Personally i feel he should go as cannot stand to keep hearing all the stories and footage that emerged overnight!

Frosty60 Thu 09-Dec-21 11:10:32

Absolutely ?%.
Like a lot of you I don’t trust any politicians these days and personally I think a bunch of school children could do a better job.

MollyF Thu 09-Dec-21 11:07:57

Definitely NOT. This scandal is ludicrous. The right-on wokes have been gunning for him ever since he took office.

Yes Johnson should have gone before this debacle. I would like us to have proportions representation. This would mean they would make less bad decisions in my view.

Petalpop Thu 09-Dec-21 11:05:51

Without a doubt yes and the sooner the better. I agree with Lexisgranny that there is no party who has a leader or potential leader that I would want to give my vote to. I find it so depressing and I find Boris one big embarrassment.

Not sure why Dominic Cummings didn't let this piece of information out the bag in the summer...but he did say that Johnson and his cabinet are not fit to rule!

Taliya Thu 09-Dec-21 11:00:32

Valchoc...really????

Taliya Thu 09-Dec-21 10:59:15

If Johnson had an Essex or South London accent he would have never been voted in as Prime Minister in the first place. Still too much doffing of caps to these upper class twits (spivs) in this country!

knspol Thu 09-Dec-21 10:58:46

Yes he should but unfortunately it's probably no, he won't. If he did resign, then consider who out of that bunch would replace him???

Taliya Thu 09-Dec-21 10:57:16

Yes, he should resign. Sadly this sort of duplicitous and arrogant behaviour is not news to people who have employed Johnson before he was prime mnister...two major newspapers sacked him for lying. He continues to lie at the dispatch box and thinks its all a joke. Sadly many upper class people are just like Johnson...i sh ould know , i was brought up around them . Maybe the scales are falling from people's eyes regarding piffle waffle johnson now and his friend rees-Mogg.

pigsmayfly. Thu 09-Dec-21 10:55:47

I am furious about the party. He should resign. The worst is that Gove will replace him.

Dottiee Thu 09-Dec-21 10:53:35

I feel that in this climate, there isn’t the appetite for a leadership challenge. But I do think that many in MPs and ministers will be distancing themselves from the PM. I am sure his time will come. With the recent revelations during lockdown and Christmas parties, my heart goes out to our Queen who mourned the passing of her Husband, The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, sitting alone, obeying the rules, and all the people who lost loved ones and couldn’t be there at the end. That is absolutely tragic. The PM and his government should hang their heads in shame. But of course they have no shame. ?

red1 Thu 09-Dec-21 10:50:49

he gets away with it,because of his bumbling manner, he is in his position because it suits the' men in suits'.Remember thatcher, she was got rid of when she stepped over the line.the same will happen with johnson. this is a big line that has been stepped over though.Does this reflect the state of our so called democracy?

valchoc Thu 09-Dec-21 10:47:45

Political parties have always been corrupt throughout history and in every country worldwide.Just check your history books.Answer me this ...WOULD YOU BE PRIME MINISTER ??

bear1 Thu 09-Dec-21 10:47:23

yes he should resign but as Raab will replace him is it better the idiot you know than the one who has also proved to be an idiot and useless at his job.

Marjgran Thu 09-Dec-21 10:41:41

Starmer for me… but that is a long way off. Folk love bumbling Boris, makes one despair about democracy until one contemplates the alternatives! He has always looked after himself, complete narcissist. He may not have Trump’s sheer badness but badness doesn’t much bother him, and he doesn’t keep his word, dissembling is natural to him, like Trump he feels completely entitled.

jenni123 Thu 09-Dec-21 10:39:55

Boris and 'decent thing' do not go together, I really am at a loss to know why anyone votes Tory. they lie, cheat and only do things to help themselves. The sooner he goes the better he is running this country innto the ground.

M0nica Wed 08-Dec-21 23:18:23

We do not know who Boris puts first, because he lies and lies and lies and tries to cover up for friends or, if necessary change the law to protect them and itt is difficult to tell where the lies starts and the truth starts.

I live in a staunch Conservative consituency an even life long Conservatives are repelled by him

This is the man who started an affair with the woman who became wife number 3 whilst wife number 2 was undergoing cancer treatment. Decent? I don’t think so

The woman who had an affair with Boris (and then sadly got cancer) was in turn the mistress when he had wife No. 1

What goes around often comes around. Yes we all felt sad for her when she got cancer LLFL but theee was a time wh en she herself was the mistress. People do tend to forget this detail.

Grammaretto Wed 08-Dec-21 22:43:56

People I know certainly do not like Boris Allsorts.
He has done nothing to endear himself to those of us North of the Border.

GillT57 Wed 08-Dec-21 22:36:26

lemongrove

I agree with you Allsorts ?

Of course you do. I however do not think that Johnson cares about anyone but himself, he is a self serving liar who sneers at the fools who put him in office

lemongrove Wed 08-Dec-21 21:41:29

I agree with you Allsorts ?

Allsorts Wed 08-Dec-21 21:33:56

I think overall people like him, he annoys me like mad, don’t like his private lifestyle etc. however I do think he puts this country first which is more than the other lot do or indeed some members if his own party. At the end if the day everything passes, so I won’t lose any sleep over it, but for heavens sake take care of your own actions and health, we know the facts, don’t need to be constantly told what to do, , like eating sweets and smoking. Get the vac and be watchful, it’s not going anywhere yet,

Forsythia Wed 08-Dec-21 20:11:39

Personally, I hope that happens sooner rather than later.

M0nica Wed 08-Dec-21 20:09:35

Allsorts Boris resigning does not mean a change off government, just a change of Prime Minister. The Conservatives will choose a new leader who will automatically bcome the PM.

When the time comes I do not think he will have a choice. A few senior and longstanding Conservative MPs will visit him, then leave him alone in his office witht he knowledge that there is a loaded gun in the drawer, or possibly a prewritten letter of resignation and he will know what the choice is.

I'm sorry Grammaretto x
