Good Morning Friday

Good morning from an overcast north Surrey. No sun forecast but warmer temperatures.
Yesterday was glorious weather for a visit to the arboretum. We found a fantastic treehouse/climbing apparatus for DGD1 to play on and as it was a school day he had it all to himself. It is a beautiful area with lots of hills and a large variety of trees and a lake. Unfortunately I have turned my ankle on some uneven ground, as others on the thread I seem to have developed a weakness after spraining it 2 years ago. I managed to keep going but once I sat down yesterday evening and then tried to get up it was painful to walk. I shall potter today with paracetamol on board and see how I manage.
I have nursery collection this afternoon for DGD1 which is a short walk so should be ok. I am also on standby to visit mum and dad and collect their medication as sister has been full of cold.
DH plans to plant out his runner beans at the allotment today and he has the big shop to do, our cupboards are bare.
Thoughts to all those with illness, Susan I hope your SIL has success with his GP and Cherry the seizures have lessened, and Marydoll that you are feeling a bit better today.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s a little cloudy at the moment and it’s been a warm night. I woke a few times.

Lovely to see those blue skies again (in your photos Ash and here). I had a lovely sit in the sun yesterday morning just looking around me. Later I got on and did some power washing. Although it’s to clean I also made a mess ?

Grocery shopping later and I’m going to see if I can buy a parasol locally.

Ash, yep the tree could be plane, look at the bark. If it is smooth and looks like camouflage fabric, in shades of beige and grey, it is plane. It could also be beech.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny (but for how long?) Lueneburg. We have been promised hot weather from tomorrow. So nice to see the sea Ashcombe. Urms , we also loved to be in Spain - just us, and no clutter. Outdoor all day and lovely wine and food. I hope all the missing posters are well or getting better. I have to go shopping for food. DIL is coming with partner and granddaughter tomorrow. On Sunday I am meeting 3 of my friends in the afternoon. It`s so pleasing to actually spend some time with family and friends. Of course, the garden is waiting, all the daily rain as encouraged the weeds to sprout.

Off to the South of the county to take DD3 for a hospital appointment and leave DH playing with the Wondrous Wolfie. Our cleaner will be here this morning and the window cleaner is coming. We won't recognise the place when we get home.

DH wants to look at a car on the way home!

This quotation is from a Torbay Council document about the area:-

This suggests it could be a plane tree as it's close to the church.

Good morning from the NE where it was foggy at 4am but clear now.
Been awake since 2.30, apparently I was having nightmares and was screaming, DH heard me from across the landing and was shouting to try and wake me, he thought I would be disturbing the neighbours.
Nurse called yesterday and said she didn't think DH's pain relief was adequate and was contacting GP, she would also contact dietician for help with nutrition.
School holiday starts today, hopefully get to see the GC in the next few days.

An early good morning everyone from me too here in sunny south Manchester. I’ve had 8 hours sleep so I’m bright eyed and bushy tailed. Himself is still snoozing.

I’m off for a stroll with coffees after lunch with my walking buddy. Our little family group up the road are off straight after school to stay in an hotel they love in Lytham for 2 nights. A nice start to the fortnight’s school holiday here for half term. I think it used to be known as Whit week when we were kids? Anyway there’s an indoor swimming pool (family pre-booked slots) and tomorrow early evening a children’s disco. Fun for all.

We’ve been invited to drive over on Sunday after they’ve checked out. The plan is to be on the beach, donkey rides for the children & fish and chips for us all. I mentioned the invite to my stepfather yesterday and he declined saying at nearly 90y he’s not up to building sand castles. So I’ve invited him here tomorrow for a Saturday lunch so he doesn’t miss out this weekend. I think I’m what’s known as the ‘sandwich’ generation - pleasing upper and lower echelons in our family group. No wonder I love the freedom of Malaga to re-charge now and again with no calls on our time. Ooh, I’m selfish!

Lovely photos Ashcombe bet you’re glad to be back down sarf with the blue skies and warmer weather! That why we love Spain. We certainly don’t stay in Manchester for the weather - it’s family & friends when we’re here!

Enough wittering from me. Kettle’s boiled for my tea and a train has just left the station. Another day begins ....

Pleasant morning in Northumberland, cloudy but the sun is trying to break through.
I've been awake since 4:30, so at 6:00 I decided to get up. Surprised DH who was getting ready for his early morning job.
Today is just the usual odd bits of housework. I may go for a walk later. Have a good day all.

I’m ashamed to admit I don’t know, grandMattie, although I pass it regularly when I walk along the road on the other side of the park. I’ll take a closer look at the leaves next time! We have many very old trees around this area.

Yesterday started with a phone call from DD to say our son in law had collapsed at work and been taken to hospital.He came home yesterday evening with no diagnosis and no follow up, he is in a lot of pain so they will phone the GP this morning.

Another Henry day today.Yesterday after school we took the children to the park to a party for one of DGD’s classmates.It was the first time we have taken H into a social situation with food but he was such a good boy and just ate what we had taken for him.He zoomed in on a piece of cake someone had dropped but DH got there first so a successful outing with no allergic reactions?

Hoping Cherry had another peaceful night and that the kitchen is now finished??

Thinking of Mary, Auntieflo,Grandmajet and all who are unwell and also all with worries and all our missing goodmorningers.

Morning all from a much cloudier south coast. It is 10.6c on my weather station and will warm up as the day wears on.
We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny and warm day yesterday and the forecast is for more of the same after today.

We finally got the copious daffodil foliage removed from the front garden but the border is looking rather empty so I may have a trip to the garden centre to see what I can find.

Hope the day is a good one for us all.

Good morning, you early birds, Mick and grandMattie! A dull start in Torbay due to overcast skies.

Yesterday was beautiful! Unbroken sunshine from a blue sky which seemed to lift everyone's spirits as I took my walk across the Downs. The first photo shows the view from my bedroom window yesterday. As you can see, we have only one cruise ship left in the bay now.

It was good to see the various eateries doing brisk business with many enjoying an al fresco lunch. I was tempted to join them but couldn’t as I was on call to collect a friend from hospital, as I continue to be today.

I hope all your problems are little ones and you find a reason to smile today. ?
