Hellogirl1. Mya’s a mixture. German Shepherd, husky and collie. She has one blue eye and one brown. Blue is from the husky in her. Super intelligent but has been known to wander. Apparently, that’s a husky trait. I adopted her two and a half years ago. She’s now six and a half and I love her to bits.

Hellogirl1 Sun 12-Sept-21 23:08:43

I`m glad to have seen a pic of your Mya Muse, I didn`t realise she was a German Shepherd.
Soop, what a handsome little boy! Don`t they seem to grow up fast?
Grandmajean, Jack is beautiful.
YiaYia, I`ve just finished my latest Victoria Hislop book, set on Crete, I now know what your name means!

Doodle Sun 12-Sept-21 23:00:56

Hello all. You too Urms ?
Quick visit from me. We’ve been out all day having a lovely family visit. Back quite late so quite tired.
Hope all the kitcheners are doing ok.
Yiayia hope you feel better soon.
Aah that’s so sweet grandmabatty your boy wonder looking for you.
Lovely photos of animals and babies.

‘Evening All’.

It’s been a hot ‘un here today! ?
Friends from Bolton are out in their apartment and we all met up at noon for a couple of beers in the shade of the bar downstairs. We had a great catch up discussing events during the summer. They were highly interested to know what’s been going on here these last 10 weeks! My lips are sealed ?

Himself watched the Grand Prix. I’m halfway through ‘Grapes of Wrath’ and can’t put it down. I’ve shed a tear or two this afternoon - the hardships those people from the Dust Bowl suffered doesn’t bear thinking about.

We are showered and could go out to eat. Hmm. I’ve just been poured a cold mini cava ... it’s 8:30pm. Can I be bothered?

Trust GG13 is in Norfolk now? Enjoy your holiday lovely lady. Not the Caribbean as you’d hoped but I bet your anniversary break will still somehow be wonderful. You will both make it so.

Hi to you Doodle! ?

Sorry to hear you’ve had a ‘lost energy’ day Blossoming. Rest up. You’ll find your mojo. Actually, when Samson had his hair cut he lost his strength didn’t he?
?

Blossoming Sun 12-Sept-21 19:01:48

Good evening lovely Kitcheners. My get-up-and-go got up and went, so today has turned into a duvet day. Mr. B has provided chicken soup and gallons of tea Lots of yummy goodies in the kitchen today to tempt the appetite ? sending a hug to YiaYia and to Muse. In fact, hugs all round for you lovely lot! Have a great holiday JaxJacky. TOYA

Grandmabatty Sun 12-Sept-21 18:57:57

Yiayia I mixed up my posters! ? For you and I hope you have a better night tonight.

Yiayia4 Sun 12-Sept-21 18:50:29

Thanks Jax your very kind, I’m a moaning Minnie today lots of people much worse than me.
Have a great holiday and send us lots of pictures ??

Jaxjacky Sun 12-Sept-21 18:15:16

Lovely photo soop, don’t hold back to the nurse on your buggeration, I’m sure you won’t.
Not good having a rubbish night Yia, I hope you’ve had a quiet day leading into a much better night later. What a difference muse, progress indeed, I can see why Mya needs her walks. I’m not really an animal person, but there are plans afoot on our break, I’ll post a picture later in the week.
MrJ watching his beloved Leeds play down the pub, which after a deep clean the bar staff are running whilst the landlady isolates. I’m prepping cottage pie, fridge cleaned out and neighbours alerted we’re away, they’ll bring our bins in.
I’ll leave you all to enjoy a pleasant evening x

brook2704 Sun 12-Sept-21 17:34:24

Gorgeous photo of your great grandson soop what a handsome boy he is, thanks for sharing

Nothing to report here, we’ve had a quiet day just pottering in the garden. We’ve got workmen due here tomorrow to make a start on a new garden path and sitting area so there’s been a few things to sort out beforehand.

Your before and after pictures look great muse I can see such a lot of hard work has been done there.

Hope your pre op goes well for you tomorrow SueDonim and that you and soop make progress soon

Thanks for all the delicious kitchen goodies grandmabatty, yia and nannytopsy , I’m feeling rather spoilt for choice! I’d best not tell DH how good you all are at home baking, he’d be feeling very left out and hard done by with just his shop bought Tesco chocolate muffins - they’re not even from their finest range! ?

SueDonim Sun 12-Sept-21 16:47:37

Thank you for the nice comments about my cat. Luckily, they won’t go to his head because there’s only air inside! grin

flowers Soop. I’m having a pre-op check tomorrow for a ‘wimmin’s problem’. Four babies has taken its toll! I’ve been waiting more than 18mths and still don’t have a date but this feels like a step closer. I hope you get some resolution soon.

Muse I hope your Dh sees results soon. What a lovely dog you have! I saw a puppy GS yesterday - it was so floppy and had the biggest ears.

The Cycle Tour of Britain went past our house earlier today. All the local roads were closed. They were accompanied by literally dozens of police on motorbikes and in cars. Where are all these police when crimes are committed? hmm

We take part in the ONS covid research so we had our visit and did our swabs earlier. Yuk! At least we get a £25 reward each time. We’ve part paid for a new laptop with some of them. smile

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 16:37:19

The newspaper is waiting. I shall make a brew, put my feet up and have a long, leisurely read.

My best wishes to you all for a pleasant Sunday evening. Until tomorrow smile moon

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 16:34:55

Well done, Grandmabatty yet more brownie points to add to your vast collection. It will have been special to watch the tennis on a huge screen. Ours is very modest. We have a pal with something three times vaster. Tennis deserves a wide screen. Didn't Emma thrill us all? I confess to making an awful lot of noise. Mr Soop stayed awake throughout. That was a first. grin

Grandmabatty Sun 12-Sept-21 15:43:34

Soop ???

Grandmabatty Sun 12-Sept-21 15:43:01

I'm bringing banana bread, peanut butter cookies and spiced apple muffins to the kitchen. I had a baking morning. An unexpected visit from dd and dgs this morning too. I babysat for him last night and watched the tennis on their massive screen. Not a peep from the boy wonder. Apparently when he got up this morning, he was looking for me. "Grandma, where are you?" So sweet. I've washed floors, baked and weeded a little. I've just some ironing to do. But I'm tired. Soop that is a very handsome young man. Muse I enjoy a catch up on your building works. Blossoming I hope you are feeling better soon. Tara all. A snooze is forecast.

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 15:41:19

We have been notified of a power cut between breakfast and teatime on Tuesday. Just mentioning now as I may forget to tell you nearer the time.
In the afternoon I shall be having a phone call from a drop-bot nurse. Am looking forward to telling her how bloody awful the prolapse is. About 2.5" of bowel protruding from my back end. Chin up! It will possibly get worse before I reach the stage when someone will have cleared the back-log of patients in a far worse situation than mine.

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 15:34:46

Beautiful felines in our Gransnet kitchen. Our "Sweetie Pie" (feral feline) visited for breakfast this morning. Tuna followed by three quarters of a tin of Felix cod in jelly. I've a feeling that she will return later.

Mr Soop is playing with his new toy - a power hose. He appears to be drenched. Happy with it, I'm guessing. wink

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 15:27:08

Baggs I wish that I had been with you. Your photos are colourful, especially the bench.

The tennis final was such a treat. Emma is a charming girl and a worthy champion.
I would like Medneved to win tonight. Sadly not on a television channel that we can access.

Thank you for your interesting post and pics, muse

BladeAnnie Sorry to hear that Covid has interfered with what should be an exciting time for your daughter. So many plans have been thwarted and shelved by this thing that we cannot see.

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 15:12:55

Nudge Nudge Grandmafrench You are missed.

Yiayia4 Sun 12-Sept-21 15:09:43

Take care everyone enjoy your Sunday.

soop Sun 12-Sept-21 15:08:21

Welcome to Daisytwoshoes. You have a very pretty name. What's more, your baking is delicious.

As per, I have a mountain of messages to read and respond to. What are you lot on? You put me to shame.

About to empty the washing machine. After which, I shall return.

Sharing a photo of our great grandson with you. He suddenly looks so grown up.

Dogsmakemesmile Sun 12-Sept-21 14:57:06

Good afternoon kitcheners. Like many, many people I have had to take a PCR test as named as a contact. Negative. Very fast turnaround. Thank you NHS.
I hope all having a good weekend. Grey and cool here. We bought a takeaway meal last night after the results (not had one since Christmas) . Still full. I think it will be beans on toast for tea. Everyone welcome.

muse Sun 12-Sept-21 12:38:25

Thank you for all the welcome backs?. I am all a glow.

Blossoming Mr.M's ulcer is very painful on dressing days and he's been warned the compression bandage will be painful for a few days until the ulcer starts to heal. We have some strong painkillers in stock.
Back home today Cornergran. Well done.
BladeAnnie What a tough few days and then the news about DD1. Will our lives ever stop being interrupted by covid? I'm thinking not ?.
Hello to Daisytwoshoes.
What a gorgeous colour he is SueDonim.
Sounds a Great Gran Day out Baggs. Jax ?
My favourite cake too Nannytopsy
Seems many of us were watching that match TillyTrotter. I wasn't as calm and collected as Tim Henman . Too loud, MrM said to me at times. Brilliant match from both.

Easy day for us both today. Yesterday our track / vergers, which is part of an unadopted road, were cut. Lots of clearing up to do. Forget wheelbarrows - the dumper was in action.

On my way to do a second walk with Mya. It's dry but muddy under foot.

Our Phil is starting on the finishing touches of the limestone slabs around the house tomorrow. It seems ages since I posted photos of the drainage and treatment plant going in. Photos show the main door before and after slabs. Mya sneaks into shots whenever she can.

Nudge Nudge GrandmaFrench ?

Have a safe Sunday everyone.

TillyTrotter Sun 12-Sept-21 09:51:35

Good morning Kitchen. Lovely to hear some of you are having nice lunches and days out.
Nannytopsy lemon drizzle cake (homemade) is my favourite. Thank you for sharing it.
I am tired from staying up later than usual to watch the amazing US Women’s Tennis Final. It was well worth it, congratulations Emma ?
