Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey and wet morning here in Brackley this morning .
My usual quit day , with a mixture morning TV , and the Tour De France later .
Did a stir fry yesterday for a change from having a Chinese Take Away , seemed more healthier .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a damp S Hants. Imogen had her burn re dressed at hospital and needs a GP/Nurse visit for the same next week. Main problem will be it must be kept out of direct sunlight for the weeks ahead, no shorts/swimmers, she seems fine in herself. FIL now home in Belfast after having a pacemaker fitted, all safe.
Scentia your hotel sounds ‘interesting’, hope you’re back to home comforts soon. What a game last night.
Thoughts with grannyactivist and others with poorly family. Have a lovely day all ??

Good morning everyone from a slightly cooler Glasgow. We had a heavy shower about teatime last night which has cooled us down a little, 17C on the open road ATM. We are heading for Ayr for a walk along the prom then lunch but it's looking rather overcast with wee patches of blue sky. Still, a blaw will chase the cobwebs away.
Hope everyone has a pleasant day.

Good morning everyone from a wet Northampton. It will be a day indoors I think.

A lovely afternoon spent yesterday in DS's garden wishing DGD2 a happy birthday, eating cake and drinking Pimms!

A quiet day ahead - have been up and down to the bathroom since 4am, stomach pains etc; must have eaten something that disagreed with me, so will take it easy.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good morning
from a very wet stormy West Midlands- love the smell of the rain although hope the sun makes an appearance later

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Lins1066 Sun 04-Jul-21 08:47:07

Good morning from our part of the S Welsh coast, rain forecast here too. One of ours and family are coming to visit later, looks like the planned BBQ won't happen. Luckily I hedged my bets and made a beef casserole yesterday.
Dog walking and reading the papers this morning, that is quite enough.
Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.

Nannagarra Sun 04-Jul-21 08:53:42

Good morning from the Sefton coast where it is now brightening up. May the same cheering weather be enjoyed by those in hotels, staying with family, under canvas on Bodmin Moor, and celebrating a birthday and a baptism. I’m glad to hear better news for Imogen, Jaxjacky. Let’s hope ga’s DGD’s situation soon improves. I loved the photo of the cow you posted yesterday, LauraNorder.
There is nothing specific on my agenda today. Whatever you do, may a smile and a flamingo be on your horizon.

Good morning Mick, morning all from cloudy and grey South Lanarkshire.

I’m so glad to hear that your GDD is feeling ok and recovering well Jaxjacky.

Dawyck gardens is one of our favourite places Stilllearning it’s so beautiful, we have a Dawyck Beech in our own garden.

I spent yesterday morning weeding and tidying the garden and was quite pleased with my efforts. I’d washed the garden furniture cushion covers too so of course the afternoon was showery and I wasn’t able to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labours. Sod’s law in action

DD is on holiday so we will pop over to water their pots which will be dry despite yesterday’s rain.

CBA with cooking today so it’ll be a take away from our excellent Indian restaurant this evening.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday. ??

Good morning Mick (don’t quit!) and all from a cloudy northwest Lancashire coast.
Really enjoyed art group on Friday, painting clouds and a seascape even though I had the beginnings of my old war wound (IBS) starting. Spent yesterday in bed with stomach pain, headache and strangely, shooting pains up and down my legs which may be the statins. So ill. Watched the match in bed.
Slightly better today so will tidy up and gingerly try to have a normal day.
Thoughts to Imogen and all with worries.

Grandmafrench Sun 04-Jul-21 09:04:37

Good Morning from the Good Morning Saturday thread…….where I’ve stupidly posted after catching up on your news. Duh!
So sorry and if you can’t be bothered to read I shall quite understand. Have a good Sunday and stay safe.
Bella ? is saving you a place, Laura ?

Good morning Michael and all GNs. The sun is out in South Yorkshire at the moment. The thunder we were threatened with did not really manifest itself - a couple of growls and a lot of rain. We brought GS back with us from his very wet footie tournament yesterday afternoon and he stayed overnight to watch the England match with grandad. He’s still asleep. Gone are the days he would be jumping on our bed at six o’clock. Just as well; he’s five feet ten! His ma and pa will pick him up and have lunch here later, then it’s back to whatever passes for normal in this house! I daren’t look at my garden this morning - the rain will no doubt have given it a battering.
Enjoy your Sunday, one and all.

Grandmabatty Sun 04-Jul-21 09:10:25

Good morning all. Polmont is very warm this morning but there are clouds and blue skies in equal measure so who knows which will win. JaxJacky it's good that your dgd is recovering well. Beechnut I hope your knee settles and Hollysteers take things easy. I cannot paint clouds and get very frustrated.
Yesterday I pottered about, got housework and washings done and rested tendonitis hand as much as possible. It was a quiet day but I like that. Today I have a long chat with a teacher friend to look forward to. We will set the world of Scottish teaching to rights! Then dd and dgs are visiting this afternoon for a couple of hours. I will hear about their trip to the museum of flight at North Berwick yesterday. Dgs loves planes or "irplanes and helipoppers". I will make rhubarb and ginger jam too. Enjoy your Sunday.

Grandmabatty Sun 04-Jul-21 09:14:09

Grandmafrench you are psychic! I had commented to my aunt that mum was on good form and we'll behaved and dd said, "that's because she was eating. We just need to keep feeding her." ?

B9exchange Sun 04-Jul-21 09:24:31

Good morning Mick and all. Tipping it down with rain here, the first day of our Scotland Adventure. Planning to leave in an hour or so. Hollysteers do hope you feel better soon, perhaps a trial without statins or a change of type if you think that is the problem, sometimes the side effects are worse than the benefits.

Have been reading about GrannyActivist's granddaughter on another thread, she must be so worried, a terrible time for the family.

Keep safe and well everyone, thoughts and prayers for those who are struggling.

EkwaNimitee Sun 04-Jul-21 09:26:35

Good Morning, Mick and Everyone from a bright but greyish and cool Carlisle. It rained all yesterday afternoon, not heavily but enough to stop me mowing the lawn after all. Perhaps today....at least I don't have to go out and water it. I'm planning a little ride out shortly as I need some fruit and veg but am also planning to look out for new cushions in the next door shop. If I'm feeling energetic, I may go out in the back garden and continue removing turf for my planned shrub border. On the other hand I might just read the papers and continue my book.
I ban housework on Sundays but not gardening work, somehow, how ever energetic I am outside, it doesn't seem like work.
The best day possible day to you all.

monk08 Sun 04-Jul-21 09:36:20

Good morning from a cloudy Black country at least the rain has stopped.
Enjoyable evening with friends yesterday rounded off by a great win in the football.
Not much planned for today perhaps some ironing and if weather improves a walk round the local park.
Enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning everyone from a dull dreich start to the day here on the east coast of Fife.

I’ve had a restless nights sleep due to a tummy upset probably caused by me eating cheese sauce two days in a row, serves me right I should know better, but it was soo delicious at the time. Mustn’t do that again what a silly fool I am

I’ve had to cancel a visit to see my dear sil I’ll have to go another day

Hope all you lovely gns are keeping well and enjoying whatever makes you happy smile

Megs36 Sun 04-Jul-21 10:20:01

Morning all, just caught up after wonderful wedding of dear grandson, Mr Covid didn’t manage to spoil the day or the weather!
Feel a bit disoriented after all the disappointments and cancellations of the last year…..So wonderful to see our lovely family together after so long, and so many happy faces (and lovely clothes - including the men ‘s too.)

Blossoming Sun 04-Jul-21 10:20:42

Good morning all from currently sunny Lancashire. We had tremendous thunderstorms and torrential rain last night and the forecast isn’t good for today. It’s much cooler, thank heavens! Yesterday it was very hot and humid. It’s good to read of people getting out and about and seeing friends and family. Not so good to read of injuries and worries. Take care all and have a good day ?

LauraNorder Sun 04-Jul-21 10:38:54

Good morning from a lovely bright Isle of Anglesey.
Just a quickie as I’m very busy tickling Bella’s tummy while I virtually dangle my feet in to that lovely pool with the sun beating down on my back. I wish.
A real and sincere wish for grannyactivists very poorly granddaughter in NZ to get better soon.
Glad Imogen is okay Jax, it’ll be difficult not wearing shorts in the sunshine but worth the effort to allow healing.
Damp camping is par for the course and part of the fun. Obviously not getting your granddaughter down Alizarin.
It’s our 51st wedding anniversary today, Independence Day in the States, make of it what you will. I don’t want to hog the thread while there are such worries so will assume you all wish us well, I thank you all for your kindness and let’s say no more.
Just remembered I said just a quickie.
Will stop rabbiting and wish you all the best of days ?

Grandmafrench Sun 04-Jul-21 10:45:05

Shut up Laura and accept warmest wishes for your 51st Anniversary. ? Have the best of days, both of you. ? xx

Blossoming Sun 04-Jul-21 10:53:27

Happy Anniversary Laura and Orlin wine

Nannagarra Sun 04-Jul-21 11:01:40

Refuse to be told to ‘say no more’ about your 51st wedding anniversary, Laura. Congratulations! Have a lovely day. ???

Good Morning Mick and all morningsters.

Wet Cornwall - so I had to don my raincoat for the slow walk across the garden to the bathroom in our bedroom annex. Mya as usual made her mad dash for her poop and pee than back to the cottage. She will spend the day at the door starring longingly outside for the odd squirrel that dares to wander into view. The other photo is of a massive double geranium, I brought with me to Cornwall from my Derbyshire garden. MrM has just described it as gloriously untidy and took a photo for me. Thank you rain.

I've a tubular bandage on my knee down to my calf Beechnut. It seems to be helping. It will be a day of ice packs and elevation again. I must persevere with it and stop being in such a rush to do things again. Enjoy the lul I tell myself.
Thank goodness for my books. MrM and myself are not football fans but very pleased for the result. My day and night was full of tennis.

Same here B9exchange about GrannyActivist's granddaughter on the other thread. I've left a message there too. It's a worrying time. That little one has gone through a lot, as has Imogen. Hope she enjoys the Bude holiday Jax.

That pool looks so inviting Grandmafrench. We have enough room for one. Did you have it installed?

There seems to be a lot of sod's law around at the moment Baubles. That's what I thought last week when I fell the day after my family arrived.

Hollysteers Take it steady today. Sorry to hear about your IBS.

Grandmabatty. We are making quite a group of those that must need to enjoy a lull due to pains or healthy problems. Take care and enjoy the jam. I put a decent splosh of whisky into mine when I make it.?

MrM is making a pot of coffee and has said we have just run out! The instant is pretty good so that will see us through till next Saturday's delivery. I might be driving soon. slap wrist.

I'm texting that reticent DS of mine today. No news since he rang about the second job offer that will have now been accepted. It means he will spend at least 3/4 of his time out of the country. He has told the company about DGD's heart condition and that he will need to come back to the UK at a moment's notice if needs be.

Coffee read so will let MrM tell me about the progress on the new build.

? ?

A very Happy Anniversary to you both Laura! ?❤️?
