I've tried both colourwow and the root spray and didn't like either, they are very dry and because they are powder your hair feels clogged up. I found the best one is Garnier root touch up, it's like a big fat felt tip pen and the best way is to apply it, comb it through then give it a blast with the hairdryer (otherwise it dries stiff).

Ex beautician/hair dresser here! I would not advise using the spray products, they make the hair dry and very brittle, so that it becomes very fragile and more likely to snap off a few centimetres from the crown giving split flyaways that stand up like a hedgehog. I use colourwow root touch up. It’s expensive but it lasts an age, it’s a false economy buying the cheap sprays as you will then have to spend a small fortune on products and cuts to get your hair back to a decent condition.

I think it’s hair colour ?
To answer OP, I have tried it, it’s expensive and doesn’t work. You may as well buy a bottle of hair colour, and using a soft brush, touch up your roots and throw the rest away or use it all on the hair. No waste
