Jax. Hope the forecast sticks to it's guns. Cornwall has showers on Thursday. That one of the two days out I'm planning. I need a break from the work. Next week was to be our second attempt at celebrating my 70th on Isles of Scilly. Hotel on Bryher can't open till May.

Seeds planted today: Lettuce, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Mini Sweetcorn, two varieties of toms. Read nearly 1/2 of my new book "The Silent Patient" this afternoon. Had to give my knee and hip (same side) a rest so the hammock was out. Had the book ages and really enjoying it. Got my pilates mat out on the grass in the morning for a few stretches. Need to get a decent night's sleep. Not had one for over a week now.

Topped up pizza tonight with side of coleslaw sprinkled, very generously, with toasted seeds. A few sauteed new pots for MrM. The beetroot brownies are going down fast so have just got more beetroot out of the freezer to make more tomorrow.

Thank you for messages about dear son. Perhaps he will ring tomorrow.

I`m sorry to have been absent lately, I`ve been perusing cat rescue sites, hoping to find a cat to love. It wouldn`t be replacing Mia, but following on after her, the way that Mia followed Pepper several years ago. I found 2 beautiful ginger cats, a boy and a girl, who needed rehoming together, I applied for them, only to be in formed that they had gone a while ago, the website hadn`t been updated. My search goes on.
I received my 2nd jab on Tuesday, luckily, once again, no side effects.
I haven`t read back very far, so TOYA x

Dear soop - you've made me sad after I've had such a lovely day. Spend every moment just lying low and don't do anything to expend any energy until you recover. I can remember having Pylonephritis when I was young. The pain in my abdomen was awful and I was so nauseous and sick. Let's hope that it's not your kiddlies that are being affected, but if they are at least you're already on it with some medical intervention and I'm sure you'll make the best recovery....just as long as you're a good girl and let Mr Soop do all the heavy work (including catering for that little cat!). Big hugs to you and well wishes from the South.

We shall be off out for a picnic tea tomorrow. Our best excuse (which will be recorded on a piece of paper for any roaming Police to see) is that DH is having his 1st Vaccination. Only 2 hours away this time. Again we are so fed up with waiting for any vaccine around here, that we are going to combine a permitted journey of much more than our allowed 6 miles and make the most of the change of scene.

Wonderful weather here today. Always know when we can hear neighbourhood pool splashing going on. Have to say that these would be heated pools - not like ours. The water will have to be a whole lot warmer before we start swimming this year!

Read a post from dear long-suffering Panache that her lovely man is getting weaker and she has spent some time writing letters of complaint, letting the various agencies know how very let down they have been in their time of need. In addition it seems that she has been very unwell and that also she is going to lose a finger. How much more can one soul take? My heart goes out to them both, but then they know how much we all care.

Glad life was fun, Jax. I'm sure your food cupboards will recover from the onslaught. Let us know if you want food parcels next time! So sad for your nice neighbour, GrandmaB - and sad that you will lose that contact. We all need good people in our lives. Disappointed for you Maw but you don't need your first days with Maisie ? marred by her illness and you being worried and stressed! This needs to go well from the start. Hope she'll pick up very quickly, join you, and there'll be only lots of happy days with no worries about her health.

The GC’s were a delight, boy do they eat! The photo is second breakfast after two blueberry muffins each. They found some chalk, so played 0’s and X’s on the patio, watched Mr J make concrete to fix four slabs to the rear of the shed and hunted for ‘treasure’ in the rear, dug over bed. DD was very grateful to us, both grandchildren said they were storing hugs for when they were allowed and had loved staying ❤️
We took my now usurped mini greenhouse up to the allotments to give to our friend and I watered, again. My treat of the week Saturday paper forecasts rain Tue/Wed and Thursday, there has only been an average of 12.8mm thus far in April as opposed to the normal 72.53mm.
Sausage mash and beans tonight, although we’ve had wall to
wall sunshine today, the wind has been keen.

I still feel very out of sorts. Awful pelvic pain. GP is arranging a CT scan of the pelvis. The drop-bot is as bad as it ever was. I'm a bit of a mess, right now.

I have no wish to bang on about my woes. You all have some problem or other to contend with. Many so much worse than my buggeration.

Message from Maw to say 5y old Maisie dog isn’t joining her just yet. The kennels called the vet & she is on antibiotics. Hopefully just a pause (paws?) in the plans.

The dog is unwell and will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Please forget about it.

My lovely next door neighbour won't be coming home as he hasn't regained any power on his left side after a bad stroke and needs too much care. I'm sad because he is a gentleman and was kind to me when I moved in. I'm also feeling trepidation as there will be a new neighbour at some point. Oh well, maybe George Clooney will move in. ☺️

Just a quick visit for now but I noticed Puzzler’s post about Maw . So, so pleased that Maw is getting a new friend. Some lucky pooch will benefit from her loving care.
