Have a look at Helen Johnson’ s new work at Brixton if you live nearby. We can only see a print out of it here but it looks good. She is my ‘baby’, youngest daughter. She worked so hard on it so I hope everyone likes it !

That used to be my nearest tube station at one point. The artwork is a great improvement and there should be more such works IMO. It's difficult to see the picture from a small photo but from the description it looks interesting.

Sadly there are likely to be some people complaining about the use of money for art rather than more deserving subjects.

I personally think that the more art we see the better for all of us.

Congratulations nana8 your daughter is very talented. To be invited to put her work in a public place is indeed an honour.

I love Australian and Aboriginal art.
I had a lovely print from an antique shop in Manly and it went " missing " when I moved, thieving *&%$oles.

Another Banksy ? Well done to your daughter.

As others have said you have a very talented daughter nanna8. What an achievement to have your art displayed where it can be enjoyed and appreciated by large numbers of people.

That’s really lovely, you must all be so pleased. It looks very cheery and underground stations are not the prettiest of places.

What a fantastic painting, I love the colours and the gardening theme.
You should be extremely proud of your youngest.

Well done to your daughter. In my opinion, the more art there is around, the better. People need art.

It’s so multi-layered and symbolic. I love it. You must be such a proud mum.

Thanks for your lovely comments. She has been painting since she was 3 . A long, hard road to get to where she is now. I kind of thought she might be talented that way when she produced a perfect picture of a tiger when she was aged about 10, without copying it from a picture! We were gob smacked at the time .

That’s lovely - I’ll certainly have a look at that one. It’s great that TfL use the stations for displaying artwork. I have an artist daughter and know how proud we are of their talents.

Thanks for sharing, N8. I'll certainly seek it out next time I'm in the area.
