Good Morning Everyone,
Looking grey outside but its dry here in Brackley .
Today , a quiet day mainly TV with Tour De France this afternoon , its still in Brittany as well .
Race full of accidents yesterday , with crowds not under control .
my trip to Bicester only was OK , apart from gaps in buses times , had a breakfast bap with bacon , sausage , egg, and tomato for £4.50p plus a coffee as well to add on top .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a beautiful bright and sunny Anglesey. Thanks for sharing DustyAngel, yes it has finally arrived.
I shall be in the garden all day in my shorts, topping up my brown legs and making the best of it.
Happy birthday ? to Mr Marydoll, the world’s second most frustrating husband. Orlin has the gold medal on that score.
Hope your brother is not suffering too much Kitty and that don’t me answers are forthcoming soon.
Hope today is better for you GrannySomerset.
Your little party sounds wonderful Cornergran, just the ticket.
Sending out good wishes to missing posters and hoping to see them soon.

Some answers Kitty, don’t me??? Where did that come from?

Susan56 Sun 27-Jun-21 08:47:12

Good morning from Shropshire.Forecast is another dry day??

Another day like yesterday, gardening for DH, house chores for me this morning then reading and watching/supervising DH this afternoon. We are enjoying these quiet days.

Yesterday Henry had an accident at the park, fell from the climbing frame. His poor little face is such a mess?

GrannySomerset, I hope you have had a better start to the day today.Hopefully things will improve when the carers start.FIL was very resistant to carers but after just a few days looked forward to seeing them.It took so much pressure of MIL and it is so good knowing someone is coming each day to share the burden of care.

FIL is still in hospital. No visitors still.DH’s sister went yesterday but wasn’t allowed in?but was able to drop off pj’s etc

Mary, I hope you have an uneventful journey home??your post had me laughing out loud?

Thinking of our many missing friends and hope to see you back soon. Also thoughts to Auntieflo,Grandmajet and all who are unwell?

Have a good day all??

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country. Overcast at moment.
Haven't read through yet but did notice Mr MDoll has a birthday so happy birthday wishes coming your way?.
Gammon for dinner and not much else planned for the day.
Thoughts with missing posters, may you all enjoy your Sunday and find some ? along the way.

GrannySomerset Sun 27-Jun-21 09:02:10

Despite being up at 3.00 am for no obvious reason we are having a much calmer start to the day. Absolutely nothing planned so will take it gently and not shout - does absolutely no good and is demeaning to both of us. Thank you for all the supportive messages which helped a great deal.

Am shocked at how much I miss the dishwasher and its primary function of keeping the kitchen tidy. Suspect that our six years old machine will have to be replaced but we’ll see.

Lovely stories, Marydoll, you are quite incapable of doing anything ordinary or dull. Hope MrM has a happy birthday and stays out of trouble. Hoping all those worried about loved ones have better news soon.

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton, with rain forecast this afternoon.

Spent a lovely afternoon yesterday sat in the sun with a coffee while watching DD's riding lesson. Luckily she was in the outdoor school. Afterwards we repaired to a nearby pub and sat in the garden with wine! Picture is DD waiting to start her lesson.

Watered the garden when I got back, then sat out and finished a book. Watched the rugby cup final, a very exciting match, and am so glad Quins won.

No plans for today, just the Sunday papers and puzzle pages. Bacon sandwich for breakfast, and roast turkey breast later for dinner.

Have a pleasant Sunday everyone.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. The sun is trying to come out today. We have had 48 hours of rain then drizzle. I spent yesterday afternoon in the conservatory reading.
Today I hope to get into the garden and sort out a border that is looking very overgrown.
Happy birthday MrDoll.
Thinking of all those with challenges, worries or are unwell.
Hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe,

ginny Sun 27-Jun-21 09:13:31

Good morning all.
The weather is not too bright here in N. Bucks but at least it is dry.
Very enjoyable family picnic yesterday and it was lovely to see so many families enjoying the country park.
MIL and DD1 here for lunch today.
Hope everyone has a good day with smiles along the way.

EkwaNimitee Sun 27-Jun-21 09:18:35

Good morning, Mick and All from a currently sunny Carlisle where it seems to be finally warming up a bit. About time, I have felt really cold the last few days, back in my fleece and with the CH on.
Yesterday I went out early to the big DIY store for bits and bobs and got some of them including more lampshades for the growing collection which is waiting for installation. Close to the checkout they had placed a large selection of cacti and succulents, one of my weaknesses. I weakened. Well they were good prices and I now have big sunny windowsills.
The rest of the day I spent scanning in more of DH's photos, then watched the Tour de France. One major pile up caused by a silly woman more intent on catching the TV camera than watching the race. She was certainly successful in that...I hope she was suitably mortified thinking of her face being flashed around the world onto millions of TV sets.
Today, I hope to get out for a walk...time to explore the neighbourhood properly. Then more scanning, reading and watching the cycling.
Best wishes to our missing posters and a happy Sunday to all.

Good morning Mick and all from sleepy mid Cornwall. Grey skies. Rain during the night but a temporary lull at the moment. Lots more to come. Have lights on in our little cottage. Very dark.

DD and DGD arrived just before midnight so we didn’t get to bed till late. Her migraine improved enough by late afternoon for her to drive .

Lots of indoor activities today.

Haven’t read anyone’s news yet but will do catch up before the day is out.

Good morning all. It's cloudy but clearing in Polmont. I'm struggling at the moment as I have reduced mobility in my left hand and lots of pain in my thumb and in other joints. It's very annoying but others have worse so forgive my wee moan. Happy birthday to MrMarydoll. I have no plans today. I'll do a small ironing and weed if I feel like it. Have a good day all.

Beechnut Sun 27-Jun-21 09:47:47

Wishing MrMarydoll a Happy Birthday ???
Your garden looks lovely Marydoll and one thing you can say, your life is never dull ?

Nannagarra Sun 27-Jun-21 09:50:27

Good morning from sunny Sefton. (‘Good morning for me is elastic. Sometimes I post in the afternoon, often to give support. When I read similar comments in the next day’s thread I hope mine have been noticed.)
Enough of my rambling. Happy birthday MrMarydoll, congratulations to maydonoz’s DS2 upon his wedding (finally) and a virtual hug for poor Henry - bless him.
I’m another who could well appear in the dock, guilty as charged.
Gardening and washing on the agenda today. I do like your garden, Marydoll. Magical.
Have a super Sunday graMingos.
?????

Grandmajean Sun 27-Jun-21 09:53:12

Morning !
DH gone to ring local church bells. DS gone to do same in next village. Both expecting tea/coffee here when finished. DS has a perfectly good home of his own to go to but I spoil him so he turns up and we do a Sunday paper quiz !
Happy birthday Mr. Marydoll - will read posts later.

Mapleleaf Sun 27-Jun-21 09:56:02

Good morning all.

It's a rather dull but still dry for now, South Yorkshire. It does look as if it could rain at any moment even though the forecast suggests it won't.

Not a lot planned for the day - it's a see what transpires day.

Could it be something in the elastic of your socks that you might be allergic too, Greyduster?

I will have my breakfast then come back and read all the posts thoroughly as I've only skimmed through them. I've noticed some lovely photos today (and some intriguing ones, Marydoll - so will be back to find out what they are all about ?).

Take care.

Gelisajams Sun 27-Jun-21 09:56:58

A quick good morning from Morecambe Bay. I will read later. Im only posting so I can find the thread later tonight when I can catch up!
Take care and stay safe everyone ?

aggie Sun 27-Jun-21 10:05:15

Good Morning all, it’s a lovely sunny day here so far , unfortunately there’s a cold north wind too so I’m indoors
I have a few crochet throws on the go , but I picked up the wrong hook for the current one and did a whole row before it dawned so I’ve pulled out all 193 stitches , so here goes with the correct hook !

Grandmafrench Sun 27-Jun-21 10:10:52

Good Morning everyone - warm, sunny, windy, blue but much hotter next week. All tans should not be attempted after this month, except by desperate tourists. Just ? too hot.?

Lovely horse ? and rider photo, Blue. Sorry you seem to have had a flare up, GrandmaB - any idea if you were responsible? Too much gardening? Feel better soon.x

I used to feel like you with my roses and paeonies in Normandy, Maw. Soooo unnecessary and sad when we wait all year for Nature’s miracles to see them trashed in a matter of a few very wet hours at the wrong time!

Happy Birthday, ??? MrDoll

Glad you feel in better spirits this morning, GrannyS. It must be so hard but take all the help…..and if it’s not the first problem and it won’t break the bank, why not get yourself another dishwasher. I would. I just did and the difference in the level of ‘clean’ is astonishing.

So thrilled they turned up safely, muse. Now you can have a proper catchup and some family fun. Kick off your wellies and go a bit mad! ?

I’m sitting in the sun with my coffee and my ‘agenda’ looking at free dates to make plans. That’s something which will be hard to do after all these months of staying home. Local friends have gone to see some chums in Spain today. Just overnight. It can be done from here with such little effort.

Have the best day you can, everyone. Be calm, be Zen, be happy. ?????????‍♀️

French hugs x

Jaxjacky Sun 27-Jun-21 11:10:12

maydonoz congratulations to your DS2, worth the wait I expect and a very Happy Birthday to MrMDoll does he realise he’s lucky to have got to this milestone after recent events! ?

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 27-Jun-21 11:10:39

Good Morning all from cool and cloudy Harrogate. My Dsis slept in so no church this am. This pm we go to DD1s house for a meal. It will be the first time for a long time that she has seen my DGC. Then tomorrow she travels back to Surrey. Marydoll your exploits in Edinburgh had me in stitches!! Thanks for reminding me about M&S, my friend and I have usually eaten in Jenners (no longer) or the National Gallery, so we do need a replacement for Jenners.
Kitty long may your DB show improvements, and GrandmaSomerset I hope you have no more problems. Scentia you have a GS like mine! He thinks he is Jack, and is looking for beanstalks to chop down!!
I say that cycle pile up on TV, Mick where there any injuries? What a disappointment for them!

Have the best day you can, folks.

joyce6135 Sun 27-Jun-21 11:14:05

Morning everyone, slept in this morning after a long and tedious journey back from Cornwall yesterday, 7 hours. 4 and a half going! However had a lovely time there for nephews 40th, he was very pleased to see us. ( I went with another nephew who thankfully drove). I don’t envy Cornwall through July and August when the holidays start!
I must say that every day I look forward to Marydolls sagas, they set me up for the day! Put a smile on my face, they are always so amusing. Haven’t seen Sheep and Cattle on here for some time, I expect the farm is extremely busy. Anyway I’m going to have a quiet and stress less day today hopefully, take care everyone.x

Morning alĺ from a dull but dry West Yorks.Family here late afternoon for Sunday dinner.DGCs now have activity commitments which does spoil chance family outings but the older they get it is to be expected, a few more years they will be off so do try and make these occasions special.
Marydoll you should write a book in diary format Adrian Mole has nothing on your daily entries. How you make me laugh?.My DH also frustrates me with his lack of hearing, still unsure if it is selective deafness.
Dinner prepared, now go to visit the older ones 92+ who are all in poor health, deaf, mobility problems but are so tuned into what is going on in world I do so admire them all.I only wish we had talked/instructed them into the world of technology some 10yrs ago.
Take care all.Thoughts to those with illness and worries.
