Good Morning and it’s looking a brighter one so far. We are off to Leeds shopping today hoping to find some bargains in the John Lewis sale ?. Sad news about Gap leaving the high street but it has been coming for a while.
Yesterday as the weather was drizzly rain we took DGS to soft play where he had a ball. Pre Covid we often used to take him on a dull day and it’s amazing to see how 18months on how he was able to climb and get on things with ease he couldn’t do then.
Went for lunch after and the afternoon playing with a new to he managed to con Grandad into buying!
In the evening I watched Andy Murray’s win. All the emotions in his games I almost feel like I’ve played in them myself at the end ??.
Thinking of everyone with problems/health etc take care all

Good morning Mick
Excellent news Ash
I’m up early to see DD and DGD off. They’re having a day in St Ives. Getting there by train. Wish I was going with them. ?
Had a comfortable night with the leg.
Back later to read everyone’s news

Good morning from sunny Colchester. July has arrived with better weather here in East Anglia.
In other good news, our back garden will be ours by close of play today. The fella is moving to the front to build us a path. Hopefully that won't take another fortnight.
Usual Thursday online quiz with the family tonight.
Love to all x

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy but dry and the sun is forecast to be coming out later.
So pleased you got a good outcome from your GP Ashcombe take care on your journey.
There’s lots of lovely meet ups, holidays and family visits planned, I hope everyone has a good time and safe travels all
Today we’re looking after the DGC and taking them to look around Inverness museum. It’s only small so we won’t be there too long but we’ll fit in a walk by the river Ness in town as well and the usual picnic lunch on a bench somewhere
Then this evening we’re all meeting up for a meal out at a local restaurant as it’s DD2 birthday today.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning from a dry NE where it is cool but looking promising.
DH's trip to the dentist was successful, she checked the abscess site and removed the loose tooth.
We had a very disturbed night but there is nothing on today other than the Sainsbury delivery.
GD's concert was lovely, some very talented youngsters.
Today is the anniversary of the day DH and I first met on a car rally in 1963, lot of mileage under the bonnet since then grin
Enjoy being out and about but take care.

Good Morning everyone and pinch punch. Dry and bright on Severnside. I was not keen on getting out of bed this morning. After reading Dwms posts it makes me aware of how much time I waste doing nothing.

Glad your all medically sorted for your trip Ash.

I’m off to Cribbs Causeway later, there is a few things I want to get and I’ll do some food shopping as well as I’ve a mammogram appointment tomorrow.

Take care all and enjoy your day ?

Good morning from an overcast south Cornwall, where an angry squirrel is making a racket in the trees above my patio. I feel I've worried people by mentioning the allotment, but actually it's safer than being at home, where my tiny flat is barely wide enough for my crutches and I have to plan every move I make. I appreciate your kind thoughts though.

Achieved masses there yesterday; uncovered the pond, found a giant comfrey plant and marvelled at how many sorrel plants I suddenly have. Plus maybe a couple of hundred tiny sycamore trees, will get my grandson to pluck those out as I'm not allowed to bend yet.

Youngest son coming this morning to return my vacuum. It loves his flat so much it has been on a 10-day visit to him. I shall more than welcome it back!

Have the best day you can, lovely people.

Good morning from a Morecambe Bay. We are off to Worcester today en route to Ilfacombe. Will pick DS2 up but he’s just sent a text to say a couple of junctions on the M6 are closed. Could cause us a few problems….
Will catch up later. Take care and stay safe everyone ?

Good morning all from S Hants where the sun is up and out. Good news Ashcombe on the BP, I envy your breeziness on having the MRI, I’d be having kittens, enjoy your mini break. And Dwmxwg face to face makes things clearer for everyone, sounds like you’re running a laundry!
Not a lot planned, I’ll do some weeding in the garden and maybe a bit up the allotment, the weeds are loving this damp warmish weather of late. MrJ will have round two of trying to get the TV in our bedroom working, funny what a football tournament does to motivate people.
Have a lovely day all gramingoes ????.

Good morning from a sunny, warm S Welsh coast, the air is so still. I have been awake since silly o' clock.
Glad your GP sorted out your problem Ash, have a lovely few days with your DD and just relax.
Mr L has a dentist's appointment this morning, after that he is going to water our son's garden, I will tag along for a change of scene.
Sirloin steak and miniature new potatoes for supper.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day and sending a hug for those in need of one ?

Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset. Sunshine promised later.

Good news about your BP ashcombe, new sofas should make your life more comfortable grandMattie. I’m in awe of your energy dmwx, wishing you the best holiday.

Busy day here yesterday, accomplished all we set out to do and a bit more. Our electrician confirmed he can come tomorrow, hooray. Onwards now to find a carpenter who can replace our internal doors this side of Christmas. Like gold dust here. Spoke to my childhood friend, it was her birthday, we were able to chuckle together although it always upsets me to hear her now, a brain bleed has taken much of who she was.

Car is off for an MoT today, we’ll abandon it at the garage then have lunch at the sea front and a walk before retrieving it. I’m always edgy when MoT time comes around, somehow it feels like a child going for a test. Mr C views my reaction as evidence I am finally losing the plot. He could be right. grin.

Take care everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Good morning from north Surrey. Sun is shining. Been awake for ages but not up yet.
Glad your BP has calmed Ash. I don’t envy your MRI, I find them claustrophobic and struggle to keep still.
Boys here, still asleep, they will have their promised pancakes for breakfast and DH will do the school run whilst I continue to get all washing, ironing and cleaning done ready for our holiday tomorrow. Not helped by having mum and dads and the boys washing too.
I am meeting up with my sisters at lunchtime and we will be joined by mum and dad for lunch once we have had an hour to chat. I expect it will be carry on doing what we are doing but it is good to share our concerns face to face rather than by txt messages and phone calls.
Hope to get most of the packing done this evening.
Wishing all a good day

White ?!
Good morning from a bright E Kent. At last, we’ve got some sunshine and are forecast temperatures above 15C!
Ash, I’m glad you’ve had such a good experience with your GP and that the drug clash has been sorted. Such a simple solution!
Yesterday, we went to order the two sofas we’d chosen what feels like last year. DH needs to think about things for so long that often we miss good offers. It’s not that he’s mean but…
DS1 is coming back from Northumberland this evening. Good to see him again. He’s got at least two more holiday before he leaves on 31 July.
Do keep safe, plaster a smile on your faces and keep b…ring on! Love to GraMmingos! ?☀️??????

Ashcombe Thu 01-Jul-21 06:16:27

Good morning, one and all from a bright, sunny Torbay.

Thank for all your kind and supportive messages yesterday, following my BP crisis. Although my usual GP has left the practice, I had an excellent telephone consultation with another, who advised that Ramipril doesn’t work well with the ibuprofen I take for arthritis! It has taken 18 months for that to be suggested so I’m glad of fresh advice. The receptionist went out of her way to accommodate me and both were so helpful that I emailed the practice manager to compliment them.

By coincidence, I have an MRI scan of my heart at the hospital this morning then I’m planning to travel to Crewe to visit DD2 and family for a few days. My first rail trip since March last year! The GP jokingly suggested I inform the train manager of my health issue in case I keel over! By last night, my BP was near normal.

I’m heartened to know that Marydoll achieves much despite her raised BP and hope you enjoyed the gathering yesterday. I hope you are healing well, muse with no serious damage. ginny: you had a fine day to visit Brixham! Lovely photos, Susan56! You are indeed blessed to have such places close to home.

I hope the concerts went well for B9 exchange and harrigran. I love seeing children perform, especially when they’re young and unpredictable! One memory is of five infants singing “Five Little Speckled Frogs” when one was caught short so proceedings had to stop to enable the Deputy Head to deploy bucket and mop!

My thoughts are with the bereaved families of Grandmajet and Panache’s DH.
Have a good day, everyone. ?
