I had a Steve who was a complete and utter waste, married him at 19 divorced him at 22, good riddance ?

Pleased to say never had one, thankfully. Probably because I met DH when I was 17, and never looked back.

A previous boyfriend, who I went out with for a year before that, nice enough chap but just not ‘the one’. Only realised after I met DH what love really was.

There was a man who was the 'life and soul' when in company but was surly when the party's over. I had a lucky escape.

Another was a right old moaner who begrudged other people's good fortune - it's very unattractive, isn't it?

My ex husband I was very naive and believed everything he told me. He was very controlling and turned abusive while living a double life.
I cannot regret it because I have my DS and DD who are both wonderful. They bare no resemblance to him in any respect.

I was completely besotted with a lad at college. We went out for a term as I didn't want to believe he was on the rebound. I found out the hard way when he dumped me. I realise now how utterly shallow he was.

The ex for whom, for a special birthday, I bought a trip overseas to a big sporting event he had always wanted to attend.
Come my special birthday, I waited patiently for my surprise. Late afternoon we were in a bookshop. He asked for my purse and I handed it to him. He picked a book, not my type of book, from a shelf, paid for it, handed me back my purse. Then he handed me the paper bag containing the book and said Happy Birthday.
That was it, my special birthday present.
Not long after, he was very definitely an ex!

I unfortunately hooked up with a colleague many years ago. He regularly came to HQ but lived many miles away. I used to visit after work on a Friday, arriving very weary.
Was always surprised that there was never any shopping done to top up the fridge or food prepared after my long journey. Only food available was 'in the freezer!"
Next morning, I used to go out on the Friday or Saturday, depending on my shifts & fill up his fridge so we had stuff in for the weekend. He was so tight that in the end I'd had enough & dumped him.
Following that was a chap addicted to (adult) porn. All hours of day & night. Dumped him PDQ because it wasn't healthy for our relationship.
