That sounds delicious!
I'm such a stick in the mud I rarely try new things.

We're drowning in ice cream outlets around here! Mr Whippy calls round in his van every Saturday and Sunday afternoon but I don't like his ice cream so I ignore him. The Italian family ice cream emporium, which has been trading for over 100 years in our town, sends their van round most days. which is unfortunate because I do like theirs We also have 4 farms locally that have diversified into making ice cream and selling it from converted barns. Depending which one I go to, my favourites are: Vanilla Parma Violets, Pistachio, Sicilian Lemon and Salted Caramel Crunch. One of the farms does a "Flavour of the Month" and last month it was Gin & Orange Chocolate not bad at all but not as good as Strawberry & Prosecco

I love ice cream and my favourite is strawberry cheesecake and Aldi's is as good as Hagen Daz.

Many years ago I was in an ice cream parlour in Miami. Coconut ice cream. The best ice cream I've ever tasted.

I've tried and failed over the years to find a similar taste but it's all been in vain.

As for ice cream vans we get one now and again. One of my dogs can't handle the Teddy Bear's Picnic tune and howls her heart out until its finished.

Oh... no, I wouldn't have ice-cream-man ice cream unless I was in Italy!
I think I misunderstood.

I'm not very keen on most ice creams. We still have an ice cream man. His van still plays Popeye the Sailor Man which makes me smile.

No ice cream van out here in the sticks.

Growing up in Glasgow I used to love the delicious ice cream made in our local Italian cafe.

I never liked the thick buttery English ice cream, like Walls, but fortunately I am able to buy Mackie's ice cream which is made in Scotland but sold in many good supermarkets in England.

Vanilla is the classic flavour, but I also like raspberry chocolate and butterscotch.

Us too.
I wonder if it's the same bloke? smile

GrannyGravy13 Wed 11-Aug-21 19:48:16

MissAdventure we have a regular ice cream van.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 11-Aug-21 19:47:24

My treat is a 99 I am not a huge ice cream fan, we told our children that when the van played music they had run out of ice cream ????

Gwyneth Wed 11-Aug-21 19:45:29

Has to be vanilla for me or strawberry second choice. Hardly ever see an ice cream van around these days yet so common when my children were young.

Yes, I love icecream. Favourite is a true vanilla, but everything will get a taste, well apart from mint choc chip. I Make a delicious one with cream and condensed milk. Yes ice cream van visits.

I love ice cream , my favourite is Waitrose coffee .

The ice cream man , Dave , comes to our village and is an old school friend of my husband . He has been an ice cream man since leaving school at 18 .

MissAdventure Wed 11-Aug-21 19:43:27

It's not something I crave, but the icecream man stops directly outside my living room window. (Obviously knows a greedy old cow lives here!)
I always have mint choc chip.
I'm planning to try the fererro rocher flavour too.

B9exchange Wed 11-Aug-21 19:43:13

A good old fashioned really creamy vanilla. Mint choc chip, Magnums, Soleros. But prefer home made.

NotSpaghetti Wed 11-Aug-21 19:40:30

Yes,
Yes,
Vanilla!

SueDonim Wed 11-Aug-21 19:40:00

Not particularly fond of it, tbh. I never think to have ice cream although I might have some if I’m offered it. I’d choose vanilla, strawberry or honeycomb. Def not chocolate.

No ice cream van here.

MissAdventure Wed 11-Aug-21 19:36:43

Do you like it, and does the icecream man come to your neck of the woods?

Lastly, what is your favourite flavour, please?
