Good morning from East Yorkshire where it is dark but dry and mild.
Yesterday I did a few jobs in the house including getting out all the presents I’ve bought so far to see what I still need to get. I still need something as a main for DH who is so difficult to buy for.
Today I’m going to my coffee morning. I look forward to catching up with the ladies there. Then I have something to collect from Next so may go there after lunch.
Have a safe journey Pantglas bring some sun back with you please ?

Good Morning Tuesday 14th December 2021
(94 Posts)Good morning everyone from a mild Northampton, looking a bit damp out though. So long as it stays dry, as we have a neighbours coffee morning, and it entails a 10 minute walk each way. Today's get-together is being hosted by an ex-neighbour who has moved just round the corner, so to speak. Think there are only four of us today, so we can sit well distanced in her front room.
Then I may pop down to Sainsbury's/M&S Food this afternoon for a few things, as it may be a bit quieter then than on Friday when I usually go. Shall be taking great care.
Got all the Christmas presents wrapped yesterday (while the cats were asleep upstairs). Then the problem of where to store them out of reach of the terrible twosome - but managed to make some space in the cupboard under the stairs.
Glad I didn't go to ballet class last week, as someone who was there has tested positive, and other members of the group have been 'pinged'.
Safe travels to Pantglas, and wishing everyone a gentle day.
Buen viaje, Pant. X
Good morning all from a mild S Coast. Safe journey and enjoy Pantglas ??.
I have a drive today, washing bedding and a quick trip to the village.
Have a gentle day all, thoughts with those struggling ??.
Oops safe journey pantglass
Morning Mick and all
It’s still dark here in S E Essex.
We had a lovely evening at DS4’s yesterday it was his birthday (where do the years go)?
We have The Imp today, hopefully he will have a nice long nap this morning as he was at his Uncles also, playing with his cousins and big brother till nearly 9pm.
I have to deliver neighbours cards, make some phone calls and that’s about it…
Keep safe and well folks ???
Bon voyage Pantglas!
Good morning from a mild, dry Torbay. 11 degrees. I’m also later than sometimes, grandMattie. despite going to bed earlier last night as I was dozing off during University Challenge before 9.00 pm!
I can sympathise with you over decorations, Beechnut. My tree has lights which include a star, but that’s all so far. ?Last year was easier because there was nothing else to do!! Hope your back pain eases soon. Safe journey, Pantglas2! ✈️
Take care of yourself and please don’t overdo it, grandMattie and become overtired. I recognise the tiredness causing tears syndrome from when DH was laid up with his back in the summer.
Tell us more about the Scout post, kittylester! Sounds like a great local project.
Today I meet with the Props team - my last visit before Christmas then I’m on the Front of House team tonight for The Ladykillers.
Thinking of all with worries or in pain and hope you feel relief soon. ?????
Good morning everyone from a very dark, wet and windy Inverness. I was woken up quite early by a tapping noise outside which I think was the wheelie bin lid bouncing up and down. It hadn’t closed properly yesterday after being filled with rubbish after clearing out the garage. More sorting out and decluttering today for day 8 of my isolation, not long to wait now ?
Safe journey to your Casa pantglas and enjoy the time away
Your new Sky Glass sounds very good Scentia I had to look it up to see what it was though!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings
Good morning all froma very dark North Leicestershire.
We have the tiler coming again today. This time he is doing the shower in our bedroom before we have it decorated after Christmas.
Cards to post today - both via royal mail and the local Scout post.
Best wishes to everyone with worries today.
Good morning Mick and all his followers. Still dark here in Suffolk so I am not sure about the weather yet.
We are on duty too today and tomorrow. They are playing with Lego at the moment. Christmas cards to finish ( I only got to B in the address book, but there are a lot of As in our family!) and presents to wrap. There are decorations up but no tree yet.
Right, time for the shower!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Goodness I’m late this morning!
Good morning from E Kent. We are promised a heady 10 deg today in our corner of the south coast; it’s very dark with heavy grey clouds.
I had a busy day yesterday, including washing all the hard floors, getting cash from the building society- our last remaining “bank”, all the others have closed.
Today will be even busier - it leaves me almost in tears, when I’m too tired. Tai chi, dentist, visit to nursing home, Zoom with DH’s school friends and WI meeting in the evening….
Hope Marydoll had a successful and productive visit to her GP.
May today be kind to all this in/with difficulties, bring some relief and a chink of joy here and there; not forgetting the appearance of a ?or two??. Carpe diem. ☀️❤️????
Good Morning Mick and all the other Earlybirds. My hairdressers appointment was cancelled yesterday and they can only fit me in Christmas Eve, there will be a lot of snow on my roof top by then as the grey roots are becoming very apparent. I've got my Beanie Hat out though, ready for my walk this morning, to cover the roots. I'm meeting my daughter before she starts work and we'll wander around the streets. She has a few bits of news to tell me so I better make sure I wear my hearing aids otherwise I'll just keep saying "pardon" "what" all the time.
Grey hair, hearing aids, it's great to be totally honest about yourself in GRANSNET
Nothing much else going on, I still haven't wrapped and posted the parcels however they have made it from downstairs to the dining room table so that's a bit of progress. Enjoy Tuesday. xxxx
Good Morning everyone from a dark and damp Severnside. Feels quite warm this morning so I’ve got my bed jacket around my shoulders instead of wearing it.
Yesterday I went shopping. Before I went I was thinking of ways to get out of it. I couldn’t as I wanted to buy a gift for a newborn. My back was hurting and uncomfortable and I was glad to get home. I did no browsing.
Today a bit more towards my decorations will be done. I’ve put the lights on the tree and one decoration so far.
Have a good day all ?
Morning Mick, morning All from a dark and from what I can see dry corner of Somerset
Enjoyable day in Wells yesterday. The Bishop's Palace was beautifully decorated and the Cathedral majestic. After a long day you’d think I would have slept well, nope, just the opposite. No logic.
A stay at home day today, local cards to write, thr grocery order to finish and I suspect a snooze after lunch.
Safe travels pantglas. Special thoughts for all with worries of any kind.
Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.
Good Morning Mick, Pant, Scentia and all who follow from another very mild south coast. 16 deg. at 5.30am. It suits me just fine as I do not like being cold but it isn't set to last beyond the weekend.
I need to make a cake for DH this morning as he was perturbed to find the cake tins were empty yesterday. I wonder who has eaten the contents? Not me - I 'm not a cake fan. Now chocolate ........ hmmm!
I have ordered a couple more presents which should come today. Shouldn't have kept browsing but I saw something my DS will love and something my DH needs so now awaiting delivery of said items.
Hope the day is a good one for us all.
Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and still mild.
Nanna duties today and I will be bringing them over to mine as my Sky Glass is coming today. One visit to the stand in town on Saturday and it’s here, I have been on the waiting list at sky since October!!
I will ask DD if she would like to come for tea as DSiL is away.
I hope you all have a good day and find a smile today ?
Good morning Mick and all who follow from a dry, quiet and dark north Wales where I’m up with sparrowfart enjoying my chamberpot ☕️ of tea.
Busy morning packing, kedgeree for brunch then train to the airport for an overnight before an early flight to mi Casa in Spain ?? tomorrow morning!
I shall ? gaily at AGA Jax and Urms as we race thru to Manchester then waggle the plane tail as we pass GrandmaFrench on the way down to Malaga ? she’ll know it’s me by the squiggly trail.....!
Will pop in later to read all your Xmas bizzinesses - stay safe x
