The Great Pottery Throwdown challenge was for the potters to describe their life in pictures on six tiles.
How would show something of yourself in six pictures, words or symbols.

FindingNemo, I’m another who prefers to put on a brave face for the world outside, I find this is the best way for me up to now. I do wonder though, is it sometimes better to let the veneer drop a little to let others in when we need a bit of TLC. Sounds as though you could do with letting people in for a bit of support. flowers

Thank you LauraNorder. The hardest part is putting on a false front to the outside world.

That is sad * FindingNemo* but behind all that there must be something of beauty. flowers

I suppose I am going to put a downer on things and get shot down in flames, but we have not all been blessed.

1. Childhood - complete lie
2. Marriage - a sham
3. Work - boring
4. DD - estranged
5. Retirement - disappointing
6. Conclusion - God's waiting room

Me three, grandmajet and DanniRae! Great programme especially this week with Colin Murray on the team. Wish he would take over Countdown instead of Ann Robinson.

Foxglove77

1. Childhood wanting pony
2. Teenager still wanting pony
3. Met like minded OH, buy pony ?
4. Have children
5. Buy children ponies
6. Have granddaughter who adores ponies ?

Foxglove, that was me! Except my shared pony came in late childhood, then my own one. I adored him. No ponies for quite a while, then a move from London to the countryside led to ponies for the children, and many happy days following their pony dreams. I still love ponies.
That’s me, about three years ago.

I watched the program and have wondered what I would include if I had to do the six tiles but keep changing my mind!

A long line of cats would have to be a border. Books, writing and all kinds of crafts would also need to be shown. Not sure how I would depict travel, theatre and the arts in general. Then there' s OH, children and grandchildren.

Childhood memories creates mixed feelings and work was just a job, but retirement is mainly happy if frustrating at the moment.
