Are there any people that work a night shift here? I work a rotating 3 shift pattern and always find nights the hardest.
Is it just me?

I worked afternoon shift most of the winter, from 16:00 to 01:00 and admit I really liked it. All my life I have worked day shift so was reluctant to change, but it was a higher rate of pay so I signed up for it. In my job I can apply quarterly for my choice of shift.

I found I got quite a bit done, and had more opportunity to exercise during the day, going to work just as darkness was falling. I wasn't tired at all.

I just started back to day shift at the beginning of April, and while it is nice to have dinner with DH, I have to push myself to not flop on the couch after dinner!

Very rarely over the years have I had to work the 'graveyard' shift, from 0100 to 0800. I think managing your eating and sleep patterns is important to maintain health and mental alertness.

I would imagine that 16:00 to 01:00 is more favourable than the current shift I work which is 22:00 to 06:00.
In the Summer time I use a blackout blind to keep out the sunlight.
