I always change our king size bedding once a week, and think there’s nothing nicer than climbing into freshly laundered sheets, I always make sure I get in first ?

Once every 2 weeks - I find it such a difficult job to do that I can't manage to do it any more. It takes me half a day just to remake the bed.

I used to do it once a week, then once a fortnight but since lockdown I don’t even remember how long the sheets have been on! I just change them when they start to smell ‘fusty’. I sleep alone and so does my son, we both shower and are never unclean so I don’t think it matters that much.

Every week!

I am clearly a slut and do not want to induce pearl-clutching so I will not say! grin

My reasoning is that there are no nights of wild passion goin on (more's the pity!), my PJs soak up any sweat (chance would be a fine thing this winter) and they are regularly washed, I am on my own so it is down to me, and too much laundry is bad for the environment.

I read that too Bossyrossy

Every two years without fail!

Super king size bed so a pain, but still once a week , sometimes more in very hot weather, or if my Psoriasis has needed a lot of ointments and creams.

Once a week or more often if the cat leaves muddy paw prints.

Bossyrossy Thu 25-Feb-21 12:54:13

I once read that Jackie Kennedy had her sheets changed twice a day, once in the morning and again after her afternoon nap.

I change the bottom sheet and pillowcases every Friday. The duvet cover gets turned over and gets changed every other week. I sleep alone so it doesn’t get dirty really. Sometimes change more often if very hot summer

Paperbackwriter

"When I win the lottery I will pay a lady to change the bedding every day."
Bit sexist there vampirequeen! When you interview your candidates for the job, I hope you'll give equal consideration to the gentleman applicants!

I'll be quite happy to have another gentleman in my bedroom grin

Roughly every 10 days, two windows open every night, so not hot and turn quilt back in the morning. I wash, husband remakes with different set.

grandtanteJE65 Thu 25-Feb-21 12:24:21

When it needs it! (Every second week) or earlier if needed.

Applegran Thu 25-Feb-21 12:21:52

Like Queen Elizabeth 1st - once a year, whether they need changing or not!

kwest Thu 25-Feb-21 12:17:52

Once a week, my husband says if we were rich he would like fresh sheets every day. So would I, but we are not rich, so once a week it is.

EllanVannin Thu 25-Feb-21 12:17:03

Weekly--daft really as there's only me but it's become a habit.

We have a kingsize Tempur adjustable bed. Each half has it's own control to adjust the head and foot separately. We therefore have a cotton jersey fitted sheet for each half. We each have a single 1tog duvet with a cotton jersey duvet cover. Over these we have a kingsize 1 tog duvet with a patterned duvet cover.
I too air the bedding before making the bed each day.
The benefits of the single duvets are that we both feel cosy without having a gap that lets in colder air, it also facilitates washing one half of 'underbedding' and putting it back on (dealing with smaller bottom sheets and single duvet covers is so much easier when making the bed). The patterned duvet cover gets changed every 2 or even sometimes 3 weeks as we never really touch that! In fact during warmer months we don't have the kingsize duvet on the bed at all! We never sleep on the patterned pillows as we each have a Tempur pillow in a cotton jersey pillowcase to sleep on.

but I truly can't believe there are people who change the bed twice a week - I am far too busy for that.

Oh please don't accuse me of lying!

It isn't a big job in the greater scheme of things

Gannygangan Thu 25-Feb-21 12:09:30

Iron everything, can’t stand crumpled sheets.

And well done, Nanna8. I'm sad to say my sheets haven't seen an iron for years

My Grandma ironed all hers. Always a job done on a Monday as well. Never really understood why!

Gannygangan Thu 25-Feb-21 12:07:33

Twice a week

I just love clean sheets

Florida12 Thu 25-Feb-21 12:06:15

Once a week.

Alioop Thu 25-Feb-21 12:03:41

Every week. Live on my own so only one bed to do, brilliant!

nanna8 Thu 25-Feb-21 11:56:02

Once a week . I hang it out to dry outside, nice and fresh. We have a retractable clothesline at the side of the house under the eaves. If it is hot I change the pillow slips every couple of days. Iron everything, can’t stand crumpled sheets.

lizzypopbottle Thu 25-Feb-21 11:55:31

I sleep alone so probably not enough but I might do it today. Without a sweaty man in my bed, or any (ahem....) 'goings on' ? it doesn't need doing as often.
