My opinion on this couple - Megan is causing Harry’s suffering.
He said - he didn’t know he held the anger until Megan told him.
Megan’s interviews, she has repeated claims made by Diana,
‘No one asked if I was ok’, ‘no one would help me’ .
Harry feared for Megan’s life because things were going the same way as they did with his mother, who was hounded because she was with a man of colour , no mention that she had a two year relationship with Hasnet Khan and there was no hounding .
Diana was damaged but this doesn’t mean her lies can’t be spoken of.

(1001 Posts)I was so saddened by the interview with harry and megan , why would two people who have got exactly what they wanted are happy to create such pain for others
Agree Annie and Fanny.
I don't think that Harry and Meghan are doing mental health awareness, or indeed people with mental health issues (ie most folk) any favours at all.
Yes everyone should have their views and share them, views on
the topic being discussed not views on posters such as ‘they may have a conscience’
Alegrias - if you want to say the Queen is a doddery old woman who shouldn’t be in charge of the Monarchy anymore you can. Incidentally, she isn’t in charge, she’s the head, more figurehead if you will. The Crown is an establishment run from behind the scenes but that’s a different matter entirely which I’m not getting into. However, I wouldn’t keep coming on threads dedicated to others discussing the Queen in her doddery old age and continually telling others they shouldn’t be so unkind, cruel.....blah, blah.
There are so many of these threads, basically because the couple themselves are continually holding forth on various subjects and keep themselves in the spotlight, even though they crave (supposedly) privacy.
Harry now seems to be a mental health expert or thinks he is. They’ve said some things which contradict other things they’ve said and they trash our Royal Family. They are out there saying these things on camera in front of a worldwide audience, knowing the Queen, Prince Charles et al can’t defend themselves. If they in turn get trashed on here I’d think that’s the least of their worries.
Personally, I reserve my concern for an elderly lady who’s recently lost her much loved husband and is still going about her duties with dignity whilst having to listen to her grandson pontificating to the world about how hard done to he is.
No, I agree, I don't think it would be acceptable if it was said about anyone. Maybe even worse for men because of the high suicide rate among young men.

Well matched aren't they?she rejects her family now he is doing the same .
I don’t always agree with Alegrias, but sometimes I do, and on this occasion I think she’s right. She said people should post their views, whatever they are, and so they should, if they feel they want to.
Algerias Thank you for your explanation which I can understand although I neither believed or disbelieved the reality of the suicide claim but I can see it could be interpreted that way. GN did not, however refer to mental health issues just an attack on another woman which is not quite the same. Is it ok if the same is said but refers to a man? From your explanation and IMO it should not.

Algeria’s the reason they gave for deleting my post was that I had made a personal attack on another woman aka mm. I am not happy with that as a reason as I don’t think it’s true but have no choice but to accept it. That aside I do wonder however why other posts that could also be interpreted that way are not also deleted. Just saying.
Right then, I'll tread carefully here....
Posts saying that a public figure could have been pretending to be suicidal to further their own aims, are crossing a line. We can all say that we think a person is false, that they are making stuff up, whatever. But once we set a precedent for not believing people who say they are feeling suicidal then we are allowing an environment where people's MH issues can be dismissed. And that is not acceptable any more.
There does seem to be a belief that they are fair game for any kind of comment, and that anybody who objects to the negative things that are said about them are "Harry supporters", Well here's a revelation; I think they are on TV too much too. I have no interest in what H thinks of the rest of his family. So I don't watch and I don't read the articles. But I don't come on internet forums and complain about them them either. Its entirely up to anybody else if they do want to do that. And its entirely up to me if I want to remind them that they are attacking real people, not cartoon or soap opera characters.

Interesting that this post, that some objected to so rudely, has now run to 23 pages!
23 pages and not one single comment from earnshaw, the person who started the thread.

Well its their site. If something is reported and GNHQ think it shouldn't have been posted, they'll delete it. And all the following posts that refer to it, if they can find them.
Them's the rules.
But Algeria’s this is what GN are doing.
Well report me then.
Then who is closing down debate?
BTW, it was hypothetical, as shown by the use of the word "might".

You're right Kamiso and it has only really degenerated in the last two pages.
That's fine. I feel like whatever I might say on here will be viewed as vilifying or assassinating H & M so I have moved my interest to the other H& M thread where so far, so good. Simples.
Algeria’s your post should be deleted as you have made a personal attack on another woman aka the Queen. The same goes for any post saying Meghan is toxic. This is what GN are deleting posts for as mine was.

I'd a strange unconscious interpretation of Alegrias' post. I read the first sentence as "I hope everyone keeps right on posting with their little views." Does that mean it looked like the view from the moral high ground?
Well since that's not what I wrote, it says more about you than me, I think.
Since I went to to defend everyone posting their own opinions, and how words can be hurtful, I guess people will interpret my post as they see fit.
One of the reasons M&H left this country because they didn't like the way the press was treating them. We can agree or disagree with what they did, that's up to them.
But anyone can see that the proliferation of online posts and articles about being toxic, about not really having MH issues, about gaslighting and self interest, are all contributing to the ongoing hostile environment for M&H (to coin a phrase
). Is it OK to be critical of somebody just if they're not likely to be reading this thread?
I might form an opinion that the Queen is a doddery old lady who shouldn't be in charge of the monarchy any more. I'm entitled to say it if that's what I think. And you're entitled to disagree. You can tell me I'm completely wrong and that I should be ashamed of myself. I won't get all defensive and say you're trying to shut me down.

When I ran a gynae Cancer group many of the members were only told about the group in the latter stages, The consultants didn’t like the fact that once patients started talking to each other they then queried why different treatments were being given and one or two even asked to change doctors.
Because of this I attended a lot of funerals and most had young children taking part, some quite actively. Not something that happened much in earlier years. At one time women were not expected to attend either.
When I was about 13 my cousin died very suddenly at 29. My younger brothers served at the mass but, given the opportunity, I opted out. I then spent months looking out for tall red-headed men, even calling out to one and following him down the road. Perhaps if I had attended his funeral I would have been better prepared?
Philip asked the boys if they wanted to walk and said he would walk with them, which they accepted. It was an unprecedented occasion and very easy to criticise after the event. With Meghan’s manipulation he would probably be bemoaning the fact that he didn’t walk behind the coffin if a different decision had been made.
Now he is criticising the American constitution! That is not going down at all well!!

I hope everyone keeps right on posting with their views. It seems to me that there is a sense of seeing ones own life's troubles in the troubles of other, more famous people. I don't pretend to understand how that works but I can see that it could be effective way of discussing our own problems in the context of that famous person.
But then there are people who descend into character assassination and criticism based only on their opinions and they are probably just wrong. They create an atmosphere where anyone not behaving in the accepted way is vilified. (stiff upper lip, quiet obedient wife, whatever, it could be anything).
"Not doing any harm." Aye, right.
So, you keep posting your opinions, and I'll keep posting mine.
Of course their conscience may have been pricked but that isn't the same thing at all.
Do you mean character assassination like insinuating people have something on their conscience?
I'm wondering if there is anyone on here who was in a position to have anything on their conscience about this whole tragic situation.
Alegrias Not doing any harm." Aye, right No they aren’t doing any harm. At least they aren’t calling other posters obdurate or being condescending and patronising.
Lucca Meghan is toxic. So that’s just being interested? So what? If someone has formed that opinion they have a right to say so. They don’t know, anymore than you do.
I find it very strange that members of this group take it upon themselves to moderate these threads and police others’ comments. It’s not even discussion of the topic, it’s trying to shut down what other members have to say.
