All GOOD friends and jolly GOOD company.
Welcome. The buffet is waiting. Our retreat is warm and cosy. There will always be a comforting virtual arm around the shoulder for those who need one.

Cheers! Slainte! Pantglass2 We all gather around to celebrate our new kitchen and the blessing of having each other's companionship.
Blossoming A huge hug. You know what for.
It is time for me to wander away to read today's newspaper. Is there good news?
I am not holding my breath.
The good news is that we have a lovely new kitchen with goodies galore. Mind you, it is the people who are the stars. THANK you for your company.
Enjoy a pleasant and peaceful evening.

Good evening everyone. Lovely lunch here with family and a visit from DS & DGC. They have all gone and the dishwasher is doing its first run. I have just settled in my chair thinking it was about 8 o’clock onto to find it’s 5.30!
Going to be a long evening!
Cheers Pantglas - just what was needed!
I hope everyone has a good evening!
Hi new kitchen, a joy as it always is, I’ve left sausage rolls with fenugreek seeds on the side, my friend made them, they are tasty.
DD popped it to get the washed and dried school uniform, she had a good, relaxing time, just what was needed.
We’ve bought some hooks for ceiling/wall decorations and lights that, allegedly, don’t damage the paintwork, hope not.
Roast chicken in the oven, a proper Sunday.
Have a peaceful evening all x
‘Evening All’
I’ve just sided the table and washed up after our Sunday dinner (no dishwasher these days ?) while Himself is dropping my stepfather off home. We all enjoyed our roast dinner (says she modestly).
It’s good to spend time together. We raised a glass to ‘absent friends’ first in the festively decorated bar underneath us. This time of year is poignant for so many of us isn’t it?
Oh urms, mynan used to 'side' the table. She was a mill girl from Horwich who got her thumb caught in a machine so brought out the other girls on strike until the machines were made safer. I loved her to bits.
Good evening all. Gorgeous new kitchen. I’ve brought some candle bridges for the windows.
Urmston you’ve hut the nail on the head, a poignant time of year. I’ve had a little weep and pulled myself together. Enjoyed a lovely supper and am sitting down to enjoy Strictly. Have a good evening all.
Another new Kitchen. How lovely ?
Nice to see you in here Pants . Thanks for the goodies
soop anyone would be scared but you need this op and you have the thoughts and prayers of all the Kitcheners behind you.
Lovely picture of Willow. Really like that name.
Nice sentiment Urms .
Take care all.
Goodness, I didn’t know we had moved. Happy New Kitchen. Soop, Willow is lovely!
Ooh a lovely new kitchen. I can see Tilly has already brought mince pies but I'm going to add a few more too. Can't have too many to share around at this time of year. What a little poppet you have there soop ?. She must be around the same age as my DGS Rupert who was 3 months old last week - where does the time go?? I'll say goodnight now as my laptop will be calling my name early in the morning ??
Found you all. Another warm and comforting kitchen.
Wonderful afternoon with the family, afraid they ate every scrap so no cake to share. Will do better next time.
. We weren’t sure until 11 this morning if it could happen , so pleased it did.
In my view nerves before surgery are normal soop. I’m sure all the staff will expect it.
Jackson is very handsome n&g, good to see you.
You’re right urms it is a poignant time of year. This afternoon for a while my head went off remembering how my parents enjoyed Christmas with their grandchildren in the same way we enjoy this time of year with ours.
Time I went to sleep. Sleep well everyone. Out tomorrow so may not see you.
Glad you had a lovely day Cornergran. Just popped in to wish you all a goodnight, sorry if I missed mentioning anybody today, I do read all your posts but don’t always remember what I was going to say. Mr. B has purchased Christmas cards supporting Dementia UK, so I can get on with those tomorrow. I will probably find the ones I stored away so carefully after I’ve written them!
N&G I did not recognise Jackson he is a young man now. The next time I blink he will have finished school and be considering what his options are.
corner that was good if the family turned up because I believe a couple were not feeling their best. You would not mind if they ate you out of house and home although a slice of cake would not have gone amiss here.
A mild day today here- I need a few items but I must finish writing the cards.
So pleased you had a lovely time with the family yesterday cornergran, family times are the best
I’ve been tidying up in the garden after last nights gales, quite a few large twigs to pick up and more leaves that I think have blown in from the wood. I’ve got my little sitting out area with a Christmas tree all lit up and looking festive so sat out earlier very well wrapped up. I even had a little squirrel for company who was busy eating his breakfast
I’ve replenished the mince pies, they’re freshly baked this morning so enjoy everyone!
How lovely she is Soop and I love her dress
Soop How lovely to have a great grandchild. My dd was in her 30s when she had our two, and both still very young, I am mid 70 s so most unlikely i will get to meet a great gc. Your Willow looks grand, what a smile. Enjoy.
soop what a pretty young lady, you must be so proud.
Love her expression soop.
Just back from our trip to Wells. Enjoyed the beautifully decorated Bishops Palace, spent time in the majestic Cathedral all after an excellent garden centre breakfast where we found a hugely reduced train set to keep here for our train mad Littlest. I’ll try to attach some photos to share our trip with you all.
Feet up now. Take care everyone.
What a beautiful baby. She won't go short of cuddles.
What a gorgeous baby Willow is soop a real beauty!
Such lovely photos cornergran thanks for sharing
A lot of lovely photos this afternoon. Willow is such a cherub, I could eat her. I thought that was your lounge at first Cornergran and thought you must be very rich to have so many christmas trees. My dh took our car to be fettled earlier and has brought back a basket of fruit. I would rather have a bar of galaxy but if I say that he says he's not going to help me to die. He's not romantic but he does look after me.
I will share some clementines, grapes and plums if anyone is on a diet.
soop your Christmas Fund must go higher. The target must be do-able by hook or by crook.
I can eat my weight in mince pies at Christmastime and thank you for topping the kitchen supplies up brook . I have eaten two - just checking the second is as yummy as the first ?
The Bishop’s Palace pictures are splendid corner , and baby Willow looks a sweet girl.
TOYA.
