Our anniversary is a week after the birthday of two of our children, so difficult to forget. It was our 45th on Saturday! I am recovering from a partial knee replacement but we had lunch at one of our favourite restaurants which is nearby. OH bought me a splendid card but as I can’t get to the shops at the moment, he had one from my card stash - a picture of a teapot and milk jug!
He had also bought me a pair of sapphire earrings!

First husband who died after 30 years of marriage and I couldn’t even remember the date of our marriage so no celebrations......must be me though - married to second husband for 20 years and we’re the same - can’t remember the date and don’t celebrate it!
Aw, I remember when H was ill and knew he wouldn't see the 40th ( Ruby ) so not long before he died, he presented me with his grannie's ruby and diamond ring. That was so lovely. We used to remember every year so a specially cooked meal was in order complete with cake for the occasion.
Have a lovely day tomorrow, Witzend Happy Anniversary. x
Gosh, this makes me smile a lot. I can never manage in a thousand years forgetting my A. That's not a criticism. Certainly not. Just another wonderment of how different we all are. Hope you have a very lovely A tomorrow. 47! I'm so envious. ?.
47 years! I haven’t got an anniversary card, but there’s one in my card stash that says, ‘You’re my soulmate - you know how* to load the dishwasher’ - highly apt - so he’s getting that, and I will nip to the corner shop later and get him a bar or two of chocolate.:
*I will insert ‘best’ there, since if I ever do it, he re-arranges it to his own satisfaction - and to cram more in.
