I was so saddened by the interview with harry and megan , why would two people who have got exactly what they wanted are happy to create such pain for others

At least Harry and Meghan aren't living on state handouts

Not are the Queen or Prince Charles.

tickingbird fortunately you don't get to choose who can post on which threads

Lazy response but when you have no answer I suppose it’s better than nothing.

^Harry moaning about never being on the back of a bike with his dad.^

Why on earth lie about something as irrelevant as that?
Possibly because at 6 years old he felt far too old to be on the back of anybody's bike and chose to forget it. I can imagine what my sons would have said if anyone had asked them to ride in a child's seat at that age. Why on earth didn't he have his own bike??

Maybe he couldn't ride a bike. Lots of 6 year olds can't.

He probably did have a bike, William obviously did.

I don't think the bike comment initially had anything to do with Charles in Harry's mind. He was talking about the covid situation .......
Harry: "This year has been crazy for everybody. But to have outdoor space where I can go for walks with Archie, and we can go for walks as a family and with the dogs, and we can go on hikes — we’ll go down to the beach, which is so close — all of these things are just . . . I guess, the highlight for me is sticking him on the back of the bicycle in his little baby seat and taking him on these bike rides."
If he had stopped talking there all would have been fine. Unfortunately he was silly to add:
"which is something I was never able to do when I was young" which has caused all kinds of speculation.

All those Sandringham (only 60), Highgrove (900) and Balmoral (50,000) acres to roam; some children don't even have a back yard.

He really is his own worst enemy.

Jabberwok Tue 25-May-21 16:36:21

There are photographs of them riding bikes at Sandringham not just on holiday, with Harry in a baby seat on the back of Prince Charles bike. Quite a few bicycling photos have come to light, so why Harry said what he did, goodness only knows, but like the phoney wedding it made him a few bob I guess!

Elegran Tue 25-May-21 16:35:47

Though Harry does reckon that his father should be bankrolling him.

They are though!

Without the Prince/Duke/Duchess nobody would pay them a penny.

Yes but the UK not supporting them anymore

OK, trisher

You've got me now

What does being 6 have to do with anything?

Harry made a comment about being unable to get on a bike with his father. He was pointing out that he loved taking Archie on the back of the bike.

There are plenty of photos of a 2/3 year old doing exactly what Harry said he never did.

There are also many photos of him on his own bike.

I honestly don't understand your comment at all

He was 6 when the much publicised photo was taken, where was his bike then?. As for the other two you have to laugh. Charles in a kilt towing a cart with a fed up looking Harry. Charles in a shirt, jacket and tie relaxing on his Scilly isles holiday. Indications of exactly how much he rode that bike I think. Besides there is the world of difference between taking a 1 year old out and a 4 year old. And the world of difference between doing it for a photo shoot and actually enjoying it.

My DGD aged 8 goes to school in her mum's cargo bike. But then they are in trendy East London!
I think Harry might have been referring more to the great outdoors and good weather in the States.

tickingbird Tue 25-May-21 15:52:56

Trisher I’m not confused. You and others aren’t debating anything - you’re trashing the RF. Fine if that’s what you enjoy doing but why don’t you try leaving others to their discussions regarding H & M without dragging your dislike of the Monarchy into everything. Why don’t you start a thread on the RF, republicanism and what a sorry, dissolute lot they are? You and your fellow republicans can then carp and criticise to your heart’s content. I don’t think you’d enjoy that though would you? Far better to continually jump on threads that others are enjoying and drive the less robust posters away. Well done ?

She showed symptoms of BPD,

FannyCornforth Tue 25-May-21 14:36:03

It was Susie Orbach, Diana's therapist, who suggested that Diana had BPD.
A psychological problem should not be used as an insult, as Soames, the grandson of a notorious depressive, should know.

Iam64 Tue 25-May-21 14:27:18

Nicholas Soames was incredibly offensive about Diana. He suggested she had BPD, well known psychiatrist that he isn’t.

Ellianne Tue 25-May-21 14:24:58

I'm sure Harry has arguments with Meghan too. In fact he told Oprah that after one such explosive argument it was Meghan who suggested he needed therapy because he was behaving like a 12 year old. I assume she was referring back to the time it all went wrong?

FannyCornforth Tue 25-May-21 14:21:26

I see that you are quoting The Express lemsip
The unnamed correspondent also went onto say much more positive things about their relationship, including that it was true love.

lemsip Tue 25-May-21 14:17:17

CHELSY DAVY and her ex-boyfriend Prince Harry endured a "volatile relationship" that included "real shouting matches", a royal correspondent claimed.
Harry and Chelsy met in 2004 and dated for seven years until their relationship ended on amicable terms in 2011.

I posted a map. wink

Its nowhere near Hollywood.

In this case geography isnt pertinent to the discussion.
Perception is.
IMV still semantics!?

FannyCornforth Tue 25-May-21 13:26:56

I think that Harry really does have mental health problems, just not the ones that he thinks.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has Borderline Personality Disorder, as his mother is believed to.

Ellianne Tue 25-May-21 13:25:47

Sorry folks, it was my mistake about 5 hours ago to call it Hollywood. Perhaps I should have said Tinseltown or Celebrity Central to make it clear that I was talking about the Hollywood lifestyle they have chosen to adopt. Nothing to do with the geography.
Actually M & H employ a Hollywood PR company, a Hollywood photographer and seem to gravitate to LA for filming.

Gannygangan Tue 25-May-21 13:16:44

To be fair, H&M are in the news on an almost daily basis.

People are bound to talk about them.

The recollections may differ is very true.

I don't have much interest in them. I would have been thrilled had they left to have that wonderful private life they claimed to have wanted but that wasn't the truth.

We've seen more of Harry this past few months than we have in the last 20 years.

If people want to start threads about them, that's fine by me. Anyone can start a thread about whatever they want.

It's a bit like the political threads. It's like Groundhog Day in there.

But it doesn't matter.

I think what fascinates is how H&M appear to be able to have their truth, rather than the actual truth.

Harry moaning about never being on the back of a bike with his dad.

Why on earth lie about something as irrelevant as that?
