Prince Andrew Can't Sweat

Doing wrong is not black and white even in law.

My own father who of course had never heard of Prince Andrew, could not sweat. My mother , who had never heard of Prince Andrew, told me this when I was was girl . My mother did not explain about the adrenaline thing as she had no medical knowledge, but after Andrew's admission about not sweating . I can understand how hormones are affected by some severe life events. My father was at the Eastern Front during the Great War.

Also in support of Prince Andrew, he probably did not even know that it was illegal or even immoral to shag an unknown and poor seventeen year old girl. Very rich people have odd childhoods, and it takes special efforts by parents and teachers to teach them what real life is.

I would be interested to see evidence of all this.

Can you post links VioletSky. ?

VioletSky Wed 19-Jan-22 14:21:00

He's had a long history of questionable connections, and lost other roles because of that

One of his friends was a convicted gun smuggler

Others involved in civil wars and corrupt regimes.

He has been dodgy for decades

There has been no public reaction from the royal family, with the exception of the Queen, the royals don’t ’do a Harry and Megan’, thank heaven.

See earlier posts VS as to when PA was made a Knight of the Garter (2006) and Admiral (2012). Egg on face?

VioletSky Wed 19-Jan-22 13:53:41

Grany

The Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles knew about PrinceAndrew’s close personal relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell since at least 2010

They knew about Virginia Giuffre’s allegations since at least 2015

What did the Queen do?
Made him a Knight of Garter & Vice Admiral.

This

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 19-Jan-22 13:50:16

And what are the RF’s reactions, other than the Queen, in response to pressure, removing PA’s military titles and patronages and his entitlement to be called HRH? I have no idea.

VioletSky Wed 19-Jan-22 13:43:49

I think saying that family members can be held responsible for their reactions to his behaviour is very fair.

Anniebach Wed 19-Jan-22 13:32:20

A whole family cannot be judged by one family member, and on the subject of class I was once honoured with an invite to
the funeral of a Gypsy King and watched his caravan being set on fire.

Andrew is ‘the black sheep’ this doesn’t make his family so.

Corbyn isn’t responsible for his brother’s behaviour is he

I’m ok with the background of the monarch being largely unchanged. Pleased Kathryn Middleton brings a slightly more ‘ordinAry’ background
I’ve met many decent honourable people from the local estate who wear primary. Much
Rather have them than Prince Andrew fir exsmple

Anniebach Wed 19-Jan-22 12:17:58

I really don’t understand obsession with ‘class’,

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 19-Jan-22 11:42:49

What do you expect Caleo? Someone from the estate down the road tipping up wearing Primark? The monarch has to represent this country throughout the world and host other world leaders at royal residences, and a very good job the current one has always done of it, as I expect will Charles and William.

Caleo Wed 19-Jan-22 11:35:20

It's a pity the monarch has to be so rich upper class.

nanna8 Wed 19-Jan-22 11:29:34

The RF are a different breed. Still back in the years of Henry V111 and entitlement. How Andrew behaves hasn’t evolved from those days and no doubt mummy just accepts it as part of being royal. Very inconvenient that he is judged by today’s standards, though.

Anniebach Wed 19-Jan-22 11:14:23

I shouldn’t have brought The Tower of London into this discussion ?

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 19-Jan-22 11:04:45

Of course! Well spotted!?

Anniebach Wed 19-Jan-22 10:58:05

The Cullinan diamond ?

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 19-Jan-22 10:49:12

Now there’s a thought Annie. Part of the Crown Jewels perhaps.?

Anniebach Wed 19-Jan-22 10:42:58

GSM can it be the Queen has a crystal ball ?

Bridgeit Wed 19-Jan-22 10:08:02

Perhaps it is time for Knighthoods etc to be laid to rest, it seems & feels so antiquated .
That is not it to say that- persons - should not be recognised & praised for any or all of their endeavours to positively assist in improving the daily lives for so many.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 19-Jan-22 10:04:48

And an Admiral in 2012, well before the VG allegations.

Anniebach Wed 19-Jan-22 09:50:24

grany Andrew was made knight of the garter in 2006

Mollygo Wed 19-Jan-22 09:48:05

That’s fine Lucca, I’m glad.
Trisher’s quite right about one thing when she mentions the danger of cross threads. I was thinking of her on a different thread when I asked if she held her mother responsible, so I won’t ask again.

25Avalon Wed 19-Jan-22 09:31:29

A mother is responsible for her attitude towards an adult child who has behaved badly. It doesn’t mean she has to stop loving him.

Grany Wed 19-Jan-22 09:28:34
