I thought blackford spoke well.
Boris just keeps blustering “get on with the job/vaccine / blah/vaccine/Labour playing politics/vaccine “

This is the man who started an affair with the woman who became wife number 3 whilst wife number 2 was undergoing cancer treatment. Decent? I don’t think so. Regarding his replacement - Dishy is probably the only Cabinet Minister relatively untainted… but he’s so tiny.

Better the devil you know? Tory MP’s are starting to defect to Reclaim and Reform.

According to the press it’s only two.

I trust many politicians. Using the "they're all the same" excuse is the reason that we're in this mess. It's completely wrong, Catch yourself on.

It is used as an excuse for having voted Tory in my opinion.

Johnson and decent thing cannot be put inthe same sentence

VioletSky Wed 08-Dec-21 15:07:08

I don't think he could even resign decently, he'd probably throw a leaving party

trisher Wed 08-Dec-21 14:23:26

Doubt if Rishi could keep the Red wall

trisher Wed 08-Dec-21 14:22:19

I thought the title of this thread was so funny. Couldn't believe it was really serious. It's Boris he has never in his whole career done the decent thing. Don't expect him to start now!
He blustered and lied through two periods as London Mayor. Bet he reckons he's got another election in him.

Blossoming Wed 08-Dec-21 14:15:42

It will be Rishi

Surely, after this latest debacle, there are now enough Conservative MPs who think Johnson is a complete liability, and are ready to back a vote of no confidence. They must be mortified at what he has done to the Conservative Party's reputation and be desperate to get rid of him.

I totally agree with you and as said in PMQ, how does he sleep at night knowing what the British Public gave up to protect the NHS and their loved ones, dying alone or being isolated and sick or, just people being alone...what accountability/what compassion has he shown...he must go or be removed...

Yes, he should. But until more than a handful of Conservative MPs do the decent thing and stop supporting him, he won't.

Lexisgranny Wed 08-Dec-21 13:20:21

Sorry lead the country

Lexisgranny Wed 08-Dec-21 13:18:11

It will be interesting to see how this debacle will affect the North Shropshire by election next week. I believe I am right in saying that this seat has never been anything other than Conservative.

At the moment, I find the whole political scene in this country very depressing. There is no party I would want to vote for, and certainly no leader of any party that I would wish to led the country.

Grandmadinosaur Wed 08-Dec-21 13:14:24

The more times I see that footage of the MP giggling yes he should but I think he will cling on to power.

Personal I don’t trust none of the politicians there are all in it for themselves. One rule for them and one rule for us. So why would he quit.

Sparklefizz Wed 08-Dec-21 13:08:06

Rishi anyone?

Alegrias1 Wed 08-Dec-21 13:07:24

Well that's another reason to get him in the job GG13!

Hopefully other right minded Conservative voters like yourself would think the same.

I don't think he'll be going just yet.

You may well be right- but it will be a disaster for the country on both Covid and Brexit (and everything else)- as no-one trusts him anymore, be it here in the UK, in the EU, or anywhere else - leaving all of us facing the dreadful mess he has made, and is still making!
