Yes, just what we all thought here.
A good match though overall, Italy are a really good team and we held them to 1-1 for so very long.Penalties are often hit and miss, but the feeling is here that Southgate made a big mistake
With the two subs taking them ‘cold’ as it were.

It was great to have a team who supported diversity and equality so openly. Lots of fans from all ethnicities wearing England shirts - that hasn’t happened before. It’s a better performance than any England team of recent years. Good on them. Gareth Southgate should get a knighthood.

I feel so sorry for the penalty takers. One if them was sobbing. Please do not call Gareths decision idiotic, he is the England Manager he had his reasons for choosing them, it just did not come off this time.
