How would you describe people who can find no positive attributes at all in a man who had a troubled childhood and is trying his best to get on with life? Who is doing something that they find reprehensible and so spend day after day bad mouthing him?

I think "Harry haters", is quite mild actually.

Harry "critics" mybe, or even Harry "detractors."
"Haters" is a horrible word because it implies malice.
If anyone can come up with a post where I have called anyone toxic ot a wet wipe, I'll be on my bike (in my shorts).

I think ‘Harry haters’ is quite rude actually. It’s a discussion, people have different opinions. Since we have free speech in the UK, we have to tolerate the opinions of others whether we like them or not.

I don’t understand why people feel so strongly about someone they don’t know. I have my own opinions but I’ve never called Meghan toxic or Harry a wet wipe. Nor do I call people Harry haters. I can express an opinion without recourse to such terms.

I’m not sure why some posters get so upset about discussion or opinions of people they don’t know, but then, it’s a free world.

I find it pathetic, or rather extremely nasty, that some posters refer to others as ‘Harry haters.’ Name calling is not a nice, or adult way to behave. I’m not policing the thread, I’m calling out rude behaviour. This is a discussion site, and posters can discuss any subject they wish to discuss.

I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong but I don't recall Prince Charles suing the press because a photograph was taken of him and his children out together.

We have no idea whether the said children received cuddles and support from their grandparents. I rather think they did, certainly support.

And Diana and her mother had a blazing row about her behaviour in the summer before her death, and her mother used far stronger terms to describe her behaviour than has been seen on here.

Isn't it pathetic the lengths people will go to to prove I'm wrong. Equating the clothes worn by men going to work on bikes in the 1950s with clothes worn by one very rich privileged person in the1980s when on holiday in the Scilly Isles. Even my dad in the 1950s discarded his jacket and tie on holiday. Although I fully admit he is pictured in a white shirt (open collar) and long trousers. I even remember the first beach holiday when he and my mum both wore shorts for the first time in 1957. My mum only bought some because she saw other women in them.

Well, yes one person in particular cares a great deal as she’s making quite a futile attempt to prove that’s right. Smacks of desperation. As Michael Winner in the old ad used to say “calm down dear, it’s only a.........”

Oh Alegrias1 so do I. Can no one see that having this life where he was expected to smile for the camera when there was a press shoot, was chased by photographers and heard his parents anger and distress sometimes, suffered the disagreements and acrimony of his parents in private, and had to bow to his grandmother, might actully have caused very real damage.Most people have grandparents who give them a cuddle and support when they need it because their parents are dysfunctional. Does anyone really think Harry got that?

Well this is my point, really. Harry makes a point about not being free enough in his life as a child to have a lovely bike ride with his dad, having fun, feeling free. And the press dig up a random picture of Harry on his dad's bike and the Harry haters start with "Ohh look, you're on a bike, you're telling lies."

I find it pathetic, sorry.

I thought that that photograph was taken by some paparazzi, hence the glum looks as they cycle past.

Charles wasn't a fan of press intrusion. Remember what he said about Nicholas Witchell?

Honestly that could be said of any family group captured at at some random moment in time. Whilst it's true some pictures tell a story, such as the famous one of Charles and Diana in front of the Taj Mahal, but honestly sulking kids? if that's what Harry is doing in this picture, well they are to be found everywhere!
