It could be a Stradivarius bow or a French one. High quality ones make all the difference to the sound of a violin as you'd imagine and can cost in the 100's of thousands. Wouldn't that be marvellous ? Let us know.
I have just been looking at my late OH's 3 violins in order to decide what to do with them when I move. A friend of mine is a professional cellist and cello maker and he has just been round to take a look at them.
It seems that one of the bows might be worth £thousands!!!
He has put me in touch with a bow restorer and he says I should spend a bit on refurbing it then send to a specialist auction - he even mentioned Sothebys!!!
