Just looking for something good on Netflix. What have you enjoyed lately? Anything really good to cheer me up as I’m feeling a bit depressed.

Just watched “Unforgivable” - film with Sandra Bullock is good, tho a bit grim in parts . Also I have just really enjoyed “Crash Landing on You” a sometimes cheesy Korean love story about a rich South Korean businesswoman who gets swept away paragliding and lands in North Korea and meets handsome army captain, each episode is quite long but there are lots of interesting little side plots - her family back in South Korea were scheming to get rid of her, family dramas in North Korea etc , some bits filmed in beautiful locations in Switzerland. I was actually sad to finish it.

'Stay Close' with James Nesbitt and Jo Joyner.
I binged it. It was very good!

We binged that today

Shocking to think we spent about 7 hours watching it!

Stuck Together is a comedy film set in a Paris apartment block during Covid Lockdown. It’s well dubbed into English, light heated. I’m halfway through so no spoilers for the ending.

we loved that as well it was fun to watch

I saw "Passing" at the cinema, it's now on Netflix, very good film.

Loved Mrs Wilson - watched it when it was on TV and then again on Netflix. Recommended.

Sorry the movie was Mrs Wilson? Recommended

Really enjoyed The Chestnut Man. Another good watch recommendation is Clickbait - we’ve just one more episode to watch.

Thanks for all the recommendations. We had given up on Schitt's Creek too but it looks as though we should try again.

I second ‘ Anne with an E’.
I think you have Geraldine James confused with Vanessa Redgrave Fanny.

Unorthodox. Gripping, informative and heartwarming.

Mrs Lewis is a good movie which I enjoyed.

I was undecided on Schitt’s Creek but by the end of episode 2 I was drawn in. I loved it.

My absolute favourite of the past year was Grace and Frankie. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are so funny together and tears ran down my face listening to them.

Swinging with the Finkels is a gentle English Rom com with slightly naughty bits.

Life in Pieces is marvelous, addictive watching.

I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in wondering what the fuss about SC was. We had a breathless recommendation from a neighbour, telling us we must watch it so we settled down in expectation - but couldn’t even finish the first episode.

I’m torn between hating to give up so quickly, and the sense that life really is just too short!

I gave up on Schitts Creek. My daughter thought it was brilliant.
