What is your favourite season of the year?

I love the spring, New life abounds.

Summer ?

Summer then Spring, Spring can often forget itself and think it's still Winter. Autumn can be beautiful but it's the herald of Winter and I hate the dreariness of Winter with its grey skies, cold winds and wetness.

Summer for me the long evenings in the garden seeing more of family and friends warm sunny days I love it all my birthday falls in June and the six weeks summer holidays are also a welcome break

I love spring. I've just had a woodpecker and a squirrel outside my kitchen window, making good use of the bird feeders. Not many small birds yet in Aberdeen. Its still a bit chilly for breeding birds here.

Summer every time!

Living in the UK, come Oct to Mar and were it possible, hibernate. I find no joy in the long hours of darkness.

Another vote for spring. Everything new and pristine and in front of you . Summer can be such a disappointment can’t it !

Late spring/early summer - especially early May. The light has a different quality then and everything looks pristine.

I love the in between seasons.

Spring for new growth and the promise of warmer days.

Autumn for snuggling up in gloves, hats, boots, scarves and the beautiful colours of nature.

Autumn is the best .the colours are wonderful.animals are gathering the harvest of fruit and nuts .farmers are gathering the crops in ..and a sense of well-being is alright with the world.as the bible saysays seedtime and harvest shall never end

Definitely spring! As a keen gardener I love seeing the new buds on everything. Then when a flower or leaf emerges it's nature's miracle.

I love Spring/Summer. Nice to sit in the garden with a nice cold glass of wine.

Spring and autumn. Spring is just in the lead I think because autumn means that winter is ahead. Spring holds such promise.

I love the winter, especially when we get frost and snow.

No gardening to bother about, plenty of time for reading, sewing or knitting, Christmas and long evenings snug and warm indoors.

Fingers crossed for Easter egg hunt with (bubble grandchildren) this year.?

I was almost in tears at missing out last year, until my lovely DD WhatsApped my grandchildren having great fun easter egg hunting in her garden.?

The football season is my fav.

Early spring. The garden is coming back to life. Yesterday I came across a new shrub which is apparently an elderflower. Dont know where it came from, but nature has her own ideas.

Winter, autumn spring and lastly summer.

Spring for me. I hate Winter when it is too cold, too wet or too slippery to walk in the woods or even in my garden. Spring so full of hope and the days getting longer inch by inch. Summer is ok so long as we don’t have a prolonged hot spell in which case I suffer health-wise. I am conflicted about Autumn; so beautiful but somehow reminds me that I am old and also shutting down bit by bit with little chance of bursting into bloom again.

Without a shadow of doubt for me it’s summer. Tennis several times a week without the thermals, being outside, being warm, bright colours.

Winter, you can wear 10 layers of clothing to keep warm, in summer there is a limit to how much you can take off to cool down without traumatising the neighbours
