know about him.

It was always a who do you like best amongst my friends, David Cassidy or Donny Osmond. So for me David Cassidy won as I thought Donny Osmond was too Smooth ??

How did you all affix your posters? My mum had some very thin Swiss dressing making pins. I figured if they were good enough for her silks and taffeta they were good enough for the wallpaper. I could gently slide the pin into the paper with it hardly showing.
Blutak just leaves greasy marks on painted walls, and decorators curse it when they come to paint over it.

A whole wall of Beatles pictures - gathered from wherever I could get them. George was my very favourite. (We didn't have much money, but I was allowed to do what I liked with my bedroom walls, so I covered the dull & aging wallpaper. Another wall was simply a collage of assorted pictures I liked, cut from magazines.)

M0nica, I was a classical music fan in my teens, too. Why on earth not? It was a big part of my life. It’s not age-related.

Scott Walker as well for me. Saw the Walker Brothers live in 1965. Then you could stand right up against the stage. I was almost in front of him.

All my pictures came out of Jackie

adrisco Sat 20-Feb-21 18:42:25

David Essex, David Cassidy, The Osmonds. Not proper posters .. pulled out from Jackie magazine.

I think the only posters I had were of David Cassidy and Donny Osmond (torn out of Diana), but my real heart throbs, not much later, were David Essex, Pilot, then Smokie.

missingmarietta Sat 20-Feb-21 19:19:44

The Beatles [George]... and the Merseybeats, who I met a few times.
