I was so saddened by the interview with harry and megan , why would two people who have got exactly what they wanted are happy to create such pain for others

Anniebach Sun 16-May-21 21:31:05

If one believes their upbringing has affected them when they are adults and seek therapy , the point of therapy is for the person to find peace and perhaps understanding, not seeking
revenge

I only read these threads to read the funny/sarcastic answers.
Some are really good.

Ditto! grin

I was trying to be so sensible but there's no point really!

Loved the John and Yoko analogy lemongrove

I can see that for Harry there is a lot of stuff in his life and his father's life that would seem to fit in with that philosophy and of course talking about it is part of making the journey.

Yes, but usually with a psychologist or psychiatrist and in the strictest confidence, not broadcast to the world..

I don't understand how or why inflicting pain on others helps anyone on their journey to self-understanding and becoming a better, more empathetic, fulfilled person as a result.

That is a generalisation, btw and would apply to anyone who lashed out publicly about their family who may have made mistakes (who doesn't) but who still love them.

H&M sound like a clothes shop

I said that too.

Haz and Megs? Or are we not allowed to use their pet names?

If only Harry would pull out the knife in the back instead of keeping on turning it, then there would be no more publicity (phew!) and no more threads about them!

Could someone send him a pm/email/State document requesting ordering the above, please?

If criticising the Sussex’s is considered ‘slagging off’ then criticising posters is considered ‘slagging off’,

Harry and Meghan - 106 posts in 8 hours and climbing
And the discussion was all pretty amicable up to 100 posts when you started posting Alegrias. Only then did it degenerate into criticism and accusations of "slagging off".

P&G were unethical back in the 90s when they tested on animals etc

Greeneyedgirl Sun 16-May-21 20:21:26

It’s not as exciting as the Eurovision Song Contest tho is it Alegrias. You CAN get out more from tomorrow grin

Buffybee Sun 16-May-21 20:19:14

Love it when the “thread police” try to control what we can and can’t discuss.
Won’t work you know!!!grin

lemongrove Sun 16-May-21 20:16:40

Buffybee Sun 16-May-21 20:10:32

Buffybee Sun 16-May-21 20:07:44

“Indian Variant” top of threads, as we speak grin

Alegrias1 Sun 16-May-21 20:06:39

Anniebach

One can have many interests

World affairs, coping with the pandemic, slagging off people you don't know....

Buffybee Sun 16-May-21 20:03:25

Alegrias1

Yes, but they're not the top ones, as Buffybee pointed out. Shows where GN interests lie, I'd say.

The “Indian Variant” thread was started 3 days ago and the “Israel out of control” has been at the top of the threads for most of the day also.
I think the interests on Gransnet are varied and interest in threads fluctuate over the day.
