Awww that’s beautiful nanaandgrampy what a lovely surprise for you yesterday. The thoughtful loving gifts from the little boys are so special! ?

Yiayia4 Thu 01-Apr-21 12:15:58

Beautiful Mia Hellogirl now over the rainbow bridge and playing with her friends?
Just had my blood tests now the anxious wait for results and rheumatologist appointment! I have a big distraction today looking after grandpuppy Boris for a few hours he’s certainly keeping me busy.
All these home made hot cross buns look tempting. We get ours from the local bakery trouble is I can always eat more than one!
Thinking of Panache and hoping she gets the help she needs this weekend.
Have a good Thursday everyone.

She was very beautiful, Hellogirl, I am so very sorry flowers

My hot cross buns are terrible, the breadmaker broke down as it started to knead the dough.
Mr C has just gone to M&S to buy some.

Morning all,

Such sad news about Mia , sending you a hug Hellogirl. Not what we had all hoped for .

I love a good hot cross bun Baggs so if you don't mind passing the plate :-) . In fact I have ordered a dozen from the bakery in the village because they are the best I have ever had ( and I think I'm a expert lol) .

I am in good spirits today . Yesterday we went to the forest for our usual walk with Sam and as I got out of the car I couldn't believe my eyes but my 2 daughters were there!! We spent the best day walking and chatting . It was the best thing that has happened in 6 months.

Because of the rule of 6 the grandchildren couldn't be there but the little boys sent me a bag of gifts. I'll add a pic. My favourite has to be the potato ( named Bob for some reason) that Cooper sent because it looked like Grampy .... Grampy was thrilled as you can imagine.

I hope everyone has a little sunshine in their day today - it makes all the difference.

GrannySomerset Wed 31-Mar-21 22:49:31

So sorry to hear about Mia. All those of us who have given our hearts to cats know how sad it is and how much she will be missed.

Puzzler61 Wed 31-Mar-21 22:33:01

Mia was indeed a beautiful girl, much loved and cared for by you. You will miss her greatly ?

brook2704 Wed 31-Mar-21 22:29:47

Beautiful photo of Mia hellogirl thank you for sharing, she’ll be sadly missed

Jaxjacky Wed 31-Mar-21 22:12:52

Beautiful Mia Hellogirl
Well, you’ll all be mightily relieved to know England won their match this evening ?? I’m wondering what Grandmafrench thinks about the light lockdown announced in France tonight, slightly different from ours. I went to sit in a friends garden this afternoon for a cup of tea, most peculiar to be sitting down, talking and no mask! More garden tea tomorrow afternoon at another friend’s, I might take a blanket, the temperature is due to start dropping. Some forecasts are showing sleet next week, even here, nearly on the south coast, brrr.
Love you and leave you, sleep well.

Charleygirl5 Wed 31-Mar-21 21:14:22

Hellogirl of course she was a beautiful lady and will be much missed for a while. I remember the antics she used to get up to re the stairlift. She is resting now.

Doodle Wed 31-Mar-21 21:00:03

Mia was lovely Hellogirl not surprised you miss her

Hellogirl1 Wed 31-Mar-21 20:57:33

I hope you don`t mind if I just take the opportunity to post one last photo of my lovely Mia.
RIP Baby girl, I love you

Hellogirl1 Wed 31-Mar-21 20:50:17

Thank you to everyone regarding our lovely Mia. My daughter 3 took us to the vets this afternoon, they are arranging cremation. I miss her so much.
Pleased your jabs x 2 went well Soop, enjoy the decorating.
Apologies for not mentioning everybody, my mind`s not functioning well enough right now to remember all that I`ve read, but rest assured, I`m TOYA

brook2704 Wed 31-Mar-21 20:12:29

Well done with those hot x buns baggs they look delish ..
43 days BA that’ll be here in no time ... ?

cornergran Wed 31-Mar-21 20:12:25

Trying to catch up, it’s been a busy Kitchen for sure. Apologies, I can’t remember it all.

I was saddened to read your news of Mia hellogirl, I’m so sorry, sending love and a a hug.

Hope you can cross the room safely now soop, these things always take oh so much longer than we anticipate.

Those hot cross buns are wonderful baggs, ours have been delivered with the groceries smile.

Another here hoping that some Easter help will materialise for panache and her husband. It’s hard to understand how it can be thought they suddenly can cope alone.

Mr C has been fitted with a heart monitor today, we’re trying to work out how he can sleep with the wires and control box. There will be a way of course. Just one of this weeks 5 medical appointments for tomorrow then no more until next Tuesday. Hooray.

Warm here today, sun was elusive though. We had a far too long walk on an almost empty beach and the first ice cream of the year. 15 minutes from home it felt like a holiday.

Take care everyone. TOYA.

ixion Wed 31-Mar-21 20:04:24

So sorry, Hellogirl to hear your sad news.
From a family of cat owners and cat lovers?

dustyangel Wed 31-Mar-21 20:02:27

I meant to say cheers to annsixty but what with the plumber arriving at 7.15 pm, I completely forgot. wine

dustyangel Wed 31-Mar-21 19:54:56

I’m full of admiration Baggs, when I used to make my own Hot Cross Buns I did them with the traditional piped crosses too. I can almost smell them from here. Not being able to eat commercial ones we have a traditional Portuguese Easter loaf instread. Not the one baked with a hard boiled egg in the middle!

Hellogirl I’m sad that your grandson has found Mia but glad that you aren’t left wondering anymore. It sounds as if she curled up in the sun close to home and went to sleep. ??

Grandmabatty Wed 31-Mar-21 19:48:28

The temperature here has plummeted. 3° only and drizzly rain. Those hot cross buns look amazing! Baggs. I had a homemade one at my friend's this morning and a bit of Simnel cake just now. I'm having a little glass of red wine. Take care all.

Urmstongran Wed 31-Mar-21 18:42:49

‘Evening All’

And we have a beautifully warm evening too! Just shared fish, chips and mushy peas for tea (nix Jaxjacky) after an afternoon spent with my stepfather having taken his groceries round. We are so very fortunate that at his age (90y next year) he is self caring and never grumbles.

I have ‘The Terror’ to watch tonight so that’s me sorted. Hope everyone on here has a peaceful night ahead. x

Doodle Wed 31-Mar-21 18:30:38

Baggs wow those are love buns ?
We had hot cross buns for lunch today as a treat. Delicious.
* BladeAnnie* 43 days, not long now ?
muse I hope you son is feeling a bit better.
TOYA ?

muse Wed 31-Mar-21 18:22:50

We seem to have done a swap with the weather today Jaxjacky. A brief glimpse of the sun then heavy cloud rest of the day yesterday. Glorious today. 23°.

Some easy digging today for 1/2 hour. No pain. I use a pad to kneel but need to take care when getting up again so I'm looking for a strong kneeling pad/support thing. Weeding the rockery will have to be done in very small doses.
Cauliflour curry and naans tonight. Shower then early to bed.

Nannytopsy Wed 31-Mar-21 18:00:35

I am very fond of hot cross buns (^she said hopefully!)^ and I bring a banana loaf to the table.
Have you chosen your colours yet soop ? We have had patches on our bedroom walls for about a year!
I am a bit cross with myself
(and himself!) that we have not done all that we wanted to during these lockdowns. Still flowerbeds to dig and rooms to paint. I must do better.
Have a good evening everyone.

Jaxjacky Wed 31-Mar-21 17:41:12

Wow Baggs for the kitchen? ?
Picked up my ready reads this morning, I thanked them profusely, it’s been great for an avid not to discerning reader like me. Nipped to knock the back door at the vape shop, still feels illicit, to swop incorrect item I bought last time and called in local supermarket to buy some very inferior hot cross buns. Rang DD who’s absolutely full of cold, school wanted her to get a full pcr test, not just the ones she’s been doing twice a week, done. After being sent home yesterday she’s now off for Easter, but sad she won’t see the littlies with their egg hunt on Friday. The sun has not shown its face all day, cloud, about 16, so much for the forecast for S Hants, maybe yesterday was it. Fish and chips tonight, still finding evening meal organising tedious, maybe because there’s not much else on. soop our new furniture is due in May, no decorating planned, I think it will have to go out/in through the patio door.
I flipping hope panache has Easter support, poorliness doesn’t know what day it is.
Sar you have so much, no excuses required.
Have a pleasant evening all.

BladeAnnie Wed 31-Mar-21 17:30:35

Good afternoon lovely people - we have enjoyed another beautiful day weather-wise. Mr BA has been having computer problems all day a so feeling a little p****d off, he's taken himself off the give the lawn its first cutting of the year grin. Hellogirl can I just say how sorry I am that Mia has crossed the rainbow bridge - RIP little one. Breaded cod fillets and salad (again!!) for dinner tonight. Mr BA informed me this morning that it's 43 days till we say "I do" smile. I've had the date engraved in my ring so I do hope I have not tempted fate?? Virtual hugs in abundance. Have a pleasant evening and stay safe

Baggs Wed 31-Mar-21 16:55:36

Slow start because the dough was reluctant to rise until I devised something above a radiator, but I think I aced the hot cross buns today ?
